Freya

The day I was upset with Dolly, and angrily stormed off from school. I didn't go to school the next day. I lied to my grandmother that I felt too sick to attend school. I was too worried to go, knowing that Jurius would see the werewolf councils. I feared that they would never accept Jurius and me being together. I'm glad they did.

Jurius wasn't at school yet, so I looked for Dolly. I needed to apologize to her for how I treated her.

Two of her close friends, Becky and Tamara, were chatting by their lockers.

"Hi. Do you know where I can find Dolly?"

"She's not here yet." Tamara answered.

"Thanks." I walked off.

"Freya." Becky stopped me.

I turned to look at her.

"What is going on between you and Dolly? She's been down since the day you drove off upset." Becky was curious.

"I can't say. But everything will be fine between us pretty soon," I reassured them.

They nodded, and I went to wait in the parking area for Dolly.

I was leaning against a wall when her pink Porsche was driven into the parking area.

I stood straight, waiting for her to exit her vehicle.

She wasn't too happy to see me.

"Dolly," I called as she shut the car's front door.

"I can't believe you thought I was the one who spread the news that you and Jurius were seeing each other," she vented.

"I know. That's why I'm here to apologize, and I hope that you can forgive me." I went over to her and held one of her hands.

"You were a good friend to me from the first day I came here. You made me feel welcome, and I don't want to lose you," I confessed.

Dolly was touched by my comment and hugged me. I returned her hug, happy that she had forgiven me.

"I'm not going to easily forgive you." Dolly stood straight as she stopped to hug me.

"What do I have to do to make you?" I asked.

"If you say you'll come to the championship after party."

"Of course, I will," I said.

Dolly jumped excitedly.

"Your hot boyfriend is here," Dolly said with a smirk.

My attention shifted from her, and I felt my heart skip a beat seeing Jurius. He was just exiting his vehicle, parked as usual under the tree.

As I gazed at him, everything became motionless around me except for him as he walked over to me.

Everything went back to normal as he greeted Dolly, and my cheek was burning with redness when he kissed me on the forehead.

"I missed you." His lips left my forehead.

Dolly was very intrigued by what was happening.

"I'll see you around, Freya." Dolly gave us space as Jurius reached for my right hand.

"Okay," I answered.

"Good bye, Jurius," she said as she walked.

Everyone was staring at us as they walked past us.

Jurius paid none of them any mind; his eyes were fixed on me at all times.

"So, will you be my date at the championship after party?" he asked, causing my attention to focus on him only.

"Of course, I will." I smiled.

At lunchtime, I sat with Jurius and his pack members. I was so nervous, but Jurius gently touched my back and took it all away.

After school, Jurius walked me to my car and helped open my door.

His head lowered to speak to me. "What if I become your personal driver to school?" he insisted.

"I would love that." I brought his lips to mine, kissing him.

Things were now going well for me, and I thought about putting behind me the issues I had with my mom. After dinner, I called her.

"Hello, mom." She answered the phone.

She sounded surprised to find out it was me.

"Hi, Freya. Are you okay?" she asked.

"I am fine. I just wanted to know if you are okay as well."

She was speechless at my comment.

"Mom. I want things to go well between us." I break the silence over the phone.

"Me, too," she agreed.

"You can stop by sometimes, and we can go shopping by having a girl's day," I suggested.

"Yeah, that would be fun."

"Emily." I heard Jack calling her.

"I'm coming." She retorted.

"I love you, Mom," I said before ending our phone call.

It felt strange and good at the same time to tell her so, for I've not done so in a long while.

"I love you too, Hun." I heard tears of happiness in her words.

The phone hung up, and I smiled.

Jurius had been so busy preparing for the championship game that we could barely find any time together. Dolly and her friends accompany me while I shop for a dress. They already bought theirs, and I was glad they decided to join me. They helped me choose the best dress. I didn't need any heels because I already had one. We finish the shopping by buying a red lipstick that goes along with my red flowy dress.

"Jurius is going to be starstruck when he sees you in that dress," said Dolly.

He was when he picked me up at my house the evening after the game. He was handsomely dressed in a black tuxedo and shiny black leather shoes. My grandmother and grandaunt were surprised to see him when he picked me up. I've never told them about him.

"You look beautiful." Jurius gave me a white corsage that matched my shoes.

"How did you know the right color to buy?" I noticed that it matched my shoe.

"You're my soulmate, remember?" He spoke telepathically to me as Zoey and Zara watched us.

Before we left, they took a picture with us. Jurius held my hand as we drove to the party, never letting it go, not even for a second.

The party was beautifully decorated. We danced to slow love music while we stared into each other's eyes. I would sometimes smile shyly, causing Jurius to beam back at me. It was the most wonderful moment.

"Let's get out of here," Jurius whispered in my ears.

We left the party and drove off. Jurius took me to his favorite spot. A hill where we could sit in the grass and look down at the sea. I sat in his lap, his arms wrapped around me, and we enjoyed the beauty of the stars together.

"I've never imagined that I would one day find my happiness," I said.

Jurius positioned my face next to his.

"I'm glad that you have it with me," he said.

We kissed, and my head rested on his chest, and he held me tighter into his arms. There was nothing I could wish for now, for he was everything I needed.

That night, I could tell of a future with him, and it was pure joy.
