His Forbidden Soulmate

Chapter 41

Ch. 42 / 44 Oct 20, 2023

"It has been the rule for many years that a human and a wolf shifter can never be together. But today we've been amazed by something we thought never existed again. Visit the werewolf council elders tomorrow evening. Probably they will have no choice but to spare your human mate since your title as the alpha of all alpha is far greater than there's," said the one in silver.

And as he walked away, he respectfully gave a nod to both Jurius and his dad.

Jurius quickly brought me inside and placed me in the living room. He was soon returning with an ice pack. I watched him as he sat before me and placed the small ice pack on my forehead. Concerned, his eyes never left my forehead.

I just kept staring into his face, not knowing whether I should be happy for him that his status as a wolf shifter from being a future alpha of his pack changed immensely to become an alpha of all alphas or whether I should be scared of him. He was more powerful, and the mightiness of his growl terrified me more than his father did.

His gaze drops to mine.

"Why are you scared of me?" Jurius asks as he removes the ice pack from my forehead.

I was consumed with silence.

Sometimes I forget the abilities Jurius possesses as a wolf shifter.

"You don't need to. You know I'll never hurt you," Jurius said.

A smile lightened my face. Shortly, Jurius was leaning in for a kiss. His soft lips touched mine, and as he was about to caress them, his father interrupted us.

"Jurius," he called.

Immediately, Jurius was raised from the chair.

His father gave me an angry stare, and immediately I lowered my head.

"We need to talk," he ordered.

"I'll be right back," one of Jurus hands ran across my cheek.

I watched him as he went away with his father.

As much as Jurius's mom couldn't stand me. I wanted to know if his sister was fine. I exited the living room.

"Why did you leave the living room? We don't want your human scent to be all over our precious home." I met Jurius's mom in the hallway.

She was coming down the stairs with a small basin and a napkin. I figured it had been used on her daughter.

"I just wanted to know if your daughter is fine," I say fearfully.

Knowing she was very aggressive and unfriendly, I made sure I kept my distance from her.

She smirked as she watched me back away from her.

"I'm glad that my son is now the alpha of alpha, even though he's too great to be the ruler of this pack now. I just cannot wait for the day when his power is stronger and his wolf will see you're too weak for him." The Luna approached me and stared gravely into my eyes.

I ran for the front door and exited the house.

I love Jurius so much, but I couldn't bear how resentful his parents were to me. I walked across their land, heading into the forest.

"Freya!" I heard Jurius from behind.

I didn't answer, and I ran into tears.

Before I could enter the forest, like lightning, Jurius was right before me.

I was amazed at how fast he was. He, too, was.

Remembering what his mother had said, still upset, I walked around me.

He trailed behind me as I did.

"What did I do to make you so sore?" I heard Jurius from behind.

"It's not you. I'm just so mad at your parents for hating me!" I halted.

My eyes closed as I heard him getting closer to me, and they reopened when I felt him standing before me.

One of his hands extended to wipe away my tears, but I stopped him, holding it firmly in my hand.

Jurius pulled me into his arms and held me firmly against his body, and I let go of his hand.

The other hand wrapped around me.

"Focus on my love for you only and not on my parents approval," he says as he kisses me on the forehead.

"Then how are we going to have a healthy relationship if they hate me? It hurts knowing that they do," I said.

Jurius cupped my face, lifting it to his.

"We'll have a healthy relationship without them, and they eventually will have to come around knowing that they can never stop me from loving you."

I smiled.

"I love it when you're happy," he said.

I smiled even more.

"Remember, there's a possibility that we can be together since I'm now the alpha of alpha. We just have to see the werewolf councils tomorrow," said Jurius.

I nodded, and then we both hugged.

I was no longer worried about the werewolf council since they were no longer a threat to us. Jurius was far too powerful for them. I was now uneasy about what Jurius's mom said.

Will Jurius one day see me as weak and reject me now that he is the alpha of all alphas?
