"I told you." Bella said when she walked closer. "You thought you played the game well. Who is celebrating now and who is regretting? I'm sure you didn't see this coming."
"You thought you could walk away with everything my son worked for, didn’t you?" Mrs. Elizabeth’s voice rang out sharply, her words cutting through the thick air like a blade. She fixed her cold gaze on Daniella, who stood with her hands clenched into fists. "You thought you could manipulate my son and take his properties and company. But look at you now. You are going with nothing. Nothing but a trash of your useless self."
"Very useless thing. And she wasn't even as smart as I thought. Imagine signing a paper without knowing what it means." She leered at Daniella. "You think you can play games, but look at you now. A dumb person is even better than you. Even a ten-year-old is smarter than you will ever be. Someone like you can sign her death without knowing." She added, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "What surprised me is that you didn’t just want the money and the cars. You also wanted the company, the properties, the whole empire. What did you think you were going to do with all that? You went to inspect a company as if you can even take care of it if it's handed to you."
"She wanted to enrich herself and this leech of a boyfriend?" The mom threw her own words.
Leonard flinched at Mrs. Elizabeth's words but didn’t respond. His face was pale, his lips pressed tightly together as Bella’s glare shifted toward him.
"Oh, you think you are off the hook?" Bella asked mockingly. "Sitting there like a statue, waiting for your thief of a girlfriend to hand you everything on a silver platter. You are lazy—a pathetic excuse for a man, clinging to her evil schemes because you couldn’t build a future of your own."
Leonard looked at Bella, but he couldn't say anything. "What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue? Or are you just realizing how foolish and useless you are?"
"Enough!" Desmond interjected. "That’s enough, Bella. Mom, please stop. Let’s just go."
Mrs. Elizabeth shook her head emphatically. "No, Desmond," she said. "Let us finish dealing with her. This devil had the audacity to try to take everything you worked for, and she has to hear the truth!"
"Which truth?" Daniella suddenly spoke up. "There is nothing truthful in whatsoever you guys are saying because it’s not over yet. You think this is the end, but I will fight. I’ll get what I deserve. This isn’t over." Daniella declared, and Bella couldn't help but let out a short, mocking laugh.
"Oh, please," she said, shaking her head. "You can't fight us, Daniella. We are rich, and you are still poor. We have the upper hand in everything. You will be dead if you ever cross our paths again. Trust me, Daniella. You don’t have what it takes to fight us. You have lost. Accept it."
Mrs. Elizabeth stepped closer to Daniella. "You are leaving here with nothing, and you should be thankful about it. And... don’t even think about stepping foot near Desmond’s company, unless you want to beg for a cleaning job."
"You can insult me all you want," Daniella shot back. "But this is not yet over. You’ll see."
"We are waiting for you," Bella said simply. "Come back with whatever scheme you are plotting. This time, you will be as good as dead."
"Enough!" Desmond interrupted. His voice was louder now, almost commanding. "Let’s go. This is over."
"We are leaving now. And guess what? We are leaving with the car. I know you will be thinking of how to commit suicide. I will advise you to do it fast because you are a waste of space on earth. Dumb useless fool." Bella finished and turned toward the exit with her smirk still intact, and her mom followed. Desmond hesitated briefly, his gaze lingering on Daniella for just a moment before turning and walking away.
Daniella stood rooted to the spot, her mind racing as the echoes of their words filled her ears. She had lost everything, but in her heart, she wasn’t ready to let go without a fight. As She clenched her fists in anger, all she could think of was revenge. To her, it wasn’t the end. It was only the beginning. She will find her revenge, no matter what it takes.
