Freya
Time flies by so fast when you're spending time with someone you're madly in love with.
Jurius and I sat down on the grass, and his arms were wrapped around me while I lay on his chest.
"I wish we didn't have to leave now," he said, holding me tighter in his arms.
"Me too," I said softly as my head lifted to his.
I smiled and my eyes closed as he kissed my forehead, and as he did, the pain of being separated from him once more arose inside my heart. My head went to my left breast as I now felt one of Jurius's arms resting on my heart, as if he had felt the pain as well, and my gaze steadily went back to him.
"I hate being away from you as well, he confessed. I wish you could dwell with me along with the pack, so I could always be with you, even when you are asleep."
"I wish I was a wolf shifter," I now yearned to be, and then I would always be by his side.
"Don't say that!" Jurius detested what I had said.
"I wish nothing else of you, for you are the perfect mate for me," he told me.
Tears filled my eyes at his heartwarming comment.
We heard the bell ring, and Jurius helped me up as he did. He helped me wipe away my tears.
"Go; Dolly is searching for you," he said.
"Will I see you after school?" I asked.
Before he could answer, his brother came to us. Jurius's attention shifted to him, and I saw concern in his beautiful brown eyes.
"You have to go now, Freya. It's not safe being next to me now," he told me.
I hugged him in my arms and ran around the school. When I was walking to my third class, I met Dolly along the way.
"Where were you?" she asked. Her attention was focused on me.
I felt awkward with her stare, and my head turned away.
"I was not feeling too well, so I went to the nurse," I told her.
"Let's get to class before we're late." I said I was walking away, but momentarily I was forced to stop.
"Then why didn't I see you at the nurse when I went there?" she asked, standing behind me.
I pondered what else to tell her.
"I was in the bathroom for a while before I went there; probably that's why you didn't see me."
She said nothing, and I was glad she had fallen for my lies.
I waited for her as she came to my side so we could both enter the class together, but yet again she alarmed me with another question.
"Were you having a good time with that anonymous male in the bathroom?" she asked.
My eyes dilated as I looked at her.
"I'm someone who doesn't meddle in anyone's business, but I don't remember seeing you this morning with a hickey on your neck," Dolly said as she kept staring at my neck.
I flinched and quickly hid my neck with my hair.
"Here, your hair won't be able to hide it for too long," Dolly said as she handed me her face powder.
Without hesitation, I took it and went into the girls' bathroom. I locked myself in the toilet area and looked at the hickey within the small, round mirror of the face powder. A finger traced the redness on my neck; it was large. I covered it with powder.
When I left the bathroom, Dolly was there waiting for me. I felt bad that I had lied to her as I gave her back her face powder.
"Now who is the male you skipped lunch with me to see?" She was curious to know.
"Sorry, I can't tell you," I said as I walked away.
"I bet he's Jurius." I heard her, and immediately I stopped.
As I was about to lie to her again, I was left speechless.
"I noticed the way he was staring at you with puppy eyes this morning, so it appears to be him," Dolly reveals.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone," I begged her.
"I swear I won't," she said.
I didn't know why I believed her, but I did, probably because I was afraid not to.
"I can't believe you are with the hottest guy in the school," she said excitedly.
"How did you get him to notice you?" she asked.
I gave her a grave stare as we both walked to class.
"Sorry if a girl is curious to know how to get a hot guy," said Dolly, disappointed.
After the departure Jurius and I had, I couldn't wait to see him after school ended.
Thankfully, Dolly and I weren't in the same final class, so she could not watch me. As soon as class was over, I was the first one to leave. I walked along the corridor looking for Jurius, but I didn't see him. I went to put my math textbook into my locker, hoping I would see him when I got outside. As I opened my locker, I saw a small note dropped from my locker.
I'll see you in your room, Jurius wrote.
I locked the locker and immediately left the school, going straight to my car.
As I got into my car, I heard Dolly calling me.
"I can't talk to you right now; I need to get home!" I shrieked.
"Okay, see you tomorrow!" she shrieked back.
I wasn't into fast driving, but that evening I sped home, and when I did, I was surprised to see my mom's car outside.
