"How did you get access to my office?" He asked. "Who let you in?"
The deputy manager suddenly dropped to his knees, his face pale and his voice trembling, seeing that he was in trouble. "I’m so sorry, sir." He pleaded. "She asked me to show her your office, and I refused. She insisted and threatened to fire me if I didn’t take her to the office. I tried to explain, but she wouldn’t listen. Please forgive me. I was just trying to avoid trouble. Please have mercy on me."
Daniella smirked and crossed her arms confidently. "Why are you explaining and begging to him? Don’t bother apologizing," she said, but he kept apologizing.
"Anyway, since you so much adore him, you will be out tomorrow along with him. You will not work with me." She said, and Desmond couldn't believe her confidence.
She turned to Bryan, the chief financial officer. "Back to you. What are you waiting for? I’ve already told you what I need. Give me the five hundred thousand dollars I asked for. Desmond's presence is irrelevant. I says what happens here!"
"You demanded money from him?" Desmond asked with a cold, dangerous voice. At this point, he was losing it.
"That’s right, I demanded money. And once I take over, I’ll make sure changes are made to ensure people follow my orders." She replied, and Desmond’s anger boiled over, and in a flash, he raised his hand and slapped her twice across the face.
The sharp sound of the impact echoed through the room. Daniella staggered slightly, her eyes wide with shock, but her expression quickly morphed into one of fiery rage.
"Did you just slap me?" She asked, and Desmond slapped her harder again. This time, she fell down on the floor. For up to five seconds, she couldn't tell where she was.
"I can kill you here and bury you, and nobody will ask me questions. Do you know who I am? Just because I'm taking everything lightly, you think you can misbehave and go scot-free. How dare you? You come into my company, make demands, threaten my staff, and have the audacity to act as if you already own this place? Enough is enough! Security!!!!" He called, and immediately, two guards arrived.
"Get her out of here. Now." He commanded, and they stepped forward and grabbed Daniella by her arms. She began to struggle violently, kicking her legs and thrashing as they escorted her toward the door.
"You will regret this, Desmond!" Daniella kept screaming. "You think you have won? Just wait until tomorrow. I will deal with you once I take over!"
Her legs flailed in the air as the guards carried her away, her curses and threats echoing down the hallway, drawing the attention of every employee on the floor. Heads turned, and whispers spread like wildfire as workers peeked out from their cubicles and offices to see what was happening.
They were shocked but happy. Some employees exchanged amused glances, their lips curling into subtle smiles as they watched Daniella struggle against the guards. Others whispered to one another.
"Why are they dragging her out? I thought she was here to take over." One of the workers murmured to her colleague.
"I don't know, but I like what is happening. They should take her away.
"Good." another worker added, shaking her head. "She’s been causing chaos since she walked in."
As Daniella was dragged closer to the entrance, the security guard stationed at the main door was surprised. The same guard who had been berated and threatened by Daniella earlier in the morning for not letting her in. Now, seeing her being dragged out, he couldn’t hide his satisfaction.
The guard stepped forward and opened the door wide for them with an exciting smile. "Ah, Mrs. Daniella." He said mockingly. "Leaving so soon? I thought you were here to take over the company. Oh! They are taking you away! It's a pity."
"I’m coming back tomorrow, and you will be the first person I will fire!" She threatened, and the guard chuckled, shaking his head as he held the door open. "I will be waiting for you. But for now, enjoy your exit."
The employees near the entrance couldn’t help but laugh quietly. Daniella’s threats continued as the guards carried her out. The moment she was out of sight, a wave of relief swept through the company. Workers exchanged smiles and even a few high-fives, grateful that the chaos had finally come to an end.
