Victoria's POV
I prayed to the moon goddess to let the ground open up and swallow me, but as usual, she disappointed me.
''Start talking.'' The tone of his angry voice snapped me out from my thoughts which made me flipped in fear.
''I don't… know.'' He did not let me finish before he let go of my arms and tightly took hold of my neck.
''What did you do to my wolf.'' He yelled and tightened his grip on me, but slowly I shook my head, not able to speak.
''You.'' He groaned angrily and let go of my neck while I fell on the floor to catch my breath
''I will ask you for the last time, what did you do to my wolf.'' He asked while clenching his fist.
''Nothing, I did nothing.'' I whispered in tears.
''Very well then, you leave me with no choice.'' He said those words while I noticed his eyes were closed for a while before he opened them.
He stared at me with a death glare before going back to the couch.
Tiredly, I held my neck and could tell he has already left red marks on my neck because I could still feel pains on my neck.
I heard the sound of the door and noticed Anthony, the Beta of Alpha Derick, walked in.
He met eyes with me and I could see the pity look on his face before he moved his gaze to Alpha Derick.
''What is the penalty for one who uses charms or spell on an Alpha.'' Alpha derrick asked with his gaze fixed on me.
''Death by stoning.'' Anthony replied while staring at the with wild eyes.
''Very well then.'' Alpha Derick stood up from the couch and walked up to me.
''Lock her in the cell, she will be stoned to death the day after tomorrow.''
''No.'' I yelled and rushed to him while I took hold of his leg
''Please don't kill me, I'm innocent, I did not do anything, I can swear with my life.'' I yelled in tears as I tightened my grip on his left leg
''Are you just standing there, I said you should take her away.'' He yelled and kicked me away, which made me fell on the floor.
''Lets go.'' With ease Anthony pulled me up from the floor, but I struggled out of his grip and rushed to alpha Derick
''Please believe me, I'm innocent, please don't kill me.'' I begged, but Anthony was fast to catch me and dragged me out of the office.
''I'm innocent, I did not do it.'' I cried bitterly as I was being dragged by Anthony.
I could see the pity look on the servant's faces while some had curious look wondering what I must have done.
''Please save me.'' I begged the servants I met on the way while I was being dragged to the cell, but no one looked my way.
Anthony dragged me to the cell and asked one of the cell guard to open a cell for me.
Quickly, the guard opened the cell and Anthony dragged me in because I was having a fight with him.
The cell gate locked and Anthony stood there while staring at me with a pale look
''What did you do.'' He asked
''Nothing, believe me, I did not.'' I cried bitterly.
''Can you prove it.''? He asked
I gulped in pains and slowly shook my head
sighing heavily he shook his head and walked away without saying a word.
With heavy heart, I slide on the floor, rested my back on the wall, while I dragged my knees to my chest.
''Wake up Vicky, this is a nightmare.'' I murmured to myself as tears fell freely on my cheek.
How can life be so unfair to me, firstly I have no wolf, and mate, and now I'm being accused of using charms on alpha Derick. Last night I had plans of leaving this town and just this morning I'm being put in a cell and sentenced to death without going through a trial.
''No.'' I yelled in pains at the top of my voice
''Can you keep it down, I'm trying to have some sleep.'' I heard a female voice coming from the opposite cell.
I ignored her and kept sobbing loudly while I remembered the perfect life I had while staying with father.
''Can you at least shut up, I'm to be hanged tomorrow and today is the last day I can have a good sleep, so please can you let me sleep.'' She yelled as she banged on her cell gate and stood by it.
Hearing what she said, I stood up from the floor, turned around and faced her.
We met eyes with each other and I could see pains, anger, and revenge in her eyes.
Taking a good look at her, I could tell she should be in her early twenties, her long brown hair were roughly scattered all over her face preventing me From seeing her face, while a metal choker was wrapped around her neck which would prevent her from shifting into her wolf.
''At least you might make it here alive, so stop crying like a little girl who got lost in the woods'' She spoke angrily and sat on the floor while her face was lowered to the ground.
Staring at her, I could tell she must have been here for a really long time and for a second, I forget my plight and was rather interested in her story.
''Hey.'' I called out to her but got no response from her
''Why are you here.'' I asked and the moment I Said those words she chuckled loudly like I just made a terrible joke.
Quickly, she stood up from the floor and stood before her cell gate while her two hands held unto the gate.
''Do you really want to know.'' She asked excitedly like a lunatic
Seeing her behavior I couldn't say a word, but rather I just nodded my head in reply
''Well, let me tell you a story.''
