"Don't move. I just want to look at you," Patrick whispered. Gloria only felt that it was strange. When did he learn to be gentle?
When she raised her eyes to look at him, she was seized by his eyes. His eyes were like black holes as if swallowing her up. Intense affection seemed to be about to burst out of his eyes in a second.
She had never experienced this before.
She had never seen Patrick like this before.
Before she ran out of patience, he released her.
He took a step back, took out a piece of paper from his pocket, and handed it to her. "Don't you want to leave? I'll let you go."
She took the paper and found it was a divorce agreement.
As her gaze slid down, Patrick had already signed his name.
For a moment, she became even more confused.
He had done everything he could to force her to be with him, but now he had taken out the divorce agreement.
She didn't understand.
Gloria looked at Patrick, her eyes full of confusion.
His eyes became icy and were no longer as gentle as before. His thin lips curled coldly. "Don't forget who I am."
Patrick said frostily, "I don't want a mad woman who wants to kill herself. The way you burned yourself was so ugly that it made me sick. Gloria, sign it. I'm tired of this game."
He said indifferently, but his words pierced her heart.
She pretended not to care, yet her eyes were red. He said he was tired of this game.
"You are never meant to be the Luna of the Black Thorn Pack," he said. "I'm already tired of you."
She should have been happy, but she was trembling all over.
She did not know whether she was happy, sad, or relieved.
She was puzzled about her emotions now.
"Gloria, you are still so easily affected by me. When I talked to you about the past, you were brought back to the past. Look, when I said that I ate the chocolate given by you and had acute gastroenteritis, you believed it. When I said that I knew that you were the one who had secretly kissed me under the tree, you were emotional. Why didn't you think about it? If you were the person I wanted, how would I have never responded after you had secretly kissed me?"
The corners of his lips curled up coldly. "That was because I never cared about you or wanted you. I was just so bored and was fooling around with you, so I kept you by my side. Yet I am tired of you now."
Her face and lips gradually turned pale.
She walked to the living room, picked up a pen, and signed her name.
Patrick's voice immediately sounded behind her after she signed. "Guards, help Miss Carter pack her luggage and escort her to leave."
She trembled slightly. He was so impatient.
Gloria closed her eyes. She should be happy, so she slowly smiled.
"Wait." After her luggage was packed, Patrick suddenly stopped her. "Open her luggage and check if there is anything that doesn't belong to her."
She was shaking with anger. She told herself that she was going to be free and could leave this damn place immediately. She could return to her normal life.
She sneered, "Alpha Patrick, take a good look. Did I take anything that doesn't belong to me?"
Patrick gave a contemptuous glance and snorted, "You'd better not. You can leave now."
Being humiliated like this, Gloria bit her lip and held back her sadness.
She told herself that as long as she could leave, nothing else was important. Did she not suffer enough?
She thought, 'Isn't this what I always want?'
Now, she could finally escape from this person and all of this.
She pulled her luggage and stepped out of the villa.
Someone was watching her leave behind her.
Patrick quietly clenched his hands.
Hank walked over. "Alpha Patrick, let's go back to the hospital."
"OK."
Gloria walked out of the iron gate of Black Thorn Villa. A black Bentley passed by her and drove away without stopping.
She stopped and watched the car drive away and finally disappeared from her sight.
When the cold wind blew, she shrank back and hugged herself gently.
"Congratulations, Gloria. You have fulfilled your wish," she whispered to herself. "That's great. There is no more entanglement between us."
From now on, her heart would not ache, and she wouldn't fall for him.
Meanwhile, Ellison rushed to Alex. "You were the one who made that order, weren't you?"
"I'm your grandpa. Did you come here just to talk to me like this?" Alex put down the teacup in his hand, and his face darkened.
"You were the one who ordered Damon to do that, right? Otherwise, Damon wouldn't have dared to do that, right?" Ellison quickly said.
"What do you mean?"
"You were the one behind Gloria's car accident. Am I right?" Ellison was exasperated.
Hearing Gloria's name, Alex sulked. "What? You want to go against me for her?"
"So you admit it." Ellison clenched his fists, his entire body trembling in anger. "How did she offend you?"
"She offended me in every way."
"She's just a woman. How could she offend you? You've watched her grow up. Why do you hate her so much? Why do you always try to hurt her?" Ellison did not understand why Alex had done that.
"Did I?"
"Back then, you plotted against her in Gabrielle's matter. You can't deny it. And you instructed Damon to do that. I don't know how she offended you. Why do you keep making trouble for her?" Ellison shouted angrily.
Alex was enraged. He smashed the cup in his hand. "How did she offend me? Are you all blinded by her? I should have destroyed her face so that she couldn't seduce Patrick."
"How could you say such words?" Ellison could not believe what he had heard.
"Am I wrong? Both of you turned against me because of this woman. She is a scourge. I should have thrown her into the deep forest when she was a baby. If so, you wouldn't have gone against me after decades." Alex's face was filled with anger.
"What do you mean?" Ellison suddenly caught the main point. "What are you talking about?"
Alex laughed coldly, "That's not important. What's important is that both of you are obsessed with her. The Hammonds should be ruthless and tough. We should not be bound by women."
"Is this what you want?" Ellison couldn't believe his ears.
"Yes, that's what I want. You both ignore the pack and pursue her." Alex scowled. "She won't be able to escape."
Ellison gasped, "What else do you want to do?"
"What else do I want to do? The Hammonds are not allowed to lose themselves because of women," Alex said stubbornly.
Ellison was furious and anxious, but he had no way to deal with Alex.
Ellison trembled with anger. After a long while, he released his clenched fists. "From now on, I won't contact her again. And you will stay away from her."
Alex wanted to refuse. He glanced at the pleading in Ellison's eyes and pursed his lips. "OK. Patrick is hopeless. If you don't care about her anymore, I promise I won't do anything else to her."
Ellison looked deeply at Alex and made up his mind. "Keep your word."
"I always keep my word."
Ellison nodded. "This is the last time. If I do what you want me to and you still harm her, you will be alone for the rest of your life."
Ellison had a showdown with Alex.
A trace of unhappiness appeared in Alex's eyes, but he nodded. "Okay."
