Victoria's POV
I stood there anxiously, waiting to hear her story. I was inquisitive and eager to know why a young lady would be sentenced to such a painful death as hanging.
With my gaze fixed on her, I noticed she was lost in thought, more like she was recalling a memory, and by the look on her face, I could tell the memory was agonizing.
''I had a perfect life, the way of life I wanted and always dreamed of.'' She whispered those words, almost to herself, after a moment of silence.
''I found my mate when I turned eighteen, had an amazing gift and abilities, a wonderful family and everything anyone could wish for.'' I noticed a half smile creeped the left part of her lip, and then I knew those memories must have been a pleasant one for her.
I watched her closed her eyes, drew in a sharp breath and opened them, but then I spotted tears trimmed down her cheek.
''I was very curious and adventurous that I would leave our packs and visit other packs just for adventures.'' She scoffed and shook her head.
''That faithful day I left my pack and came to the moon pack for adventure, despite all the warnings I got from my mate. He begged and pleaded with me to stay in our pack, but I refused because the five packs were at peace, so I felt no need to get scared or troubled.'' When I heard those words from her. I came to realize that she wasn't from this pack, but then I wondered what was she doing locked up in here.
''What happened.'' I asked specifically.
I caught a devilish smile on her face which made her looked insane, but I knew she wasn't.
''I got to the moon pack that faithful day and decided to Hunt in the woods, so I ran to the thick part of the woods, took off my clothes and was about shifting to my wolf when I caught a stranger staring at me with lustful eyes.''slowly she shook her head and continued.
''Quickly I rushed for my clothes, but he was quick and gripped me by the waist while he pulled me to himself. I screamed and howled for him to let go of me, but he chuckled loudly and told me no one could save me.'' I noticed she sniffles and wipes off the tears off her cheek with the back of her palms.
''He wanted to have his way with me, but I refused. We struggled and struggled, but he was overpowering me and I had to do something…'' She paused and gulped in pain.
''I did not know how it happened, I did not know how I did it, but all I remember was that there was a metal on the floor beside me and without a second thought, I picked it up and smash him on the head with everything in me.'' She paused, and I noticed she went into deep thought again, before she spoke up.
''I did not hit it once, neither did I hit him twice, but I kept hitting him until he fell to the ground and gave up his ghost.''she smiled in pain and went on,
''When I realized he was dead, and that I was in his pack, I quickly put on my clothes but as fate would have it, three people showed up out of nowhere. Without hearing from me, they called me a killer, and things became worst when they recognized I wasn't from here.'' She murmured in pains and drew back the tears threatening to fall down from her cheek.
''They grabbed me and the dead body to your Alpha when he made a call to my Alpha, notifying him I was in their custody. Two days thereafter a trial was done for me and the three people who saw me when I was about running away lied and bear false witnesses against me.''
''They lied, I robbed their friend and murdered him in the process.'' She sighed heavily and shook her head.
''They had so much evidence against me that I became speechless and didn't know what to say or do.'' She mumbled and shook her head in regrets.
''My Alpha, Alpha of the peculiar pack, handed me to the moon pack to give whatever judgement on me based on the tradition which states the pack of the deceased will be the pack to place judgement on the murderer.''she mumbled.
''Tomorrow is my final trial, and I'm going to face the new alpha, but I've already heard so much about him, about his brutality and what he did in Australia, so I already know my fate.''after saying those Words she took in a deep breath and swallowed in pains before she squatted on the floor with her two hands still on the gate.
After hearing her story, I still considered her lucky. At least she was once happy and lived a fulfilled life.
''You.''' She lifted her eyebrows curiously at me
''Why are you here?, With the way you weep it's obvious, You are innocent from any charge given to you.'' She muttered those words like she was so sure of it.
Sighing heavily, I took in a deep breath but didn't say a word because I did not know how to say it, neither do I know how to explain this to anyone.
''It's okay, if you don't wanna talk about it, some things are like that.'' She stood up from the floor and went inside the darkened part of the cell where I couldn't see her.
With my knees pulled to my chest, I felt hot tears on my cheek, but I hurriedly wipe it off. Now wasn't the time to show weakness.
With the last strength in me, I banged on my cell gate, calling for the attention of the cell guard. I kept banging and rattling until A guard stood in front of my cell.
''What's the Noise all about.'' He shouted angrily.
''I need you to please pass an information for me.'' I pleaded.
