Derick's POV
I stood by the tree and watched her walked around, and made sure she looked around carefully to see if anyone was around before She left.
When I noticed she was gone, I came out from behind the tree and stared at the tree the rabbit was hidden.
All through my watch, I did not see anything suspicious, then why was she hiding the rabbit here and also sneaking out to see it.
I moved closer to the tree and remembered the name she called it,
''Spanky.'' I called out, but the rabbit did not come out
''Spanky.'' I called out again and this time I heard sounds and the rabbit slowly came out of its hole.
I stood there and watched the rabbit lay on the grass In front of me.
Staring at the rabbit, I could tell there was no evil in it, but I wondered why she hid it here.
Curiously, I Picked up the rabbit and noticed his body was so smooth and comforting. I was not a fan of pet, but this one was totally different.
I carried the rabbit in my arms and noticed it was already asleep in my arms.
Seeing this, I realized there was nothing evil about this rabbit, but then I need to know why she was secretly seeing it.
I walked out of the garden with the rabbit in my arms and walked back to the mansion.
''Get the cook's daughter, Victoria, for me.'' I said those words to one of the servants at the main door before taking the stairs.
I got to my room, lay the sleeping rabbit on the floor while I await her arrival.
Within few minutes I heard a soft knock on the door and without being told I knew it was her because I've already perceived her scent.
''The door is opened.'' I spoke up, and slowly the door opened, and she walked in
''You sent for me alpha…''those words did not finish from her mouth before She noticed the rabbit on the floor.
I saw her eyes widen in fear while she gulped nervously while staring at the rabbit.
''Start talking, I'm a very impatient person.'' I spoke in a low tune, but my anger could be noticed.
The moment I Said those words, I saw her fell on her knees, and placed her head on the floor.
''And what is this meaning of this.'' I spoke in anger
''Forgive me alpha, I have no intention of breaking the rules, but I just couldn't leave it wounded in the wood.'' She begged
Hearing those words from her, I became confused and curious
''And what do you mean by that.''
I noticed her shivered by the sound of my voice before she spoke up
''Few months ago I went into the woods and saw this poor little thing injured and almost at the point of death, I brought it here, but mother asked me to send it away that servants were not allowed to have pets. I wanted to send it away back to the woods, but I just couldn't, so I decided to hide it by the big tree in the garden and feed it secretly.'' She murmured in fear
The moment I heard those words from her everything became clear to me, the whispering of its name and the constantly looking around was just because she doesn't want anyone to know she has a pet.
''Head up.'' I ordered
Slowly she raised her head and met eyes with me, The moment I met eyes with her, I felt an uncomfortable feeling in my chest when I saw her tears filled eyes.
I stared at her, but she gulped and Quickly looked away.
''Get up.'' I ordered
Quickly, she stood up from the floor, but her eyes were lowered to the floor.
''I'm the Alpha of this pack, and it's my duty to protect every living thing here, so I won't send this rabbit away, but you can keep it in the garden.'' She did not let me finish before she cut in
''Thank you alpha.'' She spoke quickly
''I did not ask you to speak.'' I spoke angrily
I hated it, I hated how soft I was going with this girl.
''Take it away and leave.'' Hearing those words from me, she quickly went for the rabbit and picked it up.
Quickly she lowered her head and left the room
I sighed angrily, I aimlessly walked around the room while so many thought went through my Head.
Everything was becoming confusing, at first, I thought she was evil, but seeing the way she showed care and love to this animal I was having my doubts.
Tiredly, I walked around my room and wondered what was going on ,because everything was becoming annoying and confusing.
Tiredly, I took off my jean and underwear, lay on the bed totally naked while I forced myself to sleep
The next morning I was awoken up by a soft knock on my door, angrily I opened my eyes and realized it was morning already.
Tiredly I yawned, totally ignoring the knock on my door, I rubbed my hand on my face tiredly and groaned in anger as the knock kept coming.
''Come in.'' I spoke in irritation,
Slowly the door slightly opened, and she came walking in With a bowl of water in her hands
''Greetings alpha.'' She greeted with her head lowered to the ground. Groaning Angrily, I checked the table clock and realized it was 7am already.
''Mine.' My wolf howled in excitement,
Slowly I moved my eyes to her and noticed she was putting a long sleeve turtleneck dress which was above her knees.
''Beautiful.'' My wolf howled with pleasure, which angered me the more.
''Is the water cold.'' I asked with irritation
''Yes Alpha.''
''Nice voice.''my wolf whimpered to me, but I totally ignored it.
I was about speaking up when I noticed my phone was ringing, tiredly I went for it and realized it was my Beta calling.
''Good morning alpha.'' He greeted the moment the call was picked
''Speak.''
''You have a meeting with the Wolfe at 10am.''hearing those words from him, I groaned with irritation, took out the blanket and stood up from the bed
''Shit.'' I grumbled regretfully when I realized what I just did.
