WHO YOU BELONG TO
Kai stood up and smiled at my members. I could almost see the three girls’ eyes glisten at the sight of him. “How are you here?” he asked casually like nothing is happening before they came in.
The girls’ cheeks blushed as they heard Kai’s voice while the boys just smiled at him.
“We’re good, Mr. Bennett.” It was John who answered Kai’s question. I have a feeling that he’s the only one who could talk right now. “Miss Eunique delegates the works well.” He chuckled.
Kai smiled and looked at me. I tried hard not to look away because I know that it would just attract questions and attention. “Only the best for the company,” he said and chuckled as well. He turned to me again before smiling at them. “By the way, I just came by to tell your head about some important matters. I’ll leave you now.” He smiled. “Have a good day.” He looked at me before walking through the door.
My members all bowed.
“Have a good day as well, Mr. Bennett,” Karen shyly said before Kai opened the door. He nodded.
Just as the door shut, I heard heavy breaths from my members. The girls were screaming with eyes wide open while the boys seemed to have lost their energies.
“I thought we’re dead!” Jason almost trembled before falling onto his seat.
“Me too! Why is the CEO here by the way? He never comes inside offices,” Charles asked with shock still evident in his face.
John was holding onto his chest. “Not unless he’s going to fire someone!” he exclaimed.
I looked at them, curious and confused of what they’re talking about. “Is he a snob?” I asked them and they all looked at me, shocked of what I just blurted.
Karen shook her head at me. “Miss Eunique, the CEO never comes to the office just to make sure everything’s right. One thing is for sure, when he comes to the office, it’s a serious issue!”
I stared at them. I hope they’re not thinking about anything. Kai is still connected to Rachel Grey. He still is in a relationship with him. And I don’t want to be involved with him when he’s still tied.
I tried to change the topic and it worked. They all resumed to their designated works as I did mine, too.
Not long after, my phone vibrated.

I hope I still have my chance.
My heart fell when I read the message. I don’t know if it was right that I asked him to break up with his girlfriend. Now, I’ve realized that if he really wanted to be with me, he’s going to break up with her even without me saying. If he really wanted to be with me, he would do things to have me or to make me stay. I didn’t have to do something for him. I respect whatever decision he might make.

Please stop texting me using the company phone number.
If anything, I don’t want to be involved in any anomaly in this company. Although it would help me get out of here really fast, I didn’t want anything to end dirty.
It was just seconds when I received a message from an unknown number.
Save this number then.
I sighed and shook my head but I saved his personal number. I didn’t have to reply or text him because I know that he will be the one doing those things.
And I was right. It’s been a week since he’s been texting me using his personal number. He texts me every morning, every eating time and every night. It was his routine.

