The day had finally come, a Coronation party in the Moon Academy. It was an event that students looked forward to because it was the night when Alpha would choose his mate, and the whole school would celebrate together. The anticipation was high among the students, but no one expected what would happen that night.
I was seated among the wolves watching the Coronation games and entertainment. Serah and her mom, Aurora, were all dressed in colorful dresses and unending smiles took over them.
Kayla, Amanda, and the crew were all seated in the left seat, which was just three seats away from me.
"Finally, Jeremy would choose me as his mate tonight and everything ends here!" Kayla said and chuckled.
"Of course, he would be tamed after his Coronation and would be unable to play around like before and no She-wolf could come nearer to him again." Amanda supported Kayla and they all smiled.
"If wolves can not hit on your mate, Kayla. Which human wolf can?" One of the three wolves added and they laughed sinisterly.
"Where is Amaya?" Kayla asked.
"That's her over there, count three seats from us!"
Laughter boomed in the sky as their gazes fell on me but I did not mind sparing them a gaze.
"Why is she seated like a crap?"
"Don't you know her seduction did not work on the Alphas? Alpha Brian of the Howler moon pack has suspended her for three months and Jeremy has chosen to be mine, not hers," Kayla said.
"Will she be going rogues?"
"You know Jeremy is a kind-hearted person. He has chosen to bring her to the Bloodmoon pack."
"Then she faces hell itself especially now that I am becoming the Luna of the pack," Kayla added.
Jason and Jeremy were all seated on their couches like kings and each of them was always staring at me. They were all alluring and breathtaking. These dudes are the most handsome male students in our school. And of course, a lot of postpubescent were killing themselves just to get a wink from them. However, none of them knew the other was staring at me just as he did.
Jason was dressed in a blue suit and an alluring head veil that matched his skin color and revealed his handsomeness. His smiles at intervals got me to crush more on him and got nervous as time drew nearer-the time to choose his mate.

Applause cheered the atmosphere as Jeremy and Jason were called up to the stage for their speech. The students cheered as they made their way to the front of the stage.
Jason took the microphone and cleared his throat. "Tonight is a special night," he began. "As you all know, it is the night where I will choose my mate. It is a tradition that has been followed for generations."
The students listened intently, wondering who Jason would choose. There were a few girls who had their eyes on him, but no one knew for sure who he would choose. Perhaps, some hands were already clapping for Serah as he spoke.
"I have thought long and hard about this decision," Jason swallowed and continued. "And I have come to a conclusion. My mate is..." He paused for dramatic effect, and everyone held their breath.
"Amaya," he said, pointing to me in the crowd.
"What?" Aurora roared, and jerked off from her seat, causing the drinks on the table to fly away.
Brian's eyes were dark and green. And JEREMY'S eyes were flickering at me in a dare.
The students were stunned because I was not somebody who anyone expected to choose. I was a quiet low Omega wolf who had no wolf and nobody knew me to be somebody Jason could choose.
I stood up, looking shocked and overwhelmed. Jason walked down from the stage towards me, and embraced me.
The students started whispering to each other, wondering what had happened. Why had Jason chosen me? What did he see in me that he didn't see in Serah?
The atmosphere in the room had changed. The energy that had been high and buzzing with excitement was now tense and uncomfortable.
Serah was seated at a table while Aurora was on her feet, and her friends, looking devastated. She had expected Jason to choose her, and she couldn't believe what was happening.
The party continued without joy. Nobody knew what to say or how to act. The celebration that had been planned for weeks had turned into a somber affair.
Jeremy was called upon to the stage too to call upon his mate. The whole place was still in total silence not until Jeremy walked down the stage and some little applauses cheered him up.
"Hello, everyone! As you all know that today, I, the Alpha of the Howler moon pack, will choose my mate right before everyone."
"My mate is nobody but..." He stopped, and smiled, Kayla's on her feet in panic, and fear engulfed me as he stared at me before he continued:
"Amaya!" He finalized.
"What? Are you guys out of your senses?"
An arrow pierced through my back, and I felt my eyes closing in Jason's arms.
"Amaya!" Jason screamed my name.
