Smoke came out from the gap in the door.
Instantly, Hank's expression changed. He shook off Mandy, who was pulling him, took out his key, and opened the door. "Luna Gloria! What is going on?"
Before he finished speaking, he choked on the thick smoke and coughed violently.
Mandy rushed in. "Gloria, don't scare me! Don't tell me that you want to kill yourself!"
Unfortunately, the smoke was too thick, and the flames were everywhere.
Hank immediately called the police and tried to rush in.
A figure passed him quickly and rushed in.
In the blink of an eye, the figure had already rushed into the thick smoke.
"Alpha Patrick! You can't go inside!
"It's too dangerous!"
Hank shouted, but Patrick turned a deaf ear. He looked around the room through the smoke, but Gloria was nowhere to be seen.
He immediately rushed to the bedroom door, but the door could not be opened.
"Gloria! Open the door! Gloria! Open the door!"
He slammed the door with all his might, yet there was no response. He then slammed the door with his body, but there was something behind the door.
Patrick was so anxious that he was about to go mad.
Hank poured some water over his body, rushed to the living room and then the balcony, and opened all the windows.
Thick smoke flew out, and the visibility in the room gradually improved, but the flames were still spreading. Ignoring everything else, Hank rushed to the sink, turned the faucet to full blast, and looked at the stunned Mandy. "Don't just stand there! Put out the fire!"
Fortunately, the apartment's dampness prevented the fire from getting out of hand. Also, for the same reason, things such as the curtains and carpet were set on fire, but only puffs of smoke came out.
It was the silver lining.
The fire in the living room was manageable, but it was a different case when it came to the bedroom.
If Gloria didn't open the door, no one could enter.
Fortunately, the police arrived soon.
"The door can't be knocked open."
"Use the windows."
Patrick was stunned. In an instant, he felt despair. "The windows are barred."
At this precise moment, he was extremely regretful.
"Gloria! Open the door!" He kept smashing the door with his body. "Open the door! Please! I am begging you. Just open the door. Gloria, Harry is fine. He has undergone a bone marrow transplant already. You don't need to worry about him, and he will be fine. Open the door!"
There was no response at all.
"Gloria, I'm not lying. I have found someone to donate bone marrow to Harry. I will take you to him now. Open the door.
"Damon has been brought to justice.
"I already know what happened six years ago. You are innocent. You shouldn't be blamed for Gabrielle's death. I know everything! I was wrong. Gloria, open the door!"
Patrick smashed the door desperately. He had never been so afraid. He was afraid that she would vanish like smoke, and he would never get to see her again.
He kept talking. He didn't know what he was talking about. He just hoped that Gloria would open the door.
A crane was set up outside the window, and the firefighters confirmed that the person in the room was still alive. She was sitting on the dressing table behind the door that she pushed over to block the door. The fire began in the wooden bed, and it was approaching her.
If they smashed the door open, Gloria, who was sitting on the dressing table blocking the bedroom door, would probably be pushed into the fire.
But obviously, they couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
They smashed open the window and could only put out the fire before anything.
They aimed the water cannons at the wooden bed in the room, which was most intensely burned.
Outside the door, Patrick didn't dare to delay for even a second. His heart sank deeper and deeper with every minute that passed.
"Gloria, Harry is fine. I already know the truth about what happened six years ago. I should be blamed for your three years in prison. Come out, OK? As long as you come out, I will go to prison for three years. Whatever makes you happy. Just come out, and I'll be behind bars right away. Please, come out, alright?"
Behind the door, Gloria leaned against the door and smiled mockingly. Things that happened in the past had ruined her life.
Patrick, who was outside the door, didn't dare to hit the door, for fear that she might be pushed into the fire once the door was open.
The water cannons burst through the windows, and water was poured into the bedroom.
The flames were being put out.
Gloria moved. The clothes in the wardrobe were casually placed on the dressing table. If she lit the lighter in her hand, who knew what would happen?
The firefighters immediately told Patrick about the situation.
Patrick was completely flustered. "Gloria, don't! Nothing can happen to you. I love you, Gloria!"
When he finished his words, he and Hank used all their might to smash the door of the bedroom.
They must succeed in this strike!
The fire in the bedroom had almost been extinguished.
They wouldn't give Gloria another chance to light the fire again. It was a desperate try.
The door was smashed open, and Patrick rushed in at once. He reached out and held Gloria tightly in his arms. Right now, his entire body was trembling. "Gloria, I'm so glad that you're OK."
He thought, 'Thank you, Moon Goddess!
Everything has returned to peace now.'
Hank's expression changed. "Alpha Patrick!"
Patrick, handsome and strong, fell to the ground, unconscious in the mess.
Gloria was shocked and subconsciously stretched out her hands.
Hank ran over and pushed her away. He took his phone and called, "Sean, Alpha Patrick suddenly fainted. I'll drive him to the hospital now."
Hank picked up Patrick and walked out with some difficulty.
Then he suddenly stopped and said, "Luna Gloria, don't do anything stupid again."
As he spoke, he picked up his phone and called the pack guards. "Come up here and protect Luna Gloria."
In fact, he restricted her freedom again.
But this time, Gloria clenched her fists and stood there, watching Hank leave with Patrick. From beginning to end, her gaze never left Patrick.
There was a complicated and indescribable pain in her eyes.
Finally, they left. She closed her eyes.
She thought, 'From now on, I will stay number to anything and anyone. I will no longer feel love or hate.
Forgetting is the best ending for me.
The only thing I can do to resist is to guard my heart and stop anyone from bringing me pain.'
For three consecutive days, Patrick never stepped into the villa again.
The pack guards stood at the door, one on the left and one on the right, expressionless.
Her apartment was ruined, and she had no choice but to step into the Black Thorn Pack's Alpha's villa again. Everything here had been arranged properly.
But she had no one to talk to.
She even felt that she no longer needed her ears or her mouth.
She knew some of the servants in the villa, and some of them were new here. Yet when they saw her, they would always nod respectfully and steer clear of her.
She could only admire the blooming flowers in the yard.
There was no one she could talk to, not even animals.
She suddenly remembered that Patrick had once told her that he could only talk to the fish pond when he was lonely.
But that was nothing but a lie.
