KAISSER
Rachel was fun to be with. She had so many stories about the countries she’s been to and the people she meet on her getaways. She even opened up on the type of men she dated.
She was comfortable to be with and to be honest, I like that about her.
“Hey, are you out?” I asked her during the call.
We have been seeing each other for a few weeks now and so far, I am loving the experience. I feel like I am starting again and that is what I need now.
Even Kris is happy that I am opening to someone again. He must have been tired of bailing me out of a bar stupid drunk.
Rachel giggled from the other line. “Yes,” she replied. “I am out with my friends. We’re in Redendz…” she said and as if on cue, I heard a loud blast of music.
“Do you wanna come here?” she asked.
I looked at the files I have to finish for a moment before nodding. It’s impossible to finish all these tonight anyway. I’ll just read through them tomorrow.
“I’ll be there in a few…” I told her before ending the call.
I drove to the bar in no time. I immediately saw her and her friends in one of the far-end couches and walked to her.
She saw me and waved her hand enthusiastically with a smile. She said something to her friends that made them all look at me.
“Come and sit here!” she beamed as she moved a little for me sit beside her.
I sat on the space given to me and draped my arm around her shoulders. I can hear her friends cooing at my sudden move.
Rachel looked at me, shocked at what I just did. “This is an improvement, Mr. Bennett.” She chuckled.
I smirked and leaned in to kiss her cheek. I positioned my lips on her ear. “Are you happy though, Miss Grey?” I whispered huskily.
Rachel narrowed her eyes at me before smiling sheepishly. I chuckled and took a bottle of beer on the bucket to drink.
“Don’t drink a lot,” she reminded me.
“I’m just having a bottle,” I replied.
I need to end this dry spell tonight. I need to end my misery tonight.
Rachel and her friends interacted while I sat beside her, playing with her hair and listening to them gushing about someone in the modeling industry.
After weeks of knowing her, I learned that she’s a model and that’s why she travels a lot for her photoshoots. She’s good in business but she wanted to become a model even when she was still a kid that’s why she’s more serious with her modeling career than her business side.
I held her waist and pulled her close to my body. She looked at me with a smile from the stories of her friends. “Are you bored?” she asked.
I leaned my chin on her shoulder and nodded. “Can we go out and eat?” I asked.
She chuckled and nodded. “Okay…we can go to my place?” she said suggestively.
I raised my brow. I only want us out of here but to be at her place would also be a good idea.
“Sure,” I whispered as I slightly bit her earlobe.
Right, Kaisser. This is the right thing to do. Go and have fun. You deserve to have fun.
Rachel giggled before telling her friends that we have to go. At first, I thought they wouldn’t let her because I was used to my girlfriend’s friends like that but Rachel’s friends are also different. They are not as strict as…Ashley Grant.
I sighed and shook my head mentally. I should remove those thoughts from my mind. I should start thinking of happy thoughts and new beginnings…because that is what I need now.
Rachel’s place is not that far from the bar. She lives in an exclusive residential building in downtown London and I am not even surprised. I mean, Raymond Grey wouldn’t let his daughter live in a lower class building, right?
She laced our fingers while we were inside the lift. She’s smiling widely as we entered her pad.
I looked around and it’s neat. There are not also a lot of appliances and I actually have an idea why she doesn’t have a lot inside her place yet.
“What do you want to eat?” she asked me as she leaned on the kitchen counter.
I smirked at her before stepping closer. She chuckled softly as I held her by the waist and pulled her body against mine. I leaned down and saw her biting her lower lip.
“I am not really hungry…I only want this…” I said softly before crashing my lips down to hers, giving her a passionate and searing kiss.
She moaned instantly as she welcomed my tongue inside her mouth.
I shut my eyes and shook all the thoughts inside my head.
I am holding Rachel Grey. Rachel Grey and not someone else…
“Hmm…” Rachel hummed through the kiss as I carried her and made her sit on the counter top.
Her fingers are busy combing my hair while her legs are wrapped around my waist.
