Victoria's POV
With a broken heart, I walked into the servant's quarters, went into my room and shut the door. I collapsed on my small bed and spread my arms opened as I thought of my life.
I was already twenty and have no wolf or mate, but I've decided to live with this curse and then this.
I have two days to undo a charm I never did, or I will face the consequences of what I did not do.
Sighing heavily, I picked up my phone I left in my reading mirror, dialed a number and placed it on my ear.
The call rang a few times before it was picked.
''Hey Vicky.'' He spoke up as soon as he picked up the call
''Hey dad, did I wake you up.''
''Not at all, you know you can call me anytime.'' I heard him yawn over the phone before I noticed sounds, indicating he was leaving the bed.
''How are you, my dear.'' He asked
''I'm fine, Dad.'' I replied tiredly
''No you are not, tell me what's wrong.'' He begged
Sighing heavily I spoke up
''I'm tired of this town, Every second being in this town is like a torture for me.'' I grumbled
''I know my dear, but don't worry you have Only few months to stay there and after that, you will be in Australia, just be patient.'' Dad pleaded
''Alright dad, I just hope I don't die before then.''
''Nothing will happen to you, your mother is always with you.'' Dad always says those words whenever I'm distressed, and the way he says it feels like he was talking about someone else.
''Mother isn't helping matters.'' I murmured
He sighed softly over the phone before speaking up
''If I knew, I wouldn't have let you leave for California, I Only let you go because I thought that's where you should be, considering who your mother was.'' He grumbled
''Dad you always refer to mother with past tense, just because you guys got separated when I was little doesn't mean you should consider her dead.'' I murmured
Dad kept quiet for a while before he spoke up
''Let's forget about that, I've already sent your admissions papers to the university, so when you come we can start preparing for your school.''
''Thanks dad.''
''You are welcome, don't you think you should stay here with me.'' He asked
''No dad, you have a family now, I don't want to be a burden.''
''You are the most important person, in my life, you can never be a burden to me, but I'll respect your decision, I've already brought a two-bedroom flat for you close to your school.''
''Dad, you shouldn't have, I would have stayed in the campus.'' I murmured
''I have the money to spend so let me spend it on you.''hearing those words from dad I began to wonder if father has this much money then why did mother work here as a cook for so long.
''Alright dad, thanks, I'll let you sleep, bye.''
''Bye my princess.''he said those words while I ended the call and dropped the phone on the bed.
Life with dad was fun and exciting, I had whatever I needed, clothes, money, and shoes. I had all that, until I turned sixteen, when Dad told me who my mother really was.
Since I was ten, mother left me with dad, but we do talk on the phones, so when dad told me my mother was a werewolf, I then understood why they both got separated.
At seventeen, dad had no choice than to send me to Agora town because he thought I would shift to my wolf form when I turned eighteen, and I need to know things about them, but unfortunately things turned out different.
A soft knock on my door snapped me out of my thought
''Who is it.'' I asked
''It's me, Vicky, sir James is waiting for you outside the servants quarters.''hearing those words I remembered the deal I had with Sir Luciano and I totally forgot about it.
''Tell him, I'll be with him shortly.'' I stood up from my bed, took out a jacket from my closet, put it on before leaving my room.
I walked out of the servant's quarters and saw James looking around with folded arms.
I walked up to him and stood before him
''Sorry, were you busy.'' He asked politely, the exact opposite of a certain someone
''Not really.'' I replied with a friendly smile
He did not say a word, but rather he took few steps close to me that I could perceive his Strong mainly scent coming from his perfume.
He brought forth his hands and tucked my hair behind my two ears.
''You have beautiful ears and shouldn't be hiding them.'' He flashed me a big smile which revealed his beautiful set of teeth.
''Thanks.'' I replied shyly and looked
We stood there for a while before he broke the silence.
''Can you take me around.'' He asked politely
''Yes, sure, where do you want to go.''
He shrugged his shoulders and replied''Anywhere.''
''Very well, then let's visit the town's market, it's not too far from here.
He followed me behind, and we walked out of the mansion
We strolled for a while before we got to the market.
''Have you been here before.'' I asked
''Yes, but I was a teen then, Derick and I will sneak out of the house and play around the town, those were good old days.'' He smiled widely like he was remembering a memory.
''Nice.'' I replied as we walked around the market,
''Is everyone in this town a werewolf.'' He asked
''Yes, apart from me.'' I laughed in order to hide my pains.
I noticed he stared at me with a pity look before he spoke up
''The world has approved of werewolf existence, but they are yet to approve that of vampires.''
''They shouldn't, those people are blood sucking demons, and they should keep hiding forever.'' I grumbled
''Seems like you hate them so much.'' He asked with a soft Chuckle
I shrugged my shoulders and said''Dad hates them a lot, but that's not the reason I hate them, the hatred I have for them is built deep in my heart and I don't know why.'' I murmured
''Maybe it's because you are a werewolf, it's normal for werewolves to have hatred for vampires.''
''Maybe.'' I replied, but I knew that wasn't really it.
We walked around the market while I showed him things and how to use them.
After hours of walking around the market, we decided to go back to the mansion. We left the market and went back to the mansion.
''Do you need anything from me.'' I asked as we stepped our feet in the mansion
''Yes, please follow me.'' I nodded my head and followed him into the sitting room.
''The first Time I saw a wolf in this town, I urinated in my underwear.'' Hearing those words from him, I laughed loudly and couldn't control it.
We were still laughing at his words when my eyes met With Alpha Derick.
''Shit.'' I whispered in fear and swallowed nervously.
