Pregnant Billionaire Heiress Gave Birth To Twins

Desmond mwt Anabel again

Ch. 195 / 286 Apr 29, 2026

As Desmond eased the Rolls Royce out of the courthouse parking lot, the atmosphere inside the car was heavy with a mix of relief and lingering tension.

His mother was sitting in the passenger seat, as she had her hands folded neatly in her lap. Bella, who was sitting in the backseat, was less restrained. She was still fuming from the encounter with Daniella.

“I can’t believe her nerve.” Bella muttered, breaking the silence. “She thought she could walk in there and walk out with everything. I know she has concluded that in her mind. What a joke.”

Desmond's mother tilted her head slightly and added, “Some people think they can take shortcuts in life, Bella. But as we saw today, justice doesn’t favor schemes and greed. She will regret ever crossing us.”

Desmond glanced in the rearview mirror at Bella. “Can we stop talking about her? Just let it go. It’s over now.” Desmond said, and Bella scoffed and crossed her arms. “I will let it go when I stop thinking about her smug little face. Acting like she owned the world. Acting like we are morons. I wish I’d told her exactly what I thought of her. I had a lot to say to her.”

“We did more than enough, Bella. The look on her face when the judge asked her if she signed the prenuptial agreement. That was worth every word.”

Desmond sighed and tightened his hands slightly on the steering wheel. “Can we just move past this? Daniella is out of our lives now. No need to keep talking about her.”

His mom glanced at him and reluctantly nodded. “You are right, Desmond. But I'm certain she won’t let go easily. We have to be prepared for whatever comes next. I'm sure she will try to fight back.”

As the car turned onto the main busy road, his mother remembered that her drug had finished.

"Son, can you take me to the hospital to get my drug? She asked.

“You mean the one you take every three days?” Desmond asked, and she nodded. “Yes. Would you mind stopping by the hospital to pick it up? I don’t want to miss a dose.”

“Of course." Desmond replied immediately. He changed his route and headed toward the hospital. When they arrived, Desmond parked the car in the hospital’s lot and turned to his mom. “I will go in and get it myself. You two wait here.”

The mom nodded, “That’s fine, dear. Just be quick.”

Bella, who was still stewing over the events at the courthouse, leaned back in her seat and stared out the window without a word. Desmond stepped out of the car, straightening his suit jacket before making his way toward the hospital entrance.

He entered and made his way to his mother's doctor office. As he was walking, he saw someone familiar—a figure he hadn’t expected to encounter, causing his stride to slow.

The person was Anabel. She was stepping out of a ward. Her tummy was bigger than the last time he saw her. Even though she was pregnant, she was still beautiful and attractive.

Desmond’s heart began to race, a wave of emotions washing over him. He was never expecting to see her. The sight of her brought a flood of emotions he wasn’t prepared for. Desmond’s heart raced more as he approached Anabel. He quickened his movement as he called out, "Hi, Anabel." His voice was soft, almost hesitant.

Anabel, however, didn’t even glance in his direction. She kept walking as if she was not hearing her name. She has seen him but chose to ignore him. She doesn't want to talk to him at all. Desmond frowned slightly but didn’t give up.

"Anabel!" He called again, raising his voice a little bit higher to call her attention. "Please, wait."

Still, she didn’t stop. Desmond quickened his pace. As she was about to enter the elevator, he reached out and gently grabbed her arm. The grab was light but firm enough to make her pause. "Anabel, please." He said, almost pleading.

Anabel spun around in anger and yanked her arm away from his grasp. "Don’t touch me!" she snapped. "And stop calling me! What do you want, Desmond?"
