ADRIA’S POV
Why were they all boys? I couldn’t see a single female there. Were the only females there? Monica strutted confidently across the cubicles searching for the seat we had been given and I watched as the boys all stared at her.
“Here.” She said, turning to me with a smile as she pointed out our cubicle with a smile.
“Oh.” I let out softly and received my share of stares from the boys seated in the cubicles.
We walked in and sat, and I dropped my books on the table.
Monica brought out pens, highlighters and lots of snacks.
“You can’t eat in a library.” I told her immediately, bringing my voice to a whisper.
“Come on. I’m not a kid. I won’t drop crumbs.” She said with a charming smile.
“Why are there only boys? Is it a male library or what?” I asked, still in that low tone and she smiled.
“I also don’t know. I think this room was just given out. The rooms are locked until they are needed.” She explained, flipping open her textbook but I didn’t understand what she said nor did I understand what that had to do with boys alone being in the room.
She pushed some snacks my way and they looked attractive but I couldn’t help but wonder how I was going to open them up without them making a noise.
“The librarian would…” I was saying but she suddenly took a bag of chips out of the snacks she had given me and placed her fingers on the top part ripping it slowly like she was ripping paper. It came apart slowly and soundlessly and she smirked when she saw my awestruck expression.
“I can’t read without chewing on something.” She told me, as she took another bag of chips and tore it open soundlessly.
I looked around at the guys once more and two of them suddenly stood and came to sit with us. Come to think of it, we had gotten seats for four people when there were seats for two people.
“Sorry, who are you?” Monica asked, pushing a chip into her mouth.
“Don’t tell me you guys came alone.” One of the guys said. He was really handsome and seemed to be around my age. The other was also quite the handsome type. They both looked like they were born and bred in riches.
“We did.” Monica replied curtly.
“Do you not know or you pretend not to know?” The second asked, placing his elbow on the table and resting his chin on his palm.
“Not know what?” I asked, and the both of them looked at each other.
“This place is a library but also a blind date spot. We meet dates over studying also with the intentions of being in a relationship.” The first one explained and when I looked around again, I saw a few girls who had just arrived and a few were still coming in dressed to perfection.
“We’ve all come with the intention of finding a partner to date while pretending to want to study and some couples come here to hang out. It’s quite an impressive place.” The second one added, and I looked at Monica who also looked shocked.
“Or… are you guys homosexual?” The first one asked with shock in his eyes.
“No.” I and Monica replied immediately.
“Then let’s join you. Maybe we might leave here as couples.” The second replied, staring at me.
I lost my interest in studying there immediately. I had a boyfriend and one that beat them all when it came to handsomeness and money, why would I settle for less?
“I’m so sorry, Monica. I’ll have to leave. I forgot Stacy asked to meet up today. I just remembered now. So, I’ll… I’ll have to leave you to it. Have fun.” I said, getting up and packing my books into my bag.
“Wait. Adria…” Monica called but I didn’t wait, I made my way out of the cubicle and waved her goodbye before walking out of the room briskly. I know she had paid for me but money definitely wasn’t a problem for her and if it was then I could just pay her back. Sitting with handsome guys and talking with thoughts of a relationship seemed like the kind of thing that would make me look guilty whenever I stared at Lucien, and I wouldn’t be able to ask him not to meet pretty girls because I’d feel like an hypocrite.
It was better to leave.

MONICA’S POV
I waited in front of Adria’s class the next day. My second plan had flunked. At my house I had decided to defame Lucien and had posted that post on the site so I could conveniently lie to Lucien, and then I had taken her to that library on purpose with the hopes that if she saw younger and handsome guys, she would wonder why she was with Lucien who had a lot on her in terms of age, but she had left immediately without even giving it a chance.
Then the door opened and the Professor that had been teaching the class walked out. I stepped aside for him and then other students came out in their numbers.
I went in and saw Adria leaving her seat.
“Hey.” I called, walking to her and she looked up.
“Hey, Monica. Look, I’m really sorry for yesterday. I really hope you weren’t annoyed.” She apologized, looking at me with those large eyes I found annoying because they were pretty.
“It’s totally fine.”
It wasn’t!
“One of the guys asked to see you. He really likes you. He wants to be friends if possible.” I piped up as we left her class.
“Um, I’m not too sure about that. I’m too busy to be meeting guys.”
“One of them said he liked me too. Can you take a picture of me?” I asked, handing her my phone, and she gladly took it.
I had to think of other ways to get in between she and Lucien, and first I needed her phone.
We went outside the building and she took a picture of me.
“This isn’t so good. How about I take a selfie with your phone? Your camera might be better.” I suggested and she dipped her hands into her pockets bringing it out.
I took it and pretended to take photos while I was actually browsing her contacts. While she stared at things around her, I typed in Lucien’s name and saw something shocking. She had saved his number twice.
One was as Professor Lucien and the other was Adria’s Alpha.
She couldn’t probably know, could she?
That Lucien was an Alpha.
