To Make You Come Back To Me

Chapter 32

Ch. 32 / 37 Aug 19, 2022

KAISSER

“What the hell did you do there?” I wanted to punch Juneau when I heard from Eunique that he went there saying that he’s her boyfriend.

Juneau’s eyes narrowed at me. “Chill, dude! I didn’t say I am the boyfriend,” he replied. “I just went there for a visit!” He defended himself.

I wanted to punch him. Really! “Why would you want to visit her, then?” my blood is boiling.

Juneau smiled menacingly. “I like her.” He replied and that earned him a hard punch. I don’t care if he’s my half-brother. When it comes to Eunique, I don’t care about anyone.

“What the fuck?” he cursed as he touched the spot that I punched. His lip is bleeding but the hell I care. He likes my girl and I don’t like it! “What’s your problem, Kai?! You’re getting married to Rachel Grey! Let Eunique go!”

I gritted my teeth and pointed at him, mad, raging and unstoppable. “I am not going to marry anyone if it’s not Eunique. I’d rather die a priest!” I shouted.

“What’s happening?!” Mom and Dad came rushing from the second floor. Their eyes widened when they saw blood on Juneau’s lips.

“Kai! What are you doing?!” Mom looked at me in horror. “Why are you mad? Why are you fighting?” She’s starting to get hysterical.

I overlooked Mom and glared at Juneau. “Get the fuck out of my girl’s life or you’ll see!” I warned him.

Mom looked at me confused. “What are you talking about? What girl? Rachel?” she asked.

I can feel my chest rising up and down heavily but I won’t stop. I won’t stop until Juneau’s finally understood that Eunique’s mine.

“Stop it! Rachel said you’d get married. On national TV! Stop getting so jealous of your half-brother!” Mom still doesn’t get anything.

I looked at her. “Mom, I’m not marrying Rachel,” I told her and she narrowed her eyes at me. “I’m marrying Eunique James.”

Mom and Dad’s eyes widened. “What? But Rachel Grey—”

“Cut it, Mom! Disown me if you want but I’m not marrying Rachel Grey. Not even in hell!” I yelled as I took my keys and went to see my girl.

If killing wasn’t a crime, I would’ve killed all those men who looked at my girl. Damn! I’m this possessive, alright! I’m this possessive because I’m afraid that she’d leave me again. I’m this possessive because I don’t want her to hurt.

That’s why I almost snapped and hurt her sister when she slapped her hard. I couldn’t see her hurt, not by me nor anyone else. She’s my woman and I’ll take care of her to the best of my ability.

“Eunique!” I called out when I saw that she passed out behind me. I shook her and tried to wake her up but she was really unconscious. I looked up and saw Eujean’s terrified look as she watched her sister lying on the floor, unconscious.

As much as I wanted to shout at her, I kept myself focused on Eunique.

“Call an ambulance!” Mr. James ordered Eurick who immediately responded.

I hugged Eunique and prayed that she’ll be alright. She’s probably stressed out because of everything that’s happening right now. First, Rachel Grey then her mother, and now, this issue.

When the ambulance arrived, I took my phone out and called Serena.

“Please arrange a press conference for me now. Call me when everything’s ready,” I ordered her before getting in the ambulance to accompany Eunique.

I’m going crazy! I can’t bear to lose her. I can’t bear to see her weak like this. I could give her all the strength in the world. I could give her everything she needs.

Mr. James was pacing back and forth as we waited for Eunique’s doctor. Eujean was crying while Eurick was hugging her. She’s guilty, I can see. But that doesn’t change the fact that I hate her. When Eunique wakes up, I don’t want her anywhere near her sister. I’d take her away if I have to. I’d take her away from everyone who could harm her.

Minutes later, the doctor came out.

“What happened to my daughter?” Mr. James was the first who approached her.

The doctor smiled at us. “The patient’s fine now. She just needed more rest because she’s in her first trimester. Her body’s still adjusting to the changes that could happen for the next nine months,” she explained.

My world stopped but I noticed Mr. James and Eunique’s siblings looked at me. I’m in deep shock. Eunique’s…

“Congratulations! Miss Eunique’s two weeks pregnant!”

I literally dropped on the floor as I heard the news. Happiness, shock and excitement rushed over me simultaneously at the very moment. I’m having my first-born. I’m having my first born with Eunique!

“Are you alright?” Eurick asked me as I was smiling on the floor. Damn it! I’ve never been this happy! I’m too happy that I can even feel tears forming in my eyes.

I’m going to be a father!

“Congratulations!” The doctor smiled at me but I couldn’t respond properly. I’m in utter shock. My system just couldn’t process that thought. “You can see the patient now…” She bowed before leaving.

Mr. James looked at me and smiled. “Please take care of my first-born,” he told me as he tapped my shoulder before walking to Eunique’s room. Eurick smiled at me and nodded as he followed his dad.

Eujean, on the other hand, was looking down while fiddling with her fingers. I still couldn’t forgive her for hurting Eunique a while ago. But if this hadn’t happened, would I have known that I’m going to be a father? Should I be thankful to her for causing too much drama?

“I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t know that—”

“It’s okay,” I cut her. “Thanks to you, I’ve known that I’m going to be a father.”

I can see tears brimming in her eyes. “Congratulations,” she uttered as she bit back the tears.

I nodded and smiled weakly. “I need to see your sister,” I told her and she nodded.