“Shit…” I muttered as I felt her unbuttoning my shirt in haste. “Rachel…”
I held her hands while my kisses went to her neck but she just moaned and shook her head.
“Let’s do it…I wanna do it…” she mumbled in a needy voice and that was the only time that I let loose once more after a long time.

“Who are you with?” Kris asked me as I invited him and his girl, Ashley, in the restaurant. “And what’s the occasion?” he asked me.
I shook my head. It’s almost four years since my wasted nights and now is the only time that I am bringing Rachel with me to meet up with Kris and his girl.
“I have my girlfriend. She’s on her way…” I told them happily.
Ashley’s brow rose. “Girlfriend?”
I nodded. “Yeah, we’ve been together for over a year now…”
Kris’ eyes widened. “Over a year and you haven’t shown her to us? That’s pure betrayal dude!” he beamed at me.
I shrugged. “She’s travelling a lot because of her shoots so I didn’t have a time to introduce her to you,” I explained even though I don’t even know why I needed to do so.
I am single and I am not offending anyone.
Kris turned to Ashley like they sort of had a secret conversation right in front of me. I saw Kris sigh while Ashley shook her head.
“She’s late,” Ashley said but I can feel like it has meaning.
I narrowed my eyes at her. “My girlfriend?” I asked before looking at my watch. “We’re just early.”
Rachel is never late to appointments and that’s what I really like about her. Even though she is busy, she never arrives late.
Ashley smiled smugly before shrugging. She never spoke a word but then when her phone that’s on top of the table rang and I saw a familiar name flashing on her screen, I already know.
I clenched my fists under the table.
No, Kaisser. Get a hold of yourself. You’re happy now with Rachel. Don’t go astray once more.
Ashley looked at me and smiled. “I’ll just take this call from my friend,” she said before standing up to step away for the call.
Kris looked at me before sighing. He leaned back on his seat and tilted his head to the right as he stared at me. “I’m happy you have a girlfriend now. The dry spell has ended…” he started.
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Is Ashley in contact with…Eunique?” I asked. I can almost feel the pain coming back in my chest as I mentioned that name.
Fucking shit! I have not come this far just to crumble this easy! But damn it! Everything about her just makes my whole system go haywire.
Kris pursed his lips in a thin line before sighing hard. He looked to where his girlfriend is at before leaning on the table. “She’s coming back…” he said softly.
I narrowed my eyes as I felt my heart dropping to the ground.
“Once her contract ends, she’s going home…” he expanded. “We all thought you…”
I raised my brow. “Haven’t moved on yet?” I asked as I crossed my arms against my chest.
Kris sighed and leaned back once more. “Well, you never said anything about moving on…”
I frowned at him. “Why would I even announce to the whole world that I have moved on? Asshole!”
He sneered at me. “Why is the blame on me? I am not doing anything. I don’t even contact Eunique. I let the girls handle their problems. And besides, Eunique surely must have found her own American guy for all we know…” He shrugged as he looked to where Ashley is again.
Whipped.
But his words definitely lingered inside my head that I couldn’t even focus on Rachel when she came. Ashley was slightly ignoring her because she was quiet the whole dinner. It was only Kris and Rachel who were talking shits about me.
I was preoccupied even after the dinner. The words She’s and coming and back kept repeating inside my head. It’s like a broken vinyl record. It keeps on playing and playing the same words.
“Are you okay?” Rachel asked me while we’re in bed. Her arms are on my chest as she lifted her gaze at me.
I smiled and nodded. “Yes, I’m fine…” I told her as I kissed the top of her head.
Rachel bit her lip and looked at me worriedly. “You were different tonight…”
I smiled at her. “I’m fine, baby. What do you want? Another round?” I teased and she hit my chest lightly.
“You perv!” she chuckled. “I have an early shoot tomorrow!”
I looked at the clock and saw that it’s almost two in the morning. “Oh…we did it longer tonight…” I told her.
She narrowed her eyes at me.
I grinned. “Maybe we can do a quickie?” I wriggled by brow and she just laughed.
I let my night be happy because in the morning, I received a message from Kris that she has arrived and my whole world become messy once again.
