Third person's POV
Just as Black Fox had described, the North Star encompassed a diverse array of individuals.
Not all of them were highly skilled in combat. Some served as eyes and ears, while others acted as intermediaries.
Some were responsible for preliminary work, while others executed missions.
Soon, Adrian was under control.
Under Derek's coercion and temptation, Adrian could only reveal some truths.
Derek learned that Bloodrose was currently in the city as well.
"Boss, my highest authority is to contact him. He would never meet with me. I'm just an intermediary. Please spare me!"
Derek immediately exchanged a glance with Alvin, who understood his meaning right away.
As long as Bloodrose was in the city, they could track his location through phone calls. And then, capturing him wouldn't be difficult.
Alvin quickly prepared the equipment. To ensure safety and prevent Adrian from turning against them at the last minute, Derek approached him with a syringe.
"What are you going to do?"
"Behave and do as I say. If you dare to send a warning to him, I will make you wish you were dead! And your newborn child will be buried with you."
"Alright."
"Try to prolong the call as much as possible. If it's less than a minute, I will take your life."
"Okay, I will."
Dealing with such cunning individuals had one significant advantage. They were not as stubborn as mercenaries.
They were adept at flattering and easily swayed by the winds of change.
Once everything was ready and all the equipment was connected, Adrian began to dial the number.
According to Adrian, Bloodrose's numbers changed frequently. Each number would be canceled after almost half a month.
They had just contacted each other a few days ago.
"Beep..."
The call connected.
Alvin's heart was pounding. After searching for so long, they finally had a clue. He would soon hear Bloodrose's voice. He was extremely tense.
Bloodrose was very vigilant, and any mistake could arouse suspicion.
Even the usually carefree Rolf held his breath in tension.
After three rings, Adrian hung up.
Derek pressed the gun to his head. His whole body exuded a fierce aura, and he said, "Are you looking for death?"
"Don't worry. This is our code. We need to call three times for him to answer. It's always like this."
Sure enough, on the third call, when the third ringtone sounded, Bloodrose finally answered. As Black Fox had said, it was a voice changed by a device, indistinguishable between male and female.
"Hello."
"Black Fox suddenly contacted me!" Adrian's voice was very nervous and urgent.
"Oh? What does he want?" Bloodrose's voice was unhurried, clearly a person with a stable temperament. Such people were the most terrifying.
"He said he wants to talk to you in person and asked if you are available, boss?"
"Huh, is he even worthy? Just find an excuse to get rid of him."
As Bloodrose was about to hang up, Derek increased the pressure. Adrian trembled all over, quickly adding, "Black Fox seems to have something important to tell you. He asks me to tell you that he found a way. He needs to talk to you. He ensures that the mission will be completed tomorrow."
Adrian was only responsible for the contact and did not know the specifics of the mission.
So when he said this, Bloodrose pondered for a moment, "Alright, let him contact me."
"Okay, the place is busy now. I don't know where he went. As soon as I find him, I'll have him contact you immediately."
"Um." Bloodrose hung up.
Adrian was sweating all over, "Sir, do you think this is okay?"
Derek ignored him and looked at Alvin, "How is it going?"
"Got it, the address is at the Hillsea Gardens, Seaside Road, West City."
"Move immediately! Remember, do not alarm the prey."
Derek's gaze fell on Black Fox, "In three minutes, you call him to keep him on the line."
Rolf was ready for action, "The helicopter is ready. We'll reach Seaside Road within five minutes."