When I entered the room, Eunique was still sleeping. An IV line was inserted on her right hand. I walked to her and kissed her forehead. We’re going to be parents soon. I’ve never been this happy for the both of us. I’ve never been this happy in my entire life.

I thought having her back would give me extreme happiness but no. This news just broke every record and every foundation that happiness gave me. I’m beyond elated.

I held onto her hand and kissed it so softly because I didn’t want to wake her up. She needs to rest while I need to fix everything.

Serena texted me that everything’s ready so I told Mr. James that I needed to go ahead. When he asked where I was going, I just told them to turn the TV on.

Today, I’m going to speak up. For me. For Eunique. For our child.

There are a lot of people in front of Nildex building. Cameras flashed as they saw me walking towards them. Mom and Dad are waiting for me, confused about what this press conference is about.

Serena bowed at me but I continued to walk into the podium.

The flashes of the camera are blinding me but nothing is going to stop me right now. I am doing this for Eunique. Yes, I could do anything for her.

“I called you all out here to clear things between me and Eunique James,” I started that earned huge reaction from the crowd.

“It’s true. I am in a relationship with her. I am in a relationship with her because she’s the love of my life.”

I heard murmurs around me. “Four years ago, she broke my heart when she left me to study abroad.” My heart hurt at all the memories I had four years back.

I heard my Mom gasp but I ignored it. “She broke me to pieces that I told myself to never give my all when loving someone. I’ve never wanted to hurt the same way she did to me.”

I smiled bitterly. I could still remember everything clearly—all the pain, all the tears. “I promised myself to make her suffer—to make her feel all the hell that I’ve been through—when she comes back. But I couldn’t do so…” I trailed, biting back the tears that are about to come on.

“…because the moment I saw her again, for the first time after four years, all the anger, all the hatred, all the plans for revenge were all washed away. Because I love her. I still love her despite leaving me miserable for years.”

“But what about Rachel Grey?” one reporter asked.

I smiled. “Miss Rachel Grey is a good person. She helped me get through the pain. I like her. But not as much as I love Eunique,” I replied and stared at each and every one in front of me. “Eunique’s the only woman capable of making me feel this way. She’s the only woman I would love like this.”

“So, all those things that Rachel Grey said about your wedding are false?”

I nodded and kept a straight face. “It was the original plan. Before Eunique was back in the picture,” I replied.

I took a deep breath. “I know I’ve hurt her because of my love for Eunique. I know I’ve actually hurt a lot because of my love for Eunique but what can I do? I can’t stop myself. I love her. Completely and deeply.”

Another round of murmurs was heard on the crowd.

“Do you have any words for Miss Rachel Grey?”

I bit my lip. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for not being the man for you. You’re a good woman, I know because I once spent most of my time with you. I hope you find the man who would love you more than you love yourself.” I smiled weakly. I know words couldn’t fix the pain Rachel might be feeling right now but it will heal…in time.

“Do you have any words for Eunique James?”

My heart leaped with joy the moment I think of starting a message for the love of my life. I faced the camera and smiled. “I don’t know if you’re watching right now but I want you to know that I love you so much. I know I’ve told you this a lot of times but I won’t ever get tired repeating it over and over again until you finally stick it to your head. I want you to take care of yourself especially now that we’re about to have our first-born. I promise to love our child as much as I love you. I can’t wait to build a family with you, my love.”

Just as I finished the speech, the crowd opened revealing Eunique in hospital gown, looking at me with a smiling face. I walked towards her and hugged her to the best of my ability. I wanted to scold her for coming here instead of resting in the hospital but I couldn’t. Tears are clouding my vision and are clogging my windpipe.

“I love you,” she whispered to me. “I love you so much.” She sobbed on my neck.

I smiled and caressed her back, not minding all those cameras recording us. I looked at her and planted a kiss on her lips before kneeling down. “I was planning on doing this tonight but since you’re here, I don’t have any choice,” I told her as she looked back at me in shock and in disbelief.

“Will you marry me?” I asked.

Her eyes widened as she saw e pull out a ring in my pocket. She placed both of her palms on her mouth, flabbergasted.

I smiled and showed her the ring I had customized for her. “May I have your hand, honey?” I asked her and she slowly gave me left hand. “Will you marry me?” I asked again.

Tears went down her cheeks as she nodded at me.

“Yes.”

One word and I felt so complete. I immediately slipped the ring on her finger and pulled her for a deep kiss. I could care less about these people watching.

I cupped her cheek while my other hand flew behind her neck to pull her face closer to me. I kissed her like I own her lips. I kissed her with full authority and she wasn’t complaining. If anything, she was gladly responding and it’s making me crazier.

“Dude! You’re on national TV! We don’t want a live show!” I heard Paulo scream from the side and Miguel’s chuckle right after.

Eunique stopped kissing and bit her lip, slightly pulling away from me.

Damn these fuckers!

Eunique smiled and hugged me tight. “Thank you.” She muttered.

I hugged her back and kissed the top of her head. “No, thank you.” I whispered to her and kissed her earlobe softly. “You made me alive again. Thank you for loving me once again.”

I connected our foreheads and I saw her smiling. “I’ve never stopped loving you,” she replied tenderly.

I smiled. “Me, too, I have always loved you,” I replied and kissed her once again. I don’t care about the whole United Kingdom watching. I’m lucky I have this girl with me now.
