RIVALS
Jeremy looked behind only to be punched in his face. He fell on the floor and grunted in pain.
The bearer of the voice unmasked his face and Jason's face came into the light.
"Jason?" Jeremy muttered on the floor, his cute face turning ugly as he was summoning his wolf perniciously.
"Let's have our first fight here, Jeremy." Jason dared Jeremy as he stood up angrily.
"No, please, you guys should stop!" I moved to their middle and pleaded with fake tears as they were now transforming aggressively into their wolf. I had to fake these tears, or else it would be beyond my control once they had started fighting. Moreover, experiencing the way they shifted to their wolf got me scared.
My tears seemed to work as they now shifted back to their human form yet their eyes were glaring daggers at each other, breathing profusely.
"Jeremy, you are lucky, today. Next time I see you in my pack I will make sure I break your bones." Jason warned Jeremy sternly.
Jeremy grinned held me by my hand and motioned me toward the door, but Jason stood in the way.
"Jason, as you can see, I am not here to fight you, but you seem to be looking for my troubles. Why are you blocking my way?" Jeremy asked.
"Release Amaya. You can't take her along with you," Jason instructed.
"Amaya is my girlfriend!" Jeremy grinned.
"Never!! She can't be your girlfriend. She is not part of those you screw in the school." Jason blew hot at him.
Jeremy is a Playboy yet no one dare step on his toes. He was very strong and fierce just like Jason. Jeremy would not listen to whatever Jason was saying except when I came in. I gestured at Jeremy, more or less like a plead, and he dropped my hand and moved out of the place, leaving behind a daring look.
Jeremy must leave because I didn't want him to be in the hospital. First of all, he was not in his pack. He was in the Howler Moon pack's hospital so he would be blamed for any damages if any happened and I would be hated the more by both pack members for causing a fight between two incoming Alphas.
"Jason, tell me what's going on. Do you know about my mom's whereabouts?"
"I was planning to help you, Amaya, but you left the school without telling me, only to see you flinging around with Jeremy."
"I am not flinging around with Jeremy!"
"Then what were you doing with that motherfucker?" Jason asked, trying to hide his fierce face, yet it could all be seen in his facial lines that erupted when he wanted to shift a minute ago.
"He just came to check on me, Jason, nothing more," I responded hiding my face.
"Well, I must not see him in my pack again else you will be in perfect trouble."
"I am sorry, Jason."
Jason's face darkened a few minutes ago after I asked if he knew about my mom's whereabouts. There must be something missing somewhere. Jason must have a connection with Aurora. What confidence does a mere pack doctor have to stop an incoming Alpha?
"You can go in and ask Aurora. But I guess that is not wise enough," Jason said and looked away.
Jason was right. Aurora must not know I had a hint about my mom's death. She would ask me who was feeding me that information and I might not be able to figure it out. Aurora was a hell liar. She would lie to me just as she had been doing since my diaper. I needed to gather more information about it. I need Jason to help me out.
"I would like you to help me, Jason," I sighed tiredly and said.
"Sure, I will help. Amaya, I have been helping you since all these days. Do you think that's for free?" Jason asked, pushing his hands into his pocket.
I nodded, thinking what he might be talking about.
"You are a good person, Jason. And you hate bully," I said to him, his eyes wide, and his balls rolling - a sign I took as a no to my answer.
"Amaya," Jason called my name in a very soft tone like never before, like what people call the 'bedroom voice'.
I froze in place under his voice and turned around to meet his charming eyes.
"Do you know I have feelings for you?" Jason asked, my heart thumping to race as he declared, and for a moment I was lost in my thoughts.
Well, I knew from the onset that Jason loved me. I can remember the first day I stepped my legs at Moon College. I still remember how he stared at me the whole day, smiling, and giggling at intervals. If I should judge with love, Jason loved me while Jeremy was after my innocent butt. Jeremy just wanted to fuck me, but only Jason showed love.
Based on choice, I was not attracted to any of them. I just love them both because of how cute and handsome they are which might have been a default to the majority of girls in the school. Plus the fact that they are the hottest boys in the school and also the incoming Alphas of their respective packs.
Moreover, I would not be too forward to respond with what I thought but respond by his actions.
"I don't know, Jason. But you are fated to Serah." I sneaked in, his sad face twinging in disgust at the mention of Serah's name.
"Who cares about Serah? I love you, not Serah," Jason busted, my palm began to itch.
"But my stepmom will kill me if I date you, Jason. Besides, I am a mere human. Who does not fit in as your Luna? Remember, in a few days you will be crowned the Alpha of the Howler Moon pack and you must have gotten your mate." I responded to him.
"Well, I am telling you this because I will choose you as my mate and Luna on my coronation as the Alpha of the Howler Moon pack."
"What? How could that be possible, Jason?" I asked, staring at his mouth maybe he would just tell me it was a prank, but the serious mask he wore on his face made me know how big he meant his words.
Serah had stormed her social media with Jason's forthcoming coronation. She had made it known to the world that she was the upcoming Luna of the Howler Moon pack. I hope Serah had known about what Jason was telling me right now!
"All you need to tell me is a 'yes' or 'no'," Jason asked his eyes blaring for my affection.
I watched Jason and scratched my hair in confusion. Jason has always been here for me in school. He always protected me from my bullies. It would be bad for me to turn down his request.
"Can't you just give me some time to think about it?" I asked in a whisper.
"Alright, I would like to invite you to a mask party today by 6 PM. I would be there, and I would be waiting for you at Love Garden Center."
He waggled his tongue and continued:
"Then I would decide on whether to help you or not."
I nodded, and he walked away from me.
"Aurora would roast you alive if she finds you in her hospital. Just a reminder!" Jason left this in the air as he walked out.
Damn! That's true! I rushed out of the place, taking the other route that led to our school's junction.
