Alpha's Little Miracle

Chapter 55

Ch. 55 / 127 Aug 27, 2025

ADRIA’S POV

My lids opened slowly as I heard Stacy’s words. They sounded really honest and I didn’t look the guilt I felt in me. Was she about to ask me to choose? I couldn’t leave Monica because she had no one and had stood up for me twice already just in the few days which we had started talking to each other, and I couldn’t leave Stacy because we were friends who were meant to be since the beginning of the earth.

She looked down at me with such sincerity in her eyes and also with a troubled expression in those beautiful eyes of hers. I always hated it when Stacy was worried because she was seldom worrried. She was always like a ray of sunshine for everyone and seeing that sunshine suddenly hidden behind dark clouds was troubling for anyone who knew her.

“Maybe if you got to know her—” I started, but she shook her head.

“It’s just something about my intuition. I just don’t like her—everything about her, and it’s not jealousy too. I just don’t feel good about her.” She said looking off in the distance with a blank look on her face.

I heaved a sigh and she heard it then looked down at me.

“I’m serious. She’s just not like us. She dresses way too extravagantly and just gives off a totally different vibe from us, and I don’t know why I feel like her attitude is totally wrong too.” She added, looking down at me and I sighed once more.

“Just until she has friends. I’ll stop walking with her just until she has friends. I’ll introduce her to people. I’ll make sure she has someone before leaving her. You know it’ll make me feel guilty if I just left her friendless.” I pleaded, schooling my expression to something cute and she giggled.

“You’re always cute when you think you’re cute.” She said, and I laughed but stopped abruptly.

“What does that mean?” I asked, and she cackled in laughter while I reached for her cheeks to pull them.

After classes, I went home with Stacy and the boys and they had lunch at my house before leaving for their respective houses.

“Take a look at them. They wouldn’t even help me wash up the plates but they eat like it is their house.” I grumbled as I packed the dirty dishes my friends had used to eat and my mum who was dusting a shelf, smiled.

“You are teenagers after all.” She replied and I rolled my eyes because I was the one suffering.

“It’s actually nothing. I’ll just go to Stacy’s house, eat all I can and then leave the rest for her to wash. Sounds fair, right?” I remarked with a nasty smile and my mum shook her head.

“You’re naughty.’ She commented and I giggled. “Oh, that reminds me. Who was that disappearing friend who left in a hurry when she saw me?” She asked me, as she dropped the napkin she was using to clean.

“Oh, that’s Monica. I met her recently.” I answered as I rinsed the plates I had washed.

“Monica.” My mum repeated, calling the name softly.

“She’s shy and emotional but then Stacy doesn’t like her. I don’t know what to do, and I’m currently Monica’s only friend so it’s kind of hard to leave her.” I explained to my mother and she plopped down on the sofa.

“Then introduce the both of them, create an opportunity for them to talk or do stuff together.” She suggested, but I shook my head.

“I thought about that but Stacy says something about her is not right and that she doesn’t have anything in common with us. She also said it’s her intuition. She doesn’t like her.” I explained and she sighed. “But it’s fine. I already suggested that I’d leave Monica only when I found her new friends.” I added as I wiped my wet hands on my clothes, moving towards the stairs.

“That’s not too fair.” My mother said immediately.

“What can I say? We are teenagers after all.” I replied, bounding up the stairs to get ready to meet Lucien.

I looked at my wardrobe wondering which cloth was going to be best to wear to see him. I knew the last time we had talked, it had been about Monica and I couldn’t really say it had been good.

So I picked a blue denim jumper and black short-sleeved T-shirt, with a pair of white sneakers and stared at myself in the mirror for a long while.

When I was done debating if I looked pretty enough or not, I packed my books into my bag and started my journey to Lucien’s house.

When I got there, I stared back at Monica’s house to see if she’d come out but she didn’t and as I pressed the doorbell, I wondered once more if it was true that a lot of girls visited Lucien at his home.

Lucien opened the door and his rigid expression broadened into a smile the minute he saw me.

“Can I come in?” I asked, and he stepped back for me to step in. I did and he closed the door.

“I wasn’t expecting you at all today. What a pleasant surprise.” He said, and I grinned. I liked that it was a pleasant surprise.

“I’ve been lagging behind on history.” I said, dropping down on his sofa and opening my books.

Then he came and sat next to me, staring at me.

“Why are you staring at me?” I asked, still staring at my books, and then I turned to him, he was still staring.

“You look beautiful.” He said, softy and I smiled.

“Do you want to kiss me?” I asked, and he nodded.

That was naughty but at that moment, if was what I wanted.

His lips found mine and he kissed me desperately like he had been waiting for it. Well it was the same for me. Ever since he got back from where he had gone to, I had wanted to feel his hands on my body once more.

And it was about to happen.
