Derick's POV
I heard the sound of the door, which meant she has left the room.
Quickly I turned around and fixed my gaze on the closed door
''What was that.'' I asked my wolf, who howled in anger and shut himself from away from me.
Slowly I sat on the bed and thought of what happened few minutes ago, the way I felt when she touched my feet was a feeling I felt Only once and that was on the day I marked Emma as my mate. Ever since then I haven’t had such spark or feelings in my body, not until now when she touched my feet.
Luckily, I was able to control my wolf and kept him in bay, if not I wondered what would have happened.
''What's going on.'' I grumbled while roughly running my fingers through my hair.
This charm, this charm or spell she was using, was indeed strong and incredible.
I was still in thought wondering what was going on when I noticed my phone ringing, groaning softly I went for it at the other side of the bed, checked the caller and noticed it was Emma calling. Taking a deep breath I picked up her call
''Hey bae.'' I tried speaking in a cheerful voice, so she wouldn't notice a thing.
''Hey baby, I was missing you and decided to call since you've refused calling me.'' She grumbled like a child.
Sighing softly, I roughly scattered my hair when I remembered I haven't spoken to Emma since she left for her pack this morning.
''I'm so sorry, dear, I've been busy with work.'' I murmured tiredly
''So sorry dear and that's why you need me beside you to help with work.'' Hearing those words from her, I knew what she meant
''Not to worry babe, You will be right here With me soon.'' I assured her, but the moment I said those words, a certain person flashed in my head.
''I can't wait.'' She giggled happily, which made me smiled in return.
''I made a gift for you and my servant will deliver it to you by tomorrow.''
''What's that.'' I asked curiously
''I won't say, It's a surprise, but I believe you would love it.''
''Alright, I'll be waiting for it.'' I replied tiredly
''Seems you are exhausted, I'll let you go to be early, goodnight baby boo, and don't forget to dream about me.''
''Not like I have a choice.'' We both laugh at my words before she hung up
sighing heavily I collapsed on the bed with my arms wide opened.
I forcefully shut my eyes and tried to get some sleep, but a certain face kept appearing in my memory.
''Mate.'' My silent wolf howled in anger
''Shut up, I've been trying to speak to you, but you won't just listen, now shut up.'' I spoke angrily, but he refused and kept on howling, preventing me from sleeping.
Angrily, I stood up from the bed, left my room and took the stairs downstairs.
''Greetings alpha.'' A servant who was closing from her duty greeted, but I did not respond
I walked out of the main Mansion and walked around the compound while I kept having a serious fight with my Wolf.
He kept howling in anger at me, but refused to say a word. Angrily I walked towards the garden and was almost at the garden when I perceived a familiar and alluring scent
''Mate.'' My wolf howled happily
Quickly, I fastened my footsteps and walked towards the direction of the scent, only to see a familiar figure In front of me walking quickly and looking around like she was avoiding being caught by anyone.
Quickly I hid behind a tree in the garden and watched her stood in a corner while she kept staring around with fear and curiosity.
This is it, I knew I was right all along, there was something devilish about her, and seeing the Way she was reacting, I could tell she was about to perform a spell.
Great, this was the right time to catch her in the act.
I watched her moved her eyes around for a while and when she was sure everywhere was clear she knelled on the floor and called out a name.
''Spanky.'' She whispered, but nothing happened
hearing that name from her, I found the name odd and ridiculous.
''Spanky.'' She whispered again and behold this time there was a sound coming from the corner of a tree which was surrender by flowers.
Quickly I fixed my gaze towards the direction the sound was coming, and to my surprise what I saw wasn't what I was expecting.
What came out behind the tree was a small white rabbit, With big ears.
''What's this.'' I asked curiously, as I wondered if this was what she serves.
''I'm sorry I came late, I was really busy today.'' She murmured as she picked up the rabbit and held it in her arms.
''You must be starving, I brought some carrot for you.'' when she whispered those words, I noticed she took out a carrot from under her dress and gave it to the rabbit, who quickly took a bite.
''You must be starving, I'm sorry.'' She murmured in pains, as she gently caressed the body of the rabbit while she kept feeding it.
I stood behind the tree and waited for the rabbit to change its form or for she to cast a spell, but nothing happened apart from her feeding the rabbit and sighing heavily.
''You must be really freezing, don't worry, I'll make another house for you.'' She murmured and kept on running her fingers through the body of the rabbit.
I stood there and watched patiently waiting for her to say or do something suspicious but nothing happened until she finished feeding the rabbit and kept it on the floor.
I noticed the rabbit played around her for a while, while she kept on laughing With so much joy on her face.
I took a better look at her and realized she was indeed beautiful when she laughs and suddenly, I felt my heartbeat increased.
Quickly, I looked away and wondered what was going on.
I watched her jumped around with the rabbit for a while before she picked it up and placed kisses all over his body and put it back in the brushes.
