Gloria felt Patrick's shoulders tremble slightly. She closed her eyes to hide the pain in her eyes.
Suddenly, Patrick printed his lips on hers. She was surprised and struggled to push him away.
Patrick whispered in her ear, "Gloria, I have that strange feeling again."
Patrick grabbed her hand and put it over his heart.
She felt suffocated and heartbroken. In the end, she was defeated again.
Whether he was stupid or smart, whether he forgot everything or not, she had never won.
Gloria gave up struggling and stopped pushing Patrick away. She closed her eyes and allowed him to continue kissing her.
"Are you feeling better?" She asked.
"Gloria, I'll be with you for the rest of my life," Patrick repeated seriously.
Gloria met his deep eyes. Her smile was bright, which held him spellbound.
She suddenly asked, "Do you want to go to the amusement park?"
Patrick's eyes lit up. "Really?"
Gloria nodded. "Let's take the Ferris wheel tonight and make a wish under the stars."
"Great!" Patrick was overjoyed.
As night fell, Gloria bought tickets at the amusement park. On the Ferris wheel, she said, "The sky is full of stars. Does it feel like a fairy tale?"
Patrick laughed like a child. He held her hand, his eyes filled with joy. "Wish Gloria a happy life."
Gloria smiled and looked out the window. It was foggy.
That night, they came back late.
The next day, when Gloria woke up, the steaming breakfast was placed on the table in the living room.
She went to work as usual.
She drove into the underground parking lot of the Carter Group.
Gloria pushed the door open and went straight to the elevator. When she walked past a car, the door suddenly rolled down. The driver took off his sunglasses and looked at her.
Gloria stopped and asked him, "Are you waiting for me?"
"Miss Carter, do you still remember me?" Ellison sneered.
Gloria knew that Ellison was mocking her, not asking if she knew him.
Since she was clear about his intentions, she answered in the most direct way.
"Ellison, stop making fun of me. Since you waited for me in the parking lot early in the morning, just get straight to the point."
Ellison raised his eyebrow and felt a little bored. "Gloria, you don't want to waste your time, so you'd like to chase me away?"
Gloria's lips curled up slightly.
Ellison didn't beat around the bush. "He's with you, right?"
Although it was a question, he raised it with a certain tone.
Gloria narrowed her eyes. "Who are you referring to?"
Ellison said coldly, "You told me not to beat around the bush, but you did it. You know who I am talking about. Patrick is with you, right?"
Gloria pondered calmly for a moment and then suddenly raised her head. "Ellison, you seem to be concerned about my whereabouts. Have you been watching me secretly? Should I thank you for your concern?"
Obviously, Ellison was sure about the answer to his question, so there was no need to fool him.
Gloria raced her mind and thought through the entire matter quickly.
"Don't you doubt it?" Ellison suddenly said.
Gloria was a little stunned. "About what?"
Ellison put on a mocking smile. "Do you believe that he really lost his memory?"
His hawk-like eyes were fixed on Gloria.
He didn't intend to miss any of her subtle expressions.
"What do you want to say?" Gloria turned her face away.
Ellison smirked. "Do you dare to come with me? You will see everything by yourself."
Then, he grabbed Gloria's arm and pulled her into his car.
"Let me go. I don't have time for this." Gloria struggled.
Ellison drove his car and didn't stop for even a minute.
"Follow me. You will see the truth," Ellison said. "Or do you want to live in deception?"
Gloria gritted her teeth.
The car drove into the building of the Hammond Group.
Ellison opened the car door and got out of the car. He walked around it and opened the door to Gloria.
Seeing that Gloria did not get out of the car for a long time, he teased. "I don't mind carrying you out of the car."
Gloria glanced at Ellison. Ellison had an impulse to give up on his plan. He suppressed his thoughts, and a mocking smile appeared on his handsome face. "Let's go."
Gloria got out of the car indifferently.
"Now that you are here, don't try to run away." Ellison walked in front and teased Gloria behind him.
"You went through so much trouble blocking me in the parking lot. How could you let me leave so easily?" Gloria said calmly and followed behind Ellison.
They went into the elevator. Ellison looked Gloria up and down seriously. He almost forgot when he had a chance to look at her so close last time.
It had been a long time.
The elevator door opened, but Ellison did not look away.
"How long do you plan to stare at me?" Gloria raised her eyebrows and asked softly.
Only then did Ellison realize that the elevator doors had opened.
Gloria was about to step out of the elevator.
Ellison reached out and grabbed her. "Aren't you curious about why I took you here?"
"No matter what your intentions are, can I still slip away under your nose?" Gloria looked at him coldly.
The mockery in her eyes made Ellison shrink, but he could not regret it anymore. "Then, this way, please."

Gloria had been to Hammond Group many times, and she was as familiar with it as her home.
Today, the road to the meeting room seemed to be long.
"Aren't you going in?" Ellison stood behind Gloria, who stopped at the door of the conference room.
Ellison could tell her hesitation.
"Shall I help you?" Ellison said with a smile. He stretched out his hand toward the door.
As soon as he grabbed the doorknob, the door was pulled open by someone inside.
At that moment, time seemed to stop.
Gloria looked at Patrick from outside the door.
And Patrick looked at her inside the room. None of them said anything.
Gloria noticed the surprise on his pale face, as well as his panicked eyes.
