The Alpha's Triangle

Chapter 52 Zira

Ch. 52 / 200 Jun 24, 2025

There was a beeping sound in the back of my mind. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I started to panic realizing I was in a room in the pack hospital.

Shit! This is bad I thought to myself as I tried to get up and failed. I had a small headache coming from a bruise on my forehead.

This is what happens when you don’t listen to me Nina growled.

I wanted to yell at her but my mom busted through the doors followed by my dad and Dr. Callie. Isabella was outside looking through the window. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled nervously. Oh Goddess, what did she say? Do they know? My father looked at me with a bit of sorrow in his eyes while my mom’s face was twisted up, arms crossed, and tapping her foot. Needless to say she was furious. Fuck. They know. They have to know now. How do I play this?

“Glad you’re awake, Zira.” Dr. Callie looked at the bandage on my head. “You seem to be a fast healer. Faster than normal. How are you feeling?”.

“Fine, Doctor Callie. Just a bit tired I guess. Is everything okay,” I asked, looking from my parents to the doctor. Ignorance it is, then.

You are ridiculous Nina said.

Shut up while I figure this out.

How about the truth? Just rip off the bandage Nina suggested.

“Yes dear. Everything is great. For now we need to put your training on hold,” Dr. Callie started.

“Wait, why? What’s going on,” I directed to all of them.

Good job, Zira. Playing the fool seems to always work.

“I’ll leave you with your parents but you are free to go.” With that Dr. Callie left the room leaving with my fuming mother.

“Let’s go,” my mother said, leaving the room with haste.

We drove in silence. My parents avoid eye contact, not only with me, but with each other. I was getting nervous for the fact that this whole thing probably had them at each other’s throat. They knew, they had to know. I grabbed Isabella’s hand but I couldn’t look at her. I felt the emotions and if she said one word I was going to bawl. Holding her hand though was nice and made me less anxious. It wasn’t until we passed our house that I broke the silence.

“Wait, where are we going,” I asked, but no one responded. A few moments later we parked in front of the pack house. Oh shit! Oh shit!

Still think playing the fool is going to work Nina asked.

You're not very helpful right now Nina.

I swear I can feel my heart beating inside me like I’m in a drum. Not long after we were gathered in the Alpha’s office. My mother and father were behind me, Isabella, Isaiah, Alpha and Luna sitting opposite. We all stood there, no one saying a word. I looked at Isaiah who had the same worried, but confused look on his face.

“So is anyone going to tell me why we’re here,” Isaiah commanded.

Everyone looked around at each other until Isabella stepped forward.

“Fine, I’ll say it. Zira’s pregnant and I told her parents the morning after the party I saw her running from your room. There! I’ve said all I know.” she stepped back into the corner.

So, smart girl, how are we playing this now Nina asked with amusement in her voice.

She could be a real bitch sometimes. I sat there with a shocked expression as the room erupted into a million questions. How did this happen? Didn’t we teach you about protection? Are you sure the results are accurate? How far along is she? Are you sure it’s Isaiah’s? All those questions came from our parents but I wasn’t listening. I knew this was coming anyway. I just thought I had time to make it come out my way. I guess life just fucks you up the ass at every possible moment.

Is it true? Are you really pregnant? Isaiah linked me, breaking me out of my trance.

I breathed out not realizing I was holding my breath. I looked at his shocked expression as my eyes filled with tears. I felt tears falling down my face. At that moment I couldn’t help but sob. All these emotions came flowing out of my mouth. Everyone was silent. Only the noise from my cries were heard.

“Everyone out. Please. I want to speak to Zira alone,” Isaiah yelled over my cries, but no one moved. “OUT NOW!” He commanded.

Reluctantly everyone walked out the room leaving us alone. I tried my best to control my sobs and tears but to no avail. It wasn’t until I felt Isaiah arms around me, pulling me into the tightest hug ever, that my cries slowly subsided. I've forgotten how warm his embrace was. It was nice and familiar, and I didn't want it to end.

It was short-lived though. In an instant we heard the loudest growl rumble through the house. It must have been Alaia. Being mated, she can feel everything from her mate, whether it's emotional or physical, and wolves can be very possessive. I used my strength to push Isaiah away right before the door to his office swung open revealing a very pissed off Alaia. She looked between the both of us and her brown eyes landed on me. Her wolf was at the surface, as I saw her nails elongating.

“Mine,” she growled, stepping closer to me.

I quickly bared my neck showing I was being submissive. Isaiah grabbed Alaia and pulled her towards him. When a wolf is angry the touch of a mate can help calm them down almost instantly.

“Alaia, sweetie. It’s fine. It was only a hug to comfort a friend. That’s all,” Isaiah said, lifting her chin and planting a kiss on her lips. Alaia, visibly calmed down and whispered sorry. “Now before I tell you the next part, I want you to know how much I love you. The moment you entered my life you’ve changed it for the better.”

He said all this rubbing Alaia’s arms, keeping her attention on him. I can't believe he was going to tell her right now. I can’t be here. I just can’t. Hell I haven’t gripped the whole idea either. I was about to leave when I saw my papers on his desk. I saw he was occupied with Alaia, so I quickly grabbed them, not checking if they were signed, and left the room.

I walked past Isabella, her parents, and my parents who were standing in the hallway. They were all trying to say something but I ignored it. I just needed a moment to myself. A moment away from all this mess. The goddess must be laughing her ass off right now. The joke's on her though because at this moment I’ve made up my mind. There’s no way I was letting this ruin my plans. I have to find a way to leave. No matter what my parents or anyone says I can’t...

A roar interrupted my thought. I heard Isaiah yell Alaia’s name as I turned just in time to see her lunge for me. I felt her nails dig into my skin as we went tumbling down the stairs. We both hit the next landing hard as my head rocked back into the wall. I started to see stars as I tried to get up but Alaia was on me in a second trying to wrap her claws around my neck.

“You whore,” she spat at me.

Luckily with training I was able to pry her claws off but damn she was strong. Anger is a powerful drug.

“Alaia, please,” I begged. I could easily take her down but my strength was failing due to my dizziness.

Her eyes, which were blue now, held so much rage I was surprised her wolf wasn’t on the surface like before. Her claws almost reached my throat again when I felt her being pulled away. I was happy and once again met my old friend, black spots, before passing out. I hope this doesn't become a thing.
