ADRIA'S POV.
A foolish smile spread on my face and my lashes swept low to the floor. He took a few steps closer and pulled my hand towards him, then he went back to leaning on his desk and had me in front of him.
"We should lock the door." I told him blushing and unable to meet his eyes, and he chuckled.
"Did you forget all your novels about wolves? Anyone's footsteps coming too close would be heard by me." He reminded me coolly, and I blushed hard.
Why was I blushing so much? Why couldn't my lips keep to themselves? Why did they have to keep embarrassing me by spreading and spreading, going wider than they could?
Honestly, I felt pretty much like jelly at that moment. I wanted to just collapse into his arms. My tummy roamed with sweet butterflies, and my heart was floating into space.
"Where do you wish to go? Is there a place you've always had in mind?" He asked, staring at me and I bit my lip trying to think of a lovely place I had always wished to go with a lover.
"Well, I've always wished to eat dinner together, and probably go somewhere close to water. Maybe a dinner close to water, and uh… uh, maybe… a movie?" I suggested as those were the only ideas that came to mind. Actually, whenever I thought about it, I always had lots of ideas I had wanted to try out with my partners, but now that the time came, I was speechless.
"We'll see a movie first, and then uh… how about having dinner on a cruise?" He asked, and I looked up at him for the first time since I entered his office.
"I would love that. That is an absolutely beautiful idea. How could you manage to think of it when I couldn't? I would love to go on a cruise with you after we've watched a particularly romantic movie." I told him, as I held his hands firmly in mine.
"Alright, I'm glad that random idea was a blockbuster for you. So, what date do you want to fix it to?" He asked, and I scoffed.
"What date? Today! We're going on our date today." I told him hastily, and he laughed.
"After classes?"
"Yeah, I'll run from my friends if I have to." I said, and he burst into laughter.
"You'd run from your friends?"
"I was supposed to visit you in your office but they followed me all around thinking I'm still too sick to go around on my own."
"You're lucky to have friends like that."
"I know I am, but they don't know I need to meet my lover so it's quite frustrating." I said in a tiny voice, and he cracked up. "I still find it hard to believe I am in a relationship with the most handsome professor in college. It's a mystery as to how I snagged his attention." I told him, and he leaned in and kissed me.
I let him kiss me as I also wanted his kiss. If only we were somewhere a little private, I would have loved to go a little farther than we were supposed to go.
Just when I was leaning in for more of the kiss, he let me go, and I looked at him quizzically. Why did he suddenly decide to let go?
"I'm trying to bid you farewell for now. Let's not go too far." He said, and I furrowed my brows.
"Farewell?"
"Someone's coming." He answered, and I looked at the door.
"Oh." I let out, and we disengaged from each other. He went to sit, and started packing some textbooks which was really funny considering how well we were acting. Seconds later, a knock sounded on the door.
"Come in." Lucien said curtly, concentrating hard on the textbooks. The door opened and a female professor came in with her heels clacking on the floor repeatedly.
"I see you're busy." She said, looking at me even though she was referring to Lucien.
"Not so busy as not to know what you're here for." He said, finally handing the textbook over to me, and a wide grin broke on my face. She could never really imagine the handsome professor who looked so serious at the moment was actually kissing the college students who kept blushing like a broken machine that couldn't control its smile.
"Thank you, Professor." I said, and left his office.
When I was out of his office, I actually giggled to myself, and began to hum a melodious tune to myself as I began to imagine how our date would go, and what it would feel like.
"Adria!" I heard, and looked ahead of me. There were my bodyguards waiting, and the thought of them being bodyguards made me giggle. Stacy had been the one who called so I ran to her and linked my textbook free arm with hers.
"What did he tell you?" Daniel asked, looking at the books, and I took out my hand from Stacie's, and immediately put the book into my bag so they wouldn't see they were meaningless books.
"He asked about my health, and gave me a few references to the lessons he's been teaching." I lied easily, and blushed when I recalled what actually happened after he had actually asked after my health.
"Aww. He's such a sweet professor, isn't he? He cares about the student he's tutoring." Stacie commented, making us linking arms again.
"I guess." I said, and Tommy flicked my head with his finger. "What?" I asked in alarm.
"Don't go falling. You look like you're head over heels in love with the professor." He replied, and I stared at him for seconds before bursting into laughter. Was it that obvious that I liked the professor? He wasn't suspecting me of liking the professor, right?
"You need glasses." I snapped at him and started walking briskly with Stacy on my arm.
"You're so suspicious if you walk out like that, Adria." Tommy called after us and immediately ran.
"Why are we running? We should walk." Daniel grunted, but was forced to jog so he could catch up with us.
~
That evening, I changed my clothes so many times, trying to see which would be better. At first, I dressed like I was going to a wedding party, and then second, I looked like I was going to a funeral party. The next one was too casual, the next was too extravagant, and then, my whole wardrobe seemed like trash.
"I need new clothes!" I groaned, as I fell to the ground.
Finally I settled with a short blazer dress, and damn, I looked hot in it. I walked out the house, and almost screamed when I saw he was already waiting.
"Why didn't you let me know you were waiting?" I asked, going to him, and he smiled.
"I knew you were probably in a dilemma about which clothes to pick so I had to wait patiently." He told me and I blushed red. He had read me like a book. "You look absolutely beautiful." He added, as his eyes roamed over the dress, and I went pink.
He wasn't looking bad himself. Infact, he didn't look like a teacher. He wore a beautiful woollen sweatshirt that made him look like the cute little boy everyone was willing to touch, hug and cuddle, and his shorts brought out the beauty of his strong legs. He was handsome.
Dressed as a lecturer, he killed it, dressed as a random guy, he still killed it. What look couldn't he kill?
Then I looked up at him, and blushed again.
"Are you done checking me out? If you are, then let's go." He told me, and I laughed out loud.
"I'll just do the rest while we're on the way." I replied, and he also laughed.
In the car, I and Lucien talked about every single car that rode past and tried to guess which of them could be disguising as vampires. We were goofing around like children but it was fun.
Love makes people act like kids.
Finally, we got to the theatre, purchased our tickets, and got our snacks.
"Can't wait!" I squealed in excitement as we made our way towards the cold theatre. I could see the envious looks of girls I had never seen before directed at me, but I consoled myself rather happily that it was the price of having such a handsome man as a relationship partner.
In minutes, we were seated at the theatre waiting for the movie to commence as the theatre filled up, and when it started, I and Lucien laughed so much that my popcorn fell to the ground.
I wanted to let out a whine but I was still too busy laughing. Due to that, Lucien let me share his popcorn and every single time our hands touched, it felt like a high electricity voltage racing through me.
It was the first time I had seen Lucien laugh so hard, and he had been so adorable when his eyes watered with tears due to laughing.
Finally, we walked out of the theatre with tears in our eyes, still laughing over some of the events that had happened when I stopped him. My heart almost shot out of my chest as I pointed out the professor who had walked in earlier that day at school.
My head whipped around, but there was not a single hiding place.
Not a single one.
