Victoria's POV
As I walked closer to mother, I could see the angry look on her face.
''Let's talk about this some other time.'' She said those words to the gardener, who nodded her head in agreement before leaving.
Angrily she moved her gaze back to me with her arms folded and an expressionless look on her face
''And where are you coming from.'' She asked angrily
''I went out to cool my head.'' I murmured
''Really?'' she asked in anger, and took few steps towards me
''Listen, I have no problem with you going out, but you can't neglect your duties in this mansion, I don't want other servants to start gossiping and whispering about you.''she spoke angrily
I heard all she said, but I did not say a word because I wasn't in the mood to exchange words with her.
''What do you need me to do.'' I spoke up after I realized she must have finished blabbering.
''You…'' She paused and pointed a finger at me
''I know all you want to do is leave this pack, but you don't have to keep showing it to everyone through your behavior. The alpha is back, and you know the kind of person he is, I don't want you getting on his bad book.'' She expressed those words as a plead
Hearing those words from mother, I scoffed and wondered what she would do as she realizes I'm already under the claws of alpha Derick.
I noticed her tiredly massaged her forehead before she spoke up
''A new duty has been assigned to you.''
''Which is.'' I asked as I furrow my eyebrows confused.
''Your duty is to wash the alpha's feet when he wakes up, and before he retires to bed…'' I did not let mother finished with her words before I cut in
''You must be joking, right.'' I asked with a bitter chuckle.
''No, I'm not.'' She replied firmly
''Fuck.'' I grumbled while running my fingers through my hair.
''Why must I be the one to carry out this task, I already have countless things in my hand.''
''You should count yourself Lucky to get this task, go in and get ready, you are to wash his feet by 8pm at night and 7am in the morning.'' Mother explained
With the seriousness in her voice there was no need arguing about it because I knew everything was settled, and there was nothing that's gonna change about it or else Alpha Derick refuses me, which I knew he would.
''I've heard you.'' I did not let those words leave my lips, before I walked out on her.
This is more than a torment, there are more than twenty servants in this mansion, then why was I chosen to wash his feet.
I was going through a lot, and I'm trying to escape it, and then all of a sudden, this.
I walked back to my room, sat on the bed and tiredly rubbed my hands on my face as I went into deep thought
I have just two days left after tonight, and yet I don't know what to do.
I have to run away from this pack and from his claws, I can't be here to face punishment for a crime I never committed.
Tiredly, I stood up from the bed, took off my clothes and walked into the bathroom attached to my room.
I took a warm bath, left the bathroom and walked back to my room. I put on a simple outfit of green sweatpants and a white long sleeve shirt before dying my hair with a towel.
Tiredly I left my room and went back to the servant's Kitchen where I saw mother preparing to go to the main house.
''You are here, let's go.'' She left the kitchen while I followed her behind.
We got to the main house and I followed mother to the mansion's Kitchen.
We entered the kitchen and Mom and I started working without neither of us saying a word.
We prepared the dinner for the Lucianos in total silence until mom spoke up
''After dinner you go upstairs and wash the alpha's feet, do well not to make any mistake, I don't want you getting into trouble.'' I heard her, but I totally ignored her and went on with what I was doing.
We finished preparing the dinner while a servant prepared the table and set the food for them.
''Are you hungry.'' Mom asked as she dished her food in a plate
''No.'' I murmured and sat on the long stool
I mean How could I be hungry when I Know what awaits me a few minutes from now.
''Why must he wash his feet.'' I grumbled to myself, but I never knew it was loud enough for mother to hear
''Because it's a tradition, Every Alpha of the moon pack feet must be washed twice a day.'' She spoke up
''Then why should I be the one to do this job, I mean there are so many servants here, why must it be me.''
''You should find yourself Lucky to have the privilege of being close to the alpha, you don't know what you might achieve along the line.''
I scoffed and rolled my eyes, If only she knew the mess I'm already into.
''There are so many servants here mom, why must I be the one when I'm not even a servant here, I'm just your assistant, why then should I do this.'' I grumbled angrily.
Don't get me wrong, I would have gladly done other jobs, but washing the feet of Alpha Derick every day was something I couldn't stand.
It was obvious he already hates me and thinks I'm using charms on him, and now he has made a great threat in my life, but here I am, being sent to wash his feet.
''It would be 8pm soon, pour the warm water in the bowl and take it upstairs to his room.''
Hearing those words from mother, I stood up from the stool and walked over to the where the bowl was kept, I poured the water in the bowl and picked it up
''I beg you, please make no mistake.'' Mom pleaded.
Ignoring her, I left the Kitchen and dragged my feet upstairs to Alpha Derick's room.
Each step I took I could feel my heart racing with fear and my Palms becoming sweaty, With heavy feet I counted my steps hoping I won't get to the room, but unfortunately, I got to the room quicker than I thought.
''Save me moon goddess.'' I prayed, even though I don't believe in her anymore.
