Victoria's POV
''I don't like this.'' I murmured as we walked into the town hall
''Calm down you are also part of this wolfly, wolf or no Wolf.''she flashed me an assuring smile before she led me to the center row, we took a seat beside each other and waited for the meeting to begin
I stared around the hall and noticed the hall were filled with so many female wolves from the pack.
It's no news that our pack was the biggest in California and the third biggest in the world. We have so many members here and not to talk of the ones outside the country, either schooling or working. I stared around and noticed everyone was chattering happily with each other, even Sonia was in a deep discussion with someone, while I just sat there alone like an outcast.
''Greetings.'' Lamar, the mate to the Beta, greeted with a big smile on her face.
I stared at her standing in the middle of the hall and felt jealous of her, how lucky and favored she was.
She got her wolf at the age of eighteen, and on that same day she found her mate, which was the Beta.
''Melanin, please call out the number of attendance.'' Melanie stood up from her chair in the front row and fixed her gaze on us before closing her Eyes.
Melanie was gifted with the gift of fast reading, she could read a thousand of words within a minute
''906 female wolves are here.'' She spoke up and indeed we knew she was accurate.
''Very well, thank you, Melanie, you may have your seat.'' Melanie slightly lowered her head in respect before going back to her seat.
''Welcome everyone.'' She greeted while everyone responded with a howl apart from me.
''We all know why we are here, it's no news that our alpha is back…'' They did not let finish before everyone started howling happily like she just promised them eternity.
Seeing the excitement on their faces I scoffed and rolled my eyes
''Calm down.'' Immediately the hall became quiet
''Thank you, like I was saying, Alpha Derick is back, and soon his Luna will be here with us, so I think we should start preparing for her arrival, so the floor is opened for suggestion.'' She said those words and sat on the chair behind the high table where three other female wolves sat.
I noticed Clara stood up from behind the table and stood in front of us.
''We should hold a dance festival and even a fight tournament to celebrate her arrival.'' She suggested
''Nice suggestion.'' Julian, who was alpha's Derick's cousin, spoke up from the high table
''And I think we should….'' Those words did not leave Clara's mouth before something unimaginable happened
I saw Sonia who was sited beside me stood up like she was being controlled, she left her seat and walked up to the middle of the hall while I noticed two other ladies joined her at the front of the Hall.
The three of them stood beside each other while they interlocked their hands together. Their eyes were opened, and I noticed the color of their eyes were dark, an indication all three were having a vision.
Catherine and Linda has the same gift of Seeing visions like Sonia, just that Sonia was well exposed and experienced than them.
''There is no need for this meeting.'' The three spoke in unison,
''This meeting shouldn't be hold.'' They spoke again
''I see no reason having this meeting.'' They spoke in unison.
''When the time is right it will be known to you all, until then, this meeting is Irrelevant.'' They spoke in unison.
The hall became quiet as everyone was processing what the visionaries were saying.
I noticed they unlocked their hands and each one of them walked back to their seat like they were being controlled. Sonia sat back on her seat, closed her eyes and took in a deep breath before opening them.
The moment she opened her eyes I noticed there were back to normal
''Are you okay.'' I asked, became I knew the visionaries were always weak when they do have vision not controlled by them.
''I'm fine.'' She murmured and tiredly relaxed her back on the chair.
I began hearing murmuring and whispering as everyone was talking about what just happened.
''Calm down everyone.'' Juliana spoke up from the high table before standing on her feet and walked towards the front of the hall
''There is nothing to worry about the vision, the moon goddess has her reasons for withholding this meeting and I believe it's for the good of the pack.''
Everyone nodded their head in agreement
''So we will adjourn this meeting until when the moon goddess gives us a sign, then we can call for another meeting and remember what happened in the wolfly stays in the wolfly, the Wolfe shouldn't hear about it.'' She warned
Everyone nodded their head in agreement.
''Very well then, this meeting is adjourned until further notice.'' She said those words and walked back to the high table.
Everyone stood up on their feet and started leaving the hall one after each other.
I wanted to get up, but then I noticed Sonia was sited tiredly on her seat
''Is everything okay.'' I asked as I stared at her with concern.
Sonia wolf was a strong wolf, and she always tries to get herself whenever she has a vision, but she told me her bones and muscles becomes weak whenever she has direct visions from the moon goddess or whenever the moon goddess uses her body as a vessel.
''Sonia.'' I called out as I gently massaged her left shoulder
''Can you walk.''? I asked, but got no response from her. I moved my gaze around the hall and noticed Catherine and Linda were also sited on their chair having the same problem but when their eyes met with me, they both stared at me with a different look, a look I couldn't explain.
''I saw you in my vision.'' She whispered like she wanted no one to hear us.
''What did you See.'' I asked curiously.
Slowly she shook her head and met eyes with me
''I'm not allowed to say it to you or anyone, but trust me you have to be strong.'' She flashed me a weak smile before trying to stand on her feet, but I placed her hand or my shoulder and assisted her.
Slowly we walked out of the hall and was standing in front of the entrance door when I noticed Sonia mate standing beside his car with a worried look on his face.
When he saw us, he quickly rushed to us and took Sonia away from me
''Why did you come.'' Sonia asked
''My wolf was troubled, I went to your house and your mother said you went for the wolfly meeting, so I had to quickly come here, are you okay.'' He asked in a worried tune
''Yes, the moon goddess used my body as a vessel.'' She murmured tiredly
''That means you need to rest, I'll take you home, thanks for the help Vicky.'' He flashed me a warm smile before he carried Sonia in his arm in a bridal style and left.
I stood there and watched Sonia mate carried her away, he opened his car and gently kept her on the back seat, closed the door and rushed to the driver seat, got in and drove off.
I stood there and felt my heart clenched in pains as I wondered if a day would come when someone would care this much for me.
