The Alpha's Triangle

Chapter 51 Isaiah

Ch. 51 / 200 Jun 24, 2025

My morning started off great like every morning. I woke up with my mate, my Luna, in my arms. I took this moment to breathe in her scent loving the way it filled my lungs sending tingles down my body. I plant kisses down her body until I successfully wake her up. Then we proceed to make love. Every time I tried to see her eyes, see who I was with but every time she had them closed. Devon said I shouldn’t worry but a part of me does.

If Alaia doesn’t want to be with me that way, I would like to know. So I can fix it, if I can fix it. After, we hit the showers and repeated our love making just the same, and just the same her eyes are closed. I have to figure out a way to bring this up without angering her. That was the last thing I wanted to do.

On her quest to get more acquainted with my pack, Alaia insisted that she meet every member. With the help of Isabella and Victoria, she was doing just that. At the training ground, I saw Zira hanging back while I commanded the warriors during training. Her hair was pulled into a fluffy ponytail and she was wearing the necklace. My necklace. I wanted to panic but I didn’t. Maybe Alaia wouldn’t notice or hopefully forgot it was mine.

Seeing Zira now, brought back all the memories of the past few weeks. I need to find the right moment to talk to her and completely clear the air. We were friends before things got complicated and I missed that. I missed her. After joining Isabella, Victoria, and my cute jealous mate, I watched Zira use this opportunity to get what she wanted. This girl is so determined to leave.

Honestly I didn’t think it was a good time for her to leave. She was a target of a gang of rogues and we still don’t know why. Also she’s not the best warrior out there. How could she protect herself out there? I’m holding back to protect her. Why can’t she see that? I watched her speak with Isabella and Alaia, and I noticed how flushed she looked. I saw the concern on Isabella’s face and tried to check on Zira, but Alaia squeezed my hand and growled.

She’s just a friend, Alaia, and she doesn't look well.

Sorry she linked me. “Sorry. It’s just a reflex.”

A moment later I hear Isabella scream Zira’s name as I watch her fall flat to the ground. It was a momentary shock before I picked her up from the ground. I ignored the growling from Alaia as I carefully looked over Zira’s face. She was out cold and there was bleeding on the side of her head.

“I’m taking her to the pack’s hospital. Alert her parents,” I commanded, leaving before anyone said anything.

Zira felt so light in my arms despite her warrior’s physique. She was going in and out, whispering she’s sorry. Sorry for what? I don’t know but I didn’t like what I was seeing. At that moment, her body began to shake as I burst through the doors and screamed for a doctor. Dr. Callie appeared and directed me to a room. I laid Zira onto a bed and moved out the way as nurses rushed in.

“What’s wrong with her,” I asked anybody who was listening.

“Don’t worry Alpha. We’ll take care of it. I think she might be having a panic attack, so please just give us some room,” Dr. Callie suggested as she led me out the room.

I stood there looking through the glass window as the nurses hooked Zira up to a bunch of machines. I stood there feeling useless. Isabella touched my arm, breaking me out of my trance.

“Hey, it’s gonna be okay. I’ll wait for her parents. You might need to go talk to Alaia. She was upset when you left.”

I nodded, “I know. I can feel her. Let me know if anything happens to Zira.”

Isabella gave my hand a squeeze and nodded. I ran out the door straight to the pack house. I used her scent to find Alaia in our room. She was standing on the balcony gripping the edge. I could feel her anger, so I quickly moved to her but she stopped me halfway there. She turned towards me with rage in her eyes.

"You left me," she growled. "Again, for another girl, Isaiah."

"I know and..." She raised her hand and walked by me.

"You know my history with men and you left. I felt...I felt so betrayed." She hugged herself and I quickly hugged her from behind.

"I am so sorry, Alaia. I never want to hurt you. EVER. I love you, I do. You have to believe that," I said, planting kisses down her neck. Through the bond I can feel her ease into my affection. She turned and placed her hands on my face, sending sparks through my body.

“I do. I can feel it. It’s amazing how much you care for your people, Isaiah. I'm just not used to having to share you with so many. Especially ex-lovers." I was about to say something but she placed a finger on my lips which I instinctively kissed. "I only hope to be just as great as Luna.”

“And you will. Everyone knows you’re the only one for me when we completed the mating ceremony and I placed my mark right here,” I said, kissing her mark as she pulled me in closer.

“Maybe you can remind me of how that went,” she said, pulling me to the bed, with a wicked grin.
