His Forbidden Soulmate

Chapter 18

Ch. 19 / 44 Oct 20, 2023

Jurius

A tree tumbled down with one punch. I was so angry. I'd decided to kill her and bury her body where no one would find her, but seeing how broken she was, I couldn't. It was too difficult to Instead, I felt a strong urge to protect her, to take away her pain, and to make her happy. I despised it, but I wanted to.

My father must be worried about me. I went for clothes I had hidden under the tree in case of emergency. I was naked; I put it on and went home.

As I arrived home, I saw the entire pack leaving.

"Dad is allowing us to sleep in the forest under a bonfire tonight," Kathara said excitedly.

Being partly wolves, we loved being out in the open, around Mother Nature. I wasn't in the mood to attend this time.

I walked past everyone entering the home, heading upstairs to my room.

"Jurius," I heard my father say.

I didn't stop; I just kept walking.

I slammed my door as I got into my room. I was filled with so much rage. My eyes kept flashing uncontrollably into my wolf's.

"Jurius, open the door." Dad was now knocking on my door.

I stormed over to it, irritated.

"What!" I growled as I opened it.

Dad's eyes widen, surprisingly. I've never growled at him before.

"I'm sorry," I said, trying to control my anger.

Dad entered the room and closed the door, concerned.

I grabbed my hair, unable to control my anger anymore.

"Son, what is wrong?"

"Everything!" I again growled at him.

I couldn't hide my tears from him. I ran around my room, breaking and smashing everything that was in my way.

Dad held me down on the bed.

Son, don't let what's bothering you control you," he instructed.

"I can't fight it anymore, dad," I wept.

"Tell me, and let us fight it together."

I growled loudly, causing it to echo in my room, and I shoved my dad away from me.

"Tell me, my dad growled back using his alpha-commanding voice.

I fell to my knees.

Dad, I'm a disappointment," I kept telling him.

"No, you're not, son; you're the greatest gift I've received," he responded proudly.

"No, I am." I disagreed.

Please, son, tell me what is bothering you."

I grabbed his shirt, ripping it apart. It was difficult to tell him.

"Tell me!" he shouted.

"I have a curse, mate," I finally told him, motioning myself away from him.

Dad looked at me shockingly.

"I'm sorry, dad," I apologized.

He said nothing.

"I tried killing her, but it is so hard." I told him everything. "I even thought about committing suicide to not disgrace you."

"Don't think of such a thing ever again," my dad said, petrified by my lost comment.

He came over to me and took me in his arms.

"You might as well kill me as well, if you had taken your own life."

I hugged him tightly, crying.

"Don't ever think you're a disgrace, son," he told me. "The moon goddess just made a mistake, that's all. We'll just have to fix it together."

"We'll get rid of her together," he informed me.

I nodded.

"Don't let anyone know about her, not even your mom and siblings."

Yes, dad," I retorted.

"Don't worry, son, everything will be okay. Also, I'm sorry that I've been too hard on you."

My eyes closed at his heartwarming words.

I thought my father would be disappointed with me, but I was wrong. He was still proud of me. I wish I'd told him about her on the night of the mating season. I wouldn't be in this situation right now.
