The Billionaire's Toy

chapter Sixty-three

Ch. 63 / 99 Dec 27, 2025

Tears kept spilling from my eyes making Vixen look at me with a confused expression.

She hovered like she was deciding whether to comfort me or keep her distance, I wasn't sure.

"You don't have to be scared, I am here." she patted my back.

I looked at her with the same expression she had on before, pure confusion.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

Vixen shrugged, "Well, you have been standing here staring at the building so I assumed you are too afraid to face Killian."

Laughter escaped me, I covered my mouth with my hand and tried to clamp it down but it was out.

"What's funny?" she asked.

"The fact that you think that's what I am afraid of. I am simply reliving memories from the last time I was here."

"Oh,"

It dawned on her that the main reason I was so reluctant to get into the house, I hadn't come back and it pained me to see the house I was happy even for a short time sitting there and rotting.

"Come on," I motioned to her.

I entered the villa and paused by the entrance, a car was parked at the far end of the house.

The side that led to the basement.

I squinted my eyes but it wasn't a familiar car Hope blossomed in my chest as the thoughts returned once again.

Was he back?

I entered the house with haste, going straight to the bedroom to see for myself.

It was empty.

I leaned against the doorframe and sighed sadly.

What was I thinking?

He wasn't back yet.

I closed my eyes, his scent still lingered in the room and I found myself craving it. I took a deep breath and allowed the fragrance to fill my senses once again.

All the time we had sex in here looked like a treasure I would like to cherish, the laughter, the jokes, and hell, even the punishments.

I missed it.

I wanted it back, I wanted him back.

You never know the value of what you have till you lose it, that phrase has never made sense till now.

I stared at the bed, the image of us cuddling after a long day played out for me.

We had a long day at work and when I came home, I expected him to dish out punishments and growl throughout the night.

He asked me about my day and rubbed my shoulders while I talked. We looked every bit like a normal couple.

We showered together and he washed my hair gently, placed a kiss on my shoulder, and cuddled me till I fell asleep.

I fell in love again that day.

My smile grew as more pictures played out for me, it was like a movie except I was starring in it.

My phone jolted me back to the present when it rang, I sighed and picked it up. It was Diane.

"Hey,"

"Hey, called to check on you."

I chuckled slightly because I could understand her concerns.

"Diane, I am five. Zack was right, Vixen is a good person."

"I bet she is."

"We went shopping, and then she wanted to accompany me to break things off with Killian."

"Are you with her?" she asked.

I nodded before I remembered she couldn't see me.

"Yes, I am with her. What's going on?" I asked.

"Nothing, don't let me stop you. Enjoy."

"Diane, wait. You don't sound fine. Tell me."

"I didn't want to bother you about this because you have been having a hard time lately but I don't know what else to do anymore or who else to talk to."

"Diane, slow down and tell me what's wrong."

There was a pause.

"Zack is missing."

"What do you mean Zack is missing? He left with you."

I heard her sigh over the phone. I walked out of the room to meet Vixen who had already made herself comfortable in the living room.

"No, he left to get the car around for me but I didn't see him again."

"Have you tried calling him?"

"Gee, I wonder why I didn't think of that."

I sighed.

"Sorry, I am a little stressed. I called his phone several times but it's not available."

Her voice sounded like she had been crying and trying hard not to burst into tears now.

"Diane, listen to me. Calm down, I will try his line again and I will come meet you."

"Okay, I am sorry for cutting your day short. I will make it up to you."

"Diane?"

"Shut up."

I hung up and stared at Vixen who looked at me curiously.

"This place is nice. Not many masters buy houses for their slaves," she said.

I sighed, well mine was a romantic murderer.

"I mean, they can buy you a house but you have to be extremely obedient but from what you have told me, you haven't been." she mused.

I rolled my eyes at her observation.

"We need to go," I said.

"Why? Have you lost the courage?" she asked with a smirk.

"No, nothing like that."

Vixen moved closer to me, worry painted on her face. "Then what is it?"

"My friend is missing."

"The girl?"

"No, the man. She said she cannot get a hold of him after yesterday."

"Well, that's strange."

"What is?" I asked.

"If it happened at the club then we can find out who it is, we have CCTV all over the place."

"That's right, let's go over there. We can do this another time."

"Sure."

Vixen grabbed her purse and followed me out, I took out my phone and dialed Zack's number again just to be sure.

I paused.

"Vixen, do you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

We both paused to listen and my eyes widened when I heard it. A phone was ringing.

"It's coming from the basement." Vixen pointed out.

I nodded.

The question was why is a phone ringing from the basement?
