The Alpha's Triangle

Chapter 46 Omega Mary

Ch. 46 / 200 Jun 24, 2025

It’s amazing how much information you can get a hold of when you’re quiet. People like me tend to blend into the background. I bet if I really wanted, I could become a great spy one day. Spy Omega Mary. No, just Spy Mary. I like it. Maybe in another lifetime. Right now I’m content with doing a great job at providing great service. I know if I bid my time I’ll be appreciated for everything little thing I do. I smiled at that thought as I cleared away some of the dirty dishes.

I was thankful Alpha Zack brought some of his attendants to help with the party. It would have taken us all night to keep up with the guests' commands. We had guests from four different packs here to celebrate our new Luna. So with the help we had everything cleared with enough time for me to wander around the party.

I didn’t want to hang with the other Omegas. All they do is gossip and talk about the other guests. Especially Omega Lisa. She was the worst of the worst. Always trying to climb above her station and putting down everyone she thought was beneath her, which to her was everyone. If there were any vicious rumors going around it's no doubt her doing. She would do anything to make herself look innocent. All the other Omegas crowded around her like she was the queen. Maybe because she got a lot of attention from those around her including members of higher rank. Some were hoping they would find their mates but I could care less. I didn’t need a mate to complete me. I live a quiet, safe life and that’s all I care about. Give me a good book and a corner and I would be happy for the rest of my life.

I watched as Luna Bella tried to maim Alpha Jack with plates and cups. My guess is a little too much whiskey in her tea and an altercation with Miss Isabella. That usually gets her hitting the bottle hard. I wish she would just let Miss Isabella do what she wants. It’s how we learn to grow. I, on the other hand, appreciated the old Alpha and Luna. I was orphaned when my parents went on a hike and never came back. Alpha Jack sent some men to search for them but all that was left were torn bloody clothes and a locket with my picture in it. So they let me stay in the packhouse. My room isn’t the biggest but it’s comfy.

Alpha Isaiah to the rescue as he tries to get her mother to calm down. I could see why the girls are always on him. There was something about his demeanor that makes you feel warm inside. Like reading a good mystery and the characters are about to get a good clue. I don’t know if I could watch him all day but he’s good for a glance or two.

Doing my thinking I almost ran into our new Luna. I quickly moved out of the way. I don’t even think she knows I was there. As she walked by I noticed a napkin in her hand with...blood on it. I wondered if she was hurt. This isn’t the first time I came in contact with her blood. Just the other day when Isaiah gave me a box to throw away, I noticed the scent of her blood. I opened the box to investigate and there on the choker was a little bit of Alaia’s blood. I did wonder why a present for Zira had Alaia’s blood, but it didn’t matter. I reminded myself not bother with things above my station.

After thoroughly cleaning the choker, I wrapped it and placed it back into the box. My plan was to give it to Zira when I saw her next. I like Zira. She jokes a lot with everyone and she’s so bubbly and strong. I think if I wanted we could be best friends. I smiled at the thought. I really wish she could be our Luna. I knew they were destined way before watching her run down the stairs the day after the party, smelling like him. I knew exactly what happened that day. It was laundry day and it was my shift. There’s a lot you can tell about other people’s sheets. Like Hunter is the biggest whore in the pack house with his sheets smelling like a different she-wolf almost every other day. Jace and his mate don’t sleep in the same bed since their sheets only have one of their scents on it. Maybe it’s some sort of an arrangement. Weird.

Anyway back to Zira and Isaiah. Seeing them together always made me feel good about the world. So when Isaiah gave me her present to “get rid of”, I knew exactly what he wanted me to do. That’s why returning her present to her felt like the right thing to do. Maybe that’s why Alaia looked irritated. She probably saw Zira’s choker and realized Isaiah didn’t get rid of it like she hoped. I should have thought of that. I watched Alaia walk over to Ashlee. I see her hide the napkin behind the chair as she whispers something. Ashlee immediately became angry and headed straight for Zira. I watched as Alaia had this evil grin spread across her face. It was scary to see someone so pretty look so evil. Whatever she did to Ashlee had her attacking Zira. I felt bad but what could I do? I’m just an Omega.

After helping with the cleanup from Luna Bella tirade and Ashlee’s attack, I made my way to the kitchens to start with the cleanup early. I was really missing my books. On the way I heard Hunter and Ashlee arguing in the halls. I usually walk away but I figured if I’m quiet I could just walk by without them noticing. The hallways here are definitely wide enough and I am Spy Mary after all. I held my head down and took slow steps as I got near them

“Ashlee, what is wrong with you? You can’t go attacking every girl I talk to,” Hunter said.

His back was towards me as I quietly took steps to get by. So far so good I thought as I crossed them. Neither of them made any notion to acknowledge me so I kept going.

“I told you. I don’t know why I did that. One minute I was talking to Mia the next I was throwing a drink in Zira’s face. I couldn’t control myself, Hunty.”

She must have done or said something else. The next thing I heard was a low rumble, maybe a growl from Hunter before he said.

“I hate that you know exactly what to do. You’re such a tease.”

I quietly turned the corner before they did or said anything else that could make a gagged. I heard a few giggles then some low moaning. So glad tomorrow isn’t laundry for me. After cleaning a bulk of the dishes, I figured I did enough work for the night. I was looking forward to cozying up in bed with a good book. On my way to the Omegas quarters on the other side of the courtyard, I saw Luna Alaia barged through the double doors and basically pushed Zira out the way. This girl can’t seem to catch a break today.

I stayed in my corner as I watched them converse amongst themselves. No one seemed to notice I was there and so much information was flowing through the air. Although I’m not one for parties, this one seems to have been very informative. Maybe I should write a book about it.
