Victoria's POV
Like a lost Lamb, I walked around the cold Town of Agora with no particular direction in mind, while the cold snow falling from the sky fell on my body like a hard rock.
With heavy feet, I dragged myself towards a direction, a direction I knew I could find peace and maybe comfort.
As I get closer, I could hear the sound of engines and a fascinating scent coming from the big brown painted building.
Slowly I took a deep breath and walked pass the gate of the building.
''Hey Vicky.'' One of the workers greeted
''Greetings Solomon.'' I replied With a fake smile and walked towards the entrance door.
The moment I got in, I saw workers busy with one activity or the other. Some were mixing the big bowl of flour, some were servicing the machines while others were baking the bread.
''Victoria, you are here.'' I turned around and met eyes with Sir Clifford, A beta to the former Alpha
''Greetings sir.'' I greeted with my head slightly lowered
''Greetings my dear, what are you doing here.''he asked with a welcoming smile on his face.
Nervously I bit my lips because actually, I have no intention or good reason of coming here
''Are you here to see Clinton.'' He asked after he noticed my few seconds of silence
''Yes.'' I quickly replied while nodding my head
He chuckled softly and shook his head with amusement
''You should have said that.he is in the other hall where they are wrapping the bread.''
''Thank you.'' Slowly I turned and walked towards the direction of the packaging room. Each step I took, I noticed the worker's curious eyes on me, and believe me I was already used to so many eyes on me.
I got to the packaging hall, and saw not less than twenty people busy while wrapping the bread.
Tiredly, I scanned around looking for Clinton until I saw him taking to one of the workers.
I was about calling out to him and making my presence known to him, but it felt like he noticed my presence Because he Quickly looked my way.
''Hey.'' I greeted awkwardly
He flashed me a big warm smile that made my heart flutters, before moving his gaze back to the man he was talking to.
I stood there and watched him say a few words to the man before he handed a file to him and walked towards me
''Hey Vicky, how are you.'' He asked while staring at me With quizzical eyes.
''I was passing by and decided to say hi.'' I replied with a cheerful voice, hoping he wouldn't notice a thing.
''That's thoughtful of you, come have a seat.'' He led the way out of the packaging room and led me to a room which looks like an office because there was a big wooden desk, pilled up with files, a two-seater couch in the middle of the room to receive guests and two seats at each side of the desk.
''Please sit.'' He said those words and walked towards the fridge, opened it and moved his gaze back to me
''What should I get you.''
''Water would be fine.''
''Are you sure.'' He asked
''Yeah, just water.''hearing those words from me, he nodded his head and took out a bottle of water from the fridge and a glass cup.
He walked up to me, sat beside me and poured the water in the glass cup and gave it to me.
''Thanks.'' I took the water from him and slowly drank everything in it
''Do you need more.''
''No, I'm fine.'' I replied with a quick smile.
''Alright.'' He took the cup from me and placed it on the small table in front of us, and fixed his piercing gaze at me
''You are injured.'' He expressed those words like he was so sure of it.
''How did you know.'' I asked in shock
He chuckled softly and drew in a long breath, ''Because I can perceive it on you.'' He said those words while he moves his eyes around me, searching for where I might be injured
''Let me have your left hand.''without saying a word I gave my left hand to him.
He took my left hand and raised it, so he could see my elbow
''Who did this.'' He asked as the color of his eyes changed, indicating he was angry.
''No….one, I fell down accidentally.'' I tried covering up with a lie, but I was awful at it.
''Terrible liar.'' He grumbled and shut the eyes while he took in a deep breath and the injury and pains disappeared.
''Thanks.''
He didn't say a word, but rather I was surprised when he placed his right hand on my left cheek.
''You are freezing.'' He grumbled and placed the other hand on my right cheek.
I closed my eyes and sighed in relief by the warmth coming from his hands.
This was a gift given to werewolf, we live in a freezing pack, but we never felt it because we were given another gift, a gift of warmth, but of course, I never had it.
''Thank you.'' I whispered and flashed him a big smile, which he did not return.
He left his hands on my cheek for a while before he took it off and stood up from the couch, without saying a word to me, he went for the door and opened it.
''You made it yourself'' He asked the worker by the door, who handed a tray of coffee to him.
''Yes sir.''
''Thank you.'' Clinton closed the door and walked towards my direction with a tray of coffee
''Have this, it will help with the cold.'' He handed the small tray of coffee to me
''Thanks.'' I replied and took the tray from him and placed the tray on the table while I picked up the cup and took a long sip of the hot coffee.
''This is good.'' I commended as I took another sip
''The coffee is gotten from our farm, although we don't sell it out.''
''No wonder you guys don't sell it out, the taste is incredible.'' I took another sip and nodded my head
''I'm glad you like it.'' He flashed me a big smile, a smile that flutters my heart.a smile that made me wish I were just like them, a smile that made me wish I could be his mate because he was a perfect example of the kind of man I wanted.
''What are you thinking.'' He asked while his quizzical gaze were fixed on me,
I shrugged my shoulders and dropped the cup of coffee on the small table before me.
''Have you found your mate yet.''
''No, I think she isn't eighteen yet because father said my mate is from this pack and I also have the feelings she is here.'' He responded.
