I stood in shock as Jason was done with his words. It actually means he was at the place twenty minutes before my arrival. He was even protecting me by all means while I was out there flinging with Jeremy.
I bit my lip of remorse and took a slurry step backward from him, trying to contain what was happening to me right now.
I thought I heard his voice in Serah's room but here he was making me feel a pang of load of guilt.
But still, I could not fathom how he got to Serah's house that day.
"I saw you at Serah's house, Jason." I moved closer to him, resting my hands on his shoulder.
"You saw me?" He asked, crinkling his nose and jeering awkwardly at me.
I waited a minute and recalled the moment. All I knew was that I got home that day feeling bad and heard Serah screaming his name and saying a lot of negative things about me. I didn't really see him nor hear his voice but I concluded he could be the one since he was not at the love garden. But I also heard a voice like his so what could be happening?
"Huhm.. I didn't see you, Jason but I..." I was blabbering when he crossed his first finger over my lips.
"I later left the love garden that day and I discovered you left for a motel where Jeremy used to fling with young girls. I came there but you were not found. Where were you that day?" Jason asked, his eyes growing wider and bitter.
Tears welled up inside of me. I had mistaken things here. It means something must have happened that day in the Serah's room. I know Serah well for her witty deception but I am so daft to fall into her trap. I had given out my first time to Jeremy that day and I would be so stupid to let him know about it. I never knew he was busy fighting and protecting me when I was having sex with Jeremy.
"I am sorry, Jason. I never knew you were protecting me," I said, looking into his eyes and tears rolling down my cheeks.
"It's fine. Just to be sure you didn't fling around with Jeremy on that day," he said and looked into my eyes that were devouring a pang of lies and pain.
"I didn't fling around with him." I lied in a single tone, trying to hide my face that always revealed the truth.
"So what have you done to the black rogues?" He asked me patiently.
"I didn't do anything, Jason! I never knew about this." I responded to him, clutching at his shirt.
"Then why could they be trailing you?" He asked and was lost in his thoughts for some minute.
The black rogues? It had been a long time since I heard about black rogues. I haven't even set my eyes on any of the members before not to talk of me offending them.
The only matching draw in my head about the black rogues was the
" No worries, Amaya! You will be fine. I just want you to accept me as your mate, then I will protect you"
Jason still saw me as a neutral girl. He did not know I had actually had sex with Jeremy. I see myself as a betrayal even as I had never begun to date Jason because he was protecting me while I was busy having fun with his number one nemesis, Jeremy.
However, I was just about to break the sad news of my suspension at the Howler moon pack for allowing her to fight for me.
"Your dad was here some minutes ago, Jason!" I told him and looked away, rubbing my affected cheek unconsciously.
"My dad? What the hell is he here for?" He asked, his face turning sour that I could feel his inner wolf kicking to strike.
"He suspended me as a member of your pack for a good three months for allowing you to fight the black rogues," I responded to him. He sighed unhappily, swinging his car keys in annoyance: like he was thinking of what to do.
I did not want him to know about this but I had to know that he was asking me to be his Luna. Plus, I had mistakenly had sex with his nemesis. I felt the guilt inside of me that I did not deserve him.
"So where are you going to stay for a period of time? I want to protect you from the black rogues."
"I don't know, Jason, I am confused. Maybe you should just go for Serah" I suggested feeling sad.
"No! I rather go for you or lose my title," he spoke and power radiated his lips.
"What happened to you here?" I asked him, pointing at his swollen cheeks.
"Oh! I had some little quarrels with my father!" He said and looked away.
"Is it because of me?" I asked him.
"Not at all," he responded in a low tone, but I guessed he was only hiding it from me so as not to get hurt. I was sure his father might have gashed his cheek with his wolf strength.
"I will get back to you, Amaya! I have to go now," he said, kissing me on my forehead, and left.
I felt a pang of guilt inside of me. If only he knew I had a one-night stand with Jeremy would he still care about me?
