Victoria's POV
Everywhere was silent for a while before we heard loud groan coming from Jay Jay.
We heard a loud cry of pain from him as we heard his bones cracking while the ground shook a little, indicating he was shifting to his wolf.
We kept hearing the howling of the male wolves and the female wolves joined in.
''Ladies, you can remove your blindfolds.'' Hearing those words, I took off my blindfold and saw a beautiful black wolf.
He howled loudly and walked around while everyone howled happily.
He walked over to where alpha Derick was seated and lowered his head in respect.
Alpha Derick gently caressed his body before removing his hand.
I heard jay Jay howled Loudly and hits his forefeet on the ground before he fixed his gaze on someone.
We all moved our eyes towards the direction, and noticed his gaze were fixed on Lola, who was still under the age of eighteen.
He walked up to her and took in a deep breath to inhaled her scent before placing his head on her laps, indicating she was his mate.
Everyone howled happily and clapped their hands with excitement.
Everything was just the way they wanted it, he was able to shift into his wolf and found his mate, soon, or later he will discover his gift, gifted to him by the moon goddess.
I felt my heart clenched as I remembered how my ceremony was a total disaster.
''I'll go get a drink for us ''I nodded my head to Sonia who left for our drinks.
I took in a deep breath and was about taking my seat when Clara and her group of friends walked up to me
''Hey human wolf, we knew why you came, you came so that you could see if Jay Jay will fall into the same misfortune with you, but he disappointed you.'' She chuckled loudly while the others laughed loudly.
''Let me be.'' I spoke angrily
''And if we don't.''she asked
I ignored her and tried walking away, but she held my arm.
''You don't belong here, if I were you, I would go far away from this pack because to us, you are a virus, and we don't want to get infected.''she mocked.
The other females with her laughed loudly while holding their stomach.
''I'll advise you to leave this town before you get killed by who knows.'' She shrugged her shoulders with a devilish smile.
''Virus.'' She yelled while the others yelled after her, bringing the attention of everyone to us.
I noticed everyone gaze were on me, and they were all having one look on their faces, which says Clara was right.
With tears filled eyes I met eyes with alpha Derick, but I quickly looked away because I knew he won't say a word, not when he hates me so much.
Quickly I ran away into the woods as fast as my legs could carry me while I cried profusely.
I kept running and running with speed as Clara's words and images of what happened on my eighteenth birthday flashed in my head.
I kept running, and was almost out of my breath, but I did not stop Even though the wood was thick and dark, I wasn't scared at all, all I wanted was to vanish away.
''Victoria.'' I heard a loud voice behind me, but I couldn't recognize it.
Ignoring the call, I continued running until I felt exhausted and decided to walk.
As my heart clenched with pains, I wipe off the tears on my cheek and continued walking with no direction in my head.
''Victoria.'' I heard a familiar voice behind me, a voice I wasn't expecting to hear here.
Quickly I turned around and saw alpha Derick standing before me with an angry looking face.
''Didn't you hear my call.'' He asked in anger
I Ignored him and turned around to walk away, but he held my arm and pulled me to him which made us stood an inch apart.
I noticed he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath before opening them.
''Lets go.'' He did not let me speak before he pulled me along.
''Let go of me.'' I murmured and collapsed on the ground as I have no strength in me.
''You are this weak and yet, you ran around the wood for that long.'' He grumbled angrily and let go of my arm.
I watched him groaned angrily and ran his fingers through his hair before he moved closer to me and carried me from the floor in a bridal style.
I stared at him with shocked filled and tried to move away from his grip, but he groaned angrily and moved his gaze to me
''Be still.'' Those words came as a command and brought cold shivers all over my body.
Hearing those words from him, I gave up and allowed him carried me.
He walked for a while before I started hearing voices from afar.
''I believe you can walk on your own now.'' He grumbled and kept me down.
We took few steps before I noticed we were In front of sir Saul's house and everyone was still there, staring at the woods.
''Victoria.'' Sonia rushed to me and gave me a tight hug.
''You got me scared.'' She murmured and moved her gaze to me
''Are you hurt.'' Clinton asked as he took my both hands.
''Relax, let me take the pains away.'' Clinton shut his eyes and like a twinkle of an eye all the pains in my body disappeared.
''Thank you.''
''You don't have to worry, and as for Clara, I will deal with her my own way.'' I nodded my head to him and moved my gaze back to Sonia.
''I want to go home.'' I murmured those words to Sonia, who quickly nods her head.
I noticed alpha Derick groaned loudly to the hearing of everyone, but he didn't say a word, rather he walked away, entered his car and drove off.
''We are in trouble.'' A wolf male murmured.