Are you going to the resort tonight?
I narrowed my eyes at his message. I have received a message from Ashley that they would go and relax tonight at the resort owned by Byron Trent. Of course it’s expected that Martin, Byron and Kris will be there.
I took a deep breath and shook my head but still didn’t reply. I’m thinking of killing Kris the moment I see him later. I bet on my whole life that he’s the one who told Kai about it!
I didn’t reply on Kai’s text and just worked on to finish my work earlier.
“I’ll be out early today,” I informed my members. “You can put the finished products on my desk. I’ll review it on Monday. For some, you can email it to me.” I smiled as I picked up my bag.
“Take care, Miss Eunique!” Jason beamed.
I smiled and nodded before heading out. “You all take care when going home,” I told them and they beamed at me.
I walked to the parking lot and went straight to my car. I was about to turn on the engine when my phone rang. It’s Ashley.
“Hey! Where are you?” Her voice was so cheerful.
“Where are we meeting? I’m already in my car,” I responded as I turned on my Bluetooth. “I’m coming.”
I can hear Kris’ voice in the background. “We’re already here!” She beamed. “You’re the only one missing. Come here quickly.”
I rolled my eyes. “It’s a forty-five minute drive, Ashley. Wait for me,” I replied.
“We’re already swimming!” she beamed and screamed joyfully. “Damn it, Kris! Don’t splash water on me!”
I just shook my head. “Never mind. I’ll be there,” I said before hanging up.
The drive to the resort wasn’t forty-five minutes because the highway was clear. I arrived at Byron’s resort in thirty minutes, maximum.
A man from the valet assisted me in parking my car while a receptionist assisted me in finding my room. I noticed a lot of people in the resort right now probably because it’s Friday afternoon and it’s going to be weekends again.
“Here’s your room, Ma’am,” Hani, the receptionist, stopped in front of a wooden door. “Mr. Trent and your friends are in the pool area.” She smiled and bowed before leaving me.
I keyed my card in and changed into a two-piece bikini. I bet the girls, except Janice because of her conservative boyfriend, are wearing two-piece bikinis as well. I wore a translucent green oversized chiffon polo on top of my bikini.
After tying my hair in a messy bun, I decided to go and find my friends in the pool area.
And it was hard. With all these people in the pool area, I couldn’t find my friends. I roamed my eyes around the pool area. If I was right, Ashley and Kris could be there. I heard her squealing over the phone. But they weren’t there.
“Looking for someone?”
I always jumped when I heard a man’s voice from behind. I looked at him and almost had my jaw dropped to the ground. The man’s topless with a tanned body and his six-packed abs. His muscles flexed the moment he moved his arms to rake his fingers through his hair.
Oh, holy heavens!
I stopped staring when I saw him smirk. “Are you done checking me out?” he asked in a very confident voice.
I rolled my eyes. I regret checking this jerk out earlier!
“You can still stare, you know! But in return, I want to stare, too!” he laughed before winking at me seductively.
I shook my head and turned to leave but before I could even walk, I felt him take a grip on my wrist. “Wait!” he said as he pulled me in front of him again. “What’s your name?”
I scoffed at him. “No one,” I replied and he laughed.
“Oh, cut it, gorgeous! I know those lines. You just want me to go crazy for you,” he almost scoffed and I couldn’t help but drop my jaw with his remark. What an overconfident, narcissistic jerk!
“I’m not—”
“Hands off, dude.”
My world stopped when I heard Kai’s voice. I slowly looked behind me and saw the Kaisser Bennett standing there with his board shorts and perfect six-packs. But above all, what is he doing here? Is he really following me?
He stared at me from head to toe before clenching his jaw. He let out a violent sigh before looking at this narcissistic boy. “I said, hands off.” He’s gritting his teeth as he uttered those words.
That was the only time that this jerk let go of my wrist. Kai immediately pulled me to his side. His warm hand traveled to the small of my back and I couldn’t help but get my heart beat faster once more.
Kai glared at the jerk before holding my wrist and pulling me over somewhere.
“Kai! Where are we going?!” I protested and tried to yank off my hand from him. “Damn! Let go of me!” I whined.
He gave me a quick glance before looking straight ahead again.
My eyes widened when I saw where we’re going. “Are we going back to my room?” I asked.
“Our room,” he said as if correcting me.
“What?!” I asked when he was opening the door with a card as well. Shit! This is not happening! “Why do you have a card?!” I hollered as he pulled me inside the room and locked it.
He stared at me with intense and tantalizing eyes as he trapped me between his arms and the wall. It’s like I’m hypnotized. I don’t know what to do. It was like I was under a spell.
“Don’t make me jealous, Eunique,” he uttered in a warning tone as he leaned in closer to my ear. “Every time you make me jealous, you make me want to own you and keep you locked up in a room with me.”
His soft voice sent shivers to my spine. I can feel the hair on my back stand up, not because of the coldness of the wall but because of his words.
He kissed my ear softly and I can’t help but close my eyes at the mere contact of his lips on my skin. “Now, let me show you who you belong to.”
