MONICA’S POV.
He stared at me unwilling to talk and I raised a brow. I had expected him to be that way. They were always that way whenever I asked them to do stuff that was a little too hard.
“Come on sit. I hate staring up at you. You’re too tall.” I told him, pushing a low stool towards him, and he cast a wary eye at it before turning to look at me.
“Miss Monica, I…”
“Oh, just shut the hell up and sit. Do you really have to make me angry before you do what I want? Sit. I can’t talk to you while you’re standing.” I snapped, sitting in front of him on a higher chair, and he looked at it once more like he was about to be hung on gallows. “Sit!” I said strongly, giving the stool a little push with my foot and he finally sat. “Now we can talk.” I said, and stared at him intently.
He pursed his lips slightly before releasing it and looking away.
“I have to know where he’s coming from. Tell me. Where the hell is he coming from? I promise your identity will not be revealed so please let’s not waste our time.” I said, running a hand through my hair in frustration.
I was going to make sure I moved to whatever Lucien stayed. If possible, I was going to buy his neighbors’ house and give them a whole lot of money. Lucien was mine and I couldn’t let him leave just like that. No,he was too precious for that.
“Are you not going to talk!?” I asked in frustration, stomping my foot heavily on the floor.
“Miss Monica. This is not just anyone we’re talking about. This is Alpha Lucien. If he finds out about this then I’m done for. No one will be able to save me from his wrath.” He told me with a pleading look in his eyes.
“And who will save you from mine?”
“Ma’am?”
“Who will save you from my wrath? Can’t you speak?”
“Ma’am, you have to…”
“No one will save you from my wrath but I can save you from Lucien’s wrath. You see, he’s going to get married to me.” I informed him, twirling my hair around my finger and he unknowingly gave me a look that suggested I was being ridiculous.
Anger flashed through me like a bolt and I began to take off my clothes, tugging off my top and tossing it on the floor recklessly.
“Miss Monica!” He called in shock getting to his feet.
“Run. I will scream the moment you move a muscle and in minutes, you will become a psycho who raped his Alpha’s daughter every night.” I promised, proceeding to tear off my brassiere.
“New Orleans!” He shouted, holding out his hand and looking away immediately. I was pleased but at the same time displeased.
I was pleased because he had said what I wanted to hear, but displeased because he hadn’t bothered to sneak a peek at my young, smooth and rich cleavages.
“Hmm. What did you just say?” I asked with a smile as I stopped in my process of throwing away my brassiere.
“Please, dress up and I’ll repeat myself.” He told me, still refusing to look at me.
“Are you ordering me?” I asked, folding my arms and raising a brow.
“I would never do that miss. Please just…it’s… it’s inappropriate to be half-dressed like…”
“I’m in my room. You don’t intend on telling me what and what not to do in my room, right?” I asked, getting to my feet and walking towards him. He moved away, but I stopped him by appearing in front of him, and holding his arm.
He threw his face away once more and moved backwards causing my hands to fall off his arm.
“New Orleans. He comes from there, but I do not know where in New Orleans.” He said, blinking hard. I could smell his fear. If anyone were to knock, he knew I wouldn’t bother dressing up, and would tell them to come in.
“Thanks for such useful information. You have been helpful. You may leave.” I informed him, and he bowed before walking out of my room hurriedly.
“New Orleans.” I muttered to myself, twirling a handful of my hair between my fingers. “New Orleans.” I repeated once more with a smile before strutting to my wardrobe and pulling out a large luggage bag, and stuffing it with my clothes. I knew I couldn’t take them all because they were too much and it was such a hard decision deciding between clothes but in the end, I chose the clothes that mattered most.
I also packed some things like makeup kits, creams and all my cosmetics, shoes, bags… It was so hard to get everything ready, and it took me hours to get set on everything.
“Miss Monica!” My maid shrieked when she came in and saw I had filled up three traveling bags with things from my room.
“What?” I grunted, sitting on a luggage back and trying my best to zip it up.
“What’s all this?” She asked, coming closer.
“Can’t you see? I’m packing.” I forced out as my hair swung back and forth in my attempts to close the luggage bag full of my things.
“You’re going with Alpha Lucien?” She asked with wide eyes as she surveyed my room in a new light.
“Why? Gonna miss me?” I asked, finally zipping up the damn bag. I took in a deep breath as my face went all shiny with sweat.
“That’s a very good idea.” We heard as my door flew open. It was my mum, and she came in with a smile as she surveyed my room. “We’re thinking along the same lines. Here…” she said, handing me some papers.
“What’s this?”
“Of course, an application for college. Don’t you think you’ll need to apply for the college he teaches at?” She asked and my eyes widened.
The papers were gold
