Alpha Derick's POV
I could feel my heart racing with anger as I stared at the door while I heard her loud cry and plead from afar.
Initially, I wanted to let go of everything if she had just destroyed the charm she did to my wolf, but rather she shattered me in the process, because of her greed.
Angrily, I walked up to my desk, poured some whiskey into the glass cup, drank everything in it, before squeezing the glass into pieces with my left Palm.
I noticed my hand bleeding profusely, but I ignored it and roughly scattered my hair with my right hand.
I heard the door opened and without being told I knew it was father.
''And what is the meaning of that?'' He asked the minute he stepped into the room.
Groaning fiercely, I turned around and stared at him, but I did not say a word because I did not know how to explain to father that I can no longer feel my wolf.
''Derick.'' He called out angrily, but I was quick to respond
''I'm not in the mood to talk about this, father.''
''You must be joking, you just jailed a young lady and here you are, saying you don't want to talk about it, ''Dad yelled.
Groaning heavily, I took out a wipe from my desk and wiped off my bleeding palm.
''Derick, I'm talking to you and you better start talking.'' Dad yelled.
I took in a deep breath and fixed my gaze on dad
''I'm alpha Derick, and I'm not answerable to anyone.'' I declared firmly while I interlocked eyes with dad.
I noticed the color of his eyes were changing, so I hurriedly move my gaze away and turned my back to him, so it wouldn't notice a thing.
''I hope you know what you are doing.'' Dad groaned angrily before I heard his footsteps and a thundering bang on the door, announcing his exit.
Sighing angrily, I wipe my hand and threw the wipe in the trash bin before sitting on the couch. Lazily, I closed my eyes and tried to access my wolf, but I felt nothing, absolutely nothing.
With anger, I opened my Eyes and rubbed my two palms on my face.
This was a disaster and I can't let anyone know about this. I can't let anyone know I don't have my wolf. If they do, it will be a big risk to me and my pack.
I heard a soft knock on my door before the door opened and Anthony came walking in.
''What is it.'' I asked in annoyance.
''Latanith Clinton is here to see you.''
I wasn't surprised at Clinton's visit because I knew I would be expecting him soon.
''Let him in.'' I said those words and relaxed on the couch while my eyes were closed.
I heard the door opened and closed before I heard footsteps walking into the office, but it stopped a few steps away from me.
''Greetings Alpha.'' Clinton greeted in a manner which indicated he was angry.
''Go straight to the point, Clinton.'' I spoke up with my eyes still closed and my head leaning backward on the head seat.
''May I know why Victoria is being locked up.'' He demanded in annoyance.
Hearing the tone of his speech, I could tell he was furious and was doing everything in his power not to blow it up.
''Go home Clinton, I'll call for a meeting if the need be,'' I blurted out firmly.
''I'm sorry to disobey you, alpha, but you can't keep an innocent lady locked up just because you have some stupid superstition.'' He spoke angrily.
Angrily I opened my eyes, stood up from the couch and stood before him, with my gaze fixed on him while I noticed he possesses no fear in him, unlike the others.
''Superstition you say.'' I shouted furiously, as I clenched my both fist.
''I mean no disrespect Alpha, but do you have any proof to this.'' He demanded in a calm voice, but the anger in his voice could be noticed.
Angrily, I drew in a sharp breath and turned my back at him
''Leave, I'll call for you, if the need be.''
''I'm sorry Alpha, but I can't leave, until you decide to take her case for a trial, you can't sentence her to death without letting her go through a trial.''he argued bitterly.
Angrily I turned around and met eyes with him only to see that the color of his eyes were darkened, but quickly I looked away, so he wouldn't notice I was wolfless.
''Leave.'' I muttered those words as an order
''But…''
''Leave.'' I yelled
I noticed he hesitated for a moment before he walked out of my office.
Sighing heavily, I ran my fingers through my hair and thought on what to do to get back my wolf.
I was still in thought when I noticed my Beta walked in and stood by the door
''The cook wishes to see you.'' I groaned angrily because I knew why she was here
''Let her in.'' Anthony lowered his respect before leaving my office.
I glared at the pieces of shattered glass on the floor, but my thought was on something else.
''Greetings Alpha.'' I turned around to her because I did not know when she walked in.
Ignoring her greetings, I walked up to the window and stood by it,
''Speak.'' I ordered
''Please alpha have Mercy on my daughter.'' She begged
Groaning angrily I turned around.
''Do you know what she did.'' I spoke in anger because I was getting agitated at everything.
''I beg of you Alpha, she was just naive and being mischievous.'' She begged.
Hearing those words from her, I came to realize that she knew her daughter used spell and charms on me.
''So you knew all along.'' I yelled
''No, no, Alpha.'' She fell on her knees and dropped her head to the ground
''I just came to know about this, just a moment ago, although she denied ever doing it.''
Angrily, I turned my gaze to the window, but didn't say a word. The room was silent for a moment before I spoke up
''Tell your daughter to undo whatever she did, then I can be gracious enough to take out the death sentence on her.''
''Your servant is grateful, I'll do just that.'' I noticed she stood up from the floor and rushed out of my office.
Angrily, I took in a deep breath to calm the anger already burning in me.
I was still in thought when I noticed my phone was ringing, reluctantly I went for it and my heart skipped with fear the moment I saw the caller
''Hey.'' I spoke nervously, the moment I picked up the call.
''Hey baby, I just call to inform you that I will be on my way, I can't wait to see you.''she spoke happily.
''Shit, I'm not in the pack.'' I spoke quickly, without thinking about it.
''There is a situation that needs my attention.'' I explained
''That isn't a problem I'll wait for you.''
''I won't be at the pack.'' lied
''Oh.' Emma murmured over the phone
''I'm so sorry bae, but I'll call you the minute I get back to the pack.'' I assured her
''Alright dear, be careful.''
''I will.'' I said those words and ended the call.
Sighing heavily, I kept the phone on the desk and tiredly massaged my Forehead.
I can't let Emma see me this way Because she will know something is obviously wrong and will sense no wolf in me.
''Alpha.'' My beta announced his presence to me and stood by the door
I walked away from the window and sank myself in the couch while I vigorously rubbed my forehead.
''Anthony.'' I called out
''Yes alpha.'' He responded
''You are my Beta and my right-hand man. You should know things of the pack and keep them as secrets.''
''You can trust me.''
Before speaking up, I nodded my head to his words.
''I was placed under a spell by Victoria, it has affected me so badly by destroying my wolf. What must I do to get my wolf.'' I asked
Anthony was silent for a short time before he spoke up.
''It's either the charm is being destroyed or the person who cast the spell should be killed to destroy the charm.'' He explained.
When I heard those words from him, I stood up from the couch and aimlessly walked around my office for a moment before I spoke up
''Take me to the cell.''
''Yes Alpha.''
