Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 7

Ch. 7 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

HER PAST

Jason's eyes were flickering in thoughts. He seemed to know something about me with the type of questions he asked me. How could he think I had no wolf? I had kept this to myself for a long period, and not my bullies had even made it known to my classmates. All they did was bully me and make me suffer for what offense I did not commit.

"I don't have a wolf!" I pronounced bitterly, my eyes flushing, and I felt a pang of failure inside of me. Jason's face was battered.

"Serah called you a weak vessel yesterday. From there, I have been trying to make some findings about you."

"Are you sure your mother is dead?" Jason asked me, causing me to part my lips with scorn. What type of questions is Jason asking me right now?

"I am sure, Jason," I responded.

"Where was she buried?" Jason asked.

"Aurora showed me the place she was buried at the border of the pack."

"But remember humans are not allowed to be buried in the totem of the werewolves?" Jason asked, my memories flashing lights in reality.

Jason was right about what he just said. I was told my mom was a human and that was why I could not have a wolf, but I never thought of the fact that humans are not allowed to be buried in the totem of wolves. Then where could she be buried?

"Wait a minute!" I pushed Jason away from myself and strode out of the place to the class. I rushed into the classroom and reached over to my bag. I hung it in a jiffy and ran towards the pack's hospital. I was sure Aurora would be there.

After miles of running, I bounced into the hospital, but I stood in a corner to get back my breath as the air had now finished in my lungs. And then, I must not allow this person to know that I am a human. Only a human would breathe relentlessly like this.

After some minutes of gaining back my breath, I walked out of the place I was and moved towards Aurora's office.

"She is nothing to be bothered about, Serah. Amaya is just a waste in our house."

"But Mom, it seems Jason is in love with her."

I froze in place as I heard my name behind Aurora's office. What could she and her daughter, Serah, be talking about? I leaned against the cold wall of the hospital and clasped my ear at it to eavesdrop.

"Jason can't fall in love with her because he knows the consequences."

"Consequences?"

"He would lose his future title if he attempted to fall in love with her."

What? Aurora said Jason would lose his title as the incoming Alpha of the Howler Moon pack if he fell in love with me. What the hell could be happening here? Could this have anything to do with what Jason told me a few minutes ago? I am confused.

I must go in there and ask this wicked stepmom and her daughter where my mom is buried if truly she has died. I would not mind if she took my life, but I would for sure go in there. I flinched forward only to be stopped behind by a huge figure, My mouth was being held closely to his body, and I could not break free no matter how hard I tried.

He began to pull me out of the place I was to a nearby corridor and free me. I adjusted for my stand, and looked up to see Jeremy on a hoodie, hung over his head.

"Shush!' Jeremy crossed one of his fingers over his lips - a sign I took for silence.

"What are you doing here?" I whispered slowly to his ears.

Unlike other pack members, an Alpha was not allowed to come to another pack's hospital for some reasons that were personal to them. I was so surprised he was here.

"I saw you running out of the school premises some minutes ago so I followed you up to this place," Jeremy whispered back at me.

"But I thought you were not coming to school today. You should be at your Coronation meeting." I whispered back at him and gritted.

"I can't do a day without setting my eyes on you," Jeremy said in a romantic tone, his eyes devouring lust. I could not help but smile a bit despite everything that was happening to me.

I walked away from Jeremy and faced Aurora's office when he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me onto himself just the way he did yesterday as if he wanted to kiss me. But I would not dare fall into his trap again.

"Are you walking to Aurora's office?" Jeremy asked, and I dropped immediately. How come this scumbag guy knows? He must be a good spy.

I left his words and continued sneaking up to her office with a bright fear.

"Aurora may kill you someday, Amaya. She hates you so much, especially now that Jason is showing you unnecessary care" Jeremy said as I walked up to her office.

"Kill me?" I asked, pausing a minute before I continued:

"Have you known?" I asked and crinkled my head in perplexity.

"Oh, baby girl, everyone knows that Jason is in love with you. Everybody knows you are a human, and Aurora is not your biological mother," Jeremy said, pressing his lips together.

I smug, feeling a mixed reaction after his words. He sounded funny and made it look like being a human in the midst of those who called themselves stronger vessels was a normal thing. He was not even concerned about it. He was still smiling at me, unlike Jason who wore a bad look when I told him I was a human.

"What's funny about being a human, Jeremy?" I asked him.

"Of course, I love the way you feel weak before me. You will be very sweet in bed. I will love to fuck that innocent butt of yours," Jeremy said, flashing his eyes at my butt.

Oh gosh! This guy is crazy. Jeremy would never stop using these vulgar words for me. He seemed to guess that I used to be turned on anytime he talked dirty like now; my pant was even wet.

"You go and fuck Kayla, not me," I said and moved away from his front again, but this time, he pulled me back and pinned me to the wall, and then a familiar voice roared behind:

"Jeremy, what the hell are you doing in my pack's hospital?"
