Between Four of Us

Chapter 24

Ch. 24 / 250 Jun 22, 2025

As Camille sat at the kitchen table, her hands trembling slightly while she prepared to face this unknown person who held her parents’ fate in their hands, a sudden, violent banging echoed through the house. The sound was so loud and frantic that it made her jump. Her heart raced, panic flashing across her face as the noise continued, persistent and unsettling.

The boys were instantly alert, tension sparking between them. “What the hell?” Leo muttered, already on his feet as the banging continued.

“Stay here,” Noah ordered, his eyes flicking to Camille before turning back toward the front door. He moved cautiously, but Leo was already ahead of him, his face set in determination. Matthew stayed close by Camille’s side, his hand resting protectively on her shoulder as they watched from the kitchen.

The three brothers exchanged a quick, wary glance as they rushed to the living room, unsure of who—or what—might be on the other side. The loud, incessant pounding filled the air, making Camille’s stomach twist in anxiety.

“Who could it be at this hour?” Matthew muttered under his breath.

Leo reached for the door, hesitating for just a second before flinging it open.

There, standing on the porch, was Bianca. Her face was streaked with tears, eyes wild with rage, her hair disheveled. She looked nothing like the composed, elegant woman Camille had seen before. Now, she was shaking with anger, her voice raw as she screamed out, “Where is she?! Where is Evelyn?!”

“Bianca?!” Noah exclaimed, stepping forward to block her as she tried to push her way inside. “What the hell are you doing here?”

“I need to talk to your mother!” Bianca cried, her voice cracking as she shoved against Noah’s arm, trying to force her way past him. “Where is that selfish witch? She ruined everything!”

Noah held her back firmly, his brows furrowed in confusion and frustration. “Bianca, stop! What are you talking about? What’s going on?”

Bianca’s face twisted in fury, and she sneered, her eyes burning with hatred. “Evelyn took everything from me! She took Victor lawyer from me! She knew what we built together, and she tore it all apart! That manipulative—”

“That’s enough!” Leo snapped, stepping forward, his face darkening with anger. “You don’t get to come here and blame our mother for this! You and Victor were the ones who were ruining everything!”

Bianca’s hands shook as she pointed a finger at Leo, her voice a venomous hiss. “You have no idea what your precious mother has done. She destroyed everything we worked for. She made Victor turn on me, and now I have nothing. Nothing!”

Camille watched in stunned silence, her mind racing as the chaos unfolded. The tension in the room was electric, thick with anger and unresolved emotions. She could see the cracks in the family’s already fragile foundation widening with every word Bianca spat.

“She didn’t deserve him!” Bianca screamed, lunging toward the door again, but Noah caught her, his grip firm as she struggled in his arms.

“That’s enough!” Noah growled, his voice filled with warning. “We’ve had enough of your games. You’re the one who’s been manipulating everything, and now you’ve come to blame us? You need to leave. Now.”

“Get out of here, Bianca!” Leo yelled, his voice shaking with rage as the situation spiraled out of control.

Bianca struggled in Noah’s grasp, tears streaming down her face, and for a moment, Camille thought she might break down completely. But instead, she sneered again, her eyes narrowing as she spat out one final accusation: “Your mother is no saint. She’s as selfish as they come, and she’ll get what’s coming to her. Mark my words.”

Before the brothers could respond, there was another commotion outside. Flashing lights cut through the darkness, and the sound of sirens pierced the night air. The police had arrived.

The front yard was soon swarmed with officers, their presence commanding as they took control of the situation. Bianca was still thrashing and yelling, accusing Evelyn of destroying her life. The boys stood by, tense and silent, watching as the officers restrained her and led her toward the police car.

Camille stayed close to Matthew, her heart pounding in her chest as she watched the drama unfold, wondering how much more madness this night could hold. As Bianca was shoved into the police car, her eyes caught Camille’s. For a brief moment, Camille felt a chill run down her spine—Bianca’s stare was filled with malice, and it was clear that this wasn’t over.

Once the police drove away, the house felt quieter, but the weight of everything that had happened still hung heavily in the air. The boys stood in silence, their faces etched with frustration and exhaustion. Camille’s mind raced, trying to process everything. And just as she began to feel the tension start to subside, her phone buzzed.

She glanced down at the screen, her heart lurching in her chest as she read the message:

Good girl for not telling the police what’s really going on. Now, meet us at the address below. Don’t be late.
