Victoria stood above me blocking the way. The only thing keeping me from pushing her out the way was Zira nagging in my ear.
Nina, what the hell? Give me my body back Zira screamed.
This girl is so clueless, sometimes. It was becoming a habit and getting on my last nerves. She never listens to me and makes plans without considering the fact that I have a voice too. We are more than just wolf and human, we are connected with one soul. She doesn’t understand that whatever happens to her affects me too.

I didn’t want to say it again. I wanted her to come to the realization herself. Maybe then she will understand the severity of the situation. I knew we were with a pup a week ago. I felt tired all of sudden and there was a presence that I couldn’t figure out.

I didn’t have time to be nice to her anymore. These humans need to be reminded that these consequences affect both of us. We feel all that they feel. They act as if we’re completely void of any emotions apart from theirs.
It's true I have my own opinions and my own body, but every tear that falls from her eyes is as if I was crying too. Every time her heart breaks I feel mine do the same. Well that was it. I was tired of feeling sorry for myself and letting other people push me around, especially this idiotic Luna. Just the thought of her made my fur stand up.
“Get out of my way,” Nina growled at Victoria. I saw Victoria take one step up but held her ground.
“Think about what you want to do, Nina,” Victoria started, “Do you really think it’s a good idea to attack the new Luna? The Alpha will kill anyone who thinks about hurting her.”
She’s right, Nina. We can’t do anything rash. Especially if we...we’re...Zira hesitated to say it.
I scoffed at her. She’s such a child but they were making a good point. If I maimed that stupid Luna now, we could be executed. Unless the Alpha knows we’re pregnant with his child, then he might just put us in the dungeon until we have the baby then execute us. So either way we die.
Fine. Only because our options are limited and that stupid Luna isn’t worth our life.
“What’s going on here,” the Alpha spoke as we all turned our attention towards him walking through the door.
Right when I thought I was calm, my anger took over once again. There he was standing there, looking like a lost sheep. Not knowing he’s the reason behind Zira’s misery these past few weeks. Now with this pup, we’re going to be bound to him regardless.
Our mate will never want us now I said, forgetting Zira could hear and feel everything right now.

Lucky for the rest of them, it was enough to calm me. If she still has hope then fine. I will be strong for the both of us. I just hope our mate comes sooner rather than later. I’m not sure how long I can hold out with these people.
