Camille trembled. She grabbed Alger's wrist tightly, and the veins on the back of her fair hand were visible. There was a trace of reluctance in her eyes. She said with a trembling voice, "Alger, are we really going to do this? Gloria is our daughter!"
"Do you think I want to do this?" Alger grabbed his hair in frustration and roared impatiently, "What else can I do? Gloria is also my daughter. If not for the fact that I had no other choice, how could I be so ruthless?"

In the hospital, Alex had yet to come out of the emergency room. Patrick was waiting at the door and felt somewhat uneasy.

He looked at the door and asked Richard, "How did my grandfather pass out?"
"Alpha Alex suddenly fainted," Richard couldn't come up with something new.
Suddenly, the door opened. Patrick reached out to stop the doctor and asked, "How is my grandfather now?"
The doctor did not expect someone to stop him. He opened his mouth in surprise and was about to speak.
"Alpha Alex is Alpha Patrick's grandfather. You must do your best," Richard cut in.
The doctor hesitated for a moment. He then said that Alex's current condition was still unstable and needed further checking.
Patrick did not speak and made way. Meanwhile, he mind linked Sean and said to Richard, "Sean is also a doctor. I can only be at ease with him here."
Richard's heart skipped a beat. He raised his head and didn't know what to say to stop Patrick.
Patrick contacted Sean.
"Sean, come to the hospital immediately. My grandfather has passed out and is in the emergency room now. I need you here now," Patrick said as he looked at Richard.
Richard heard Patrick's last sentence, and his expression turned gloomy. It was as if Alex was about to die.
Sean looked baffled. From Patrick's tone, Alex didn't seem to be in trouble.
"Patrick, don't make such a joke," Sean complained.
Patrick sneered at Richard's darkening expression.
He ended the mink link with Sean. The uneasiness in his heart grew stronger, and his wolf began to be restless.
He looked at the door of the emergency room again. If Alex was not seriously ill, what was the uneasiness in his heart from?
In the next moment, Patrick's expression changed. He immediately mind linked Kevin. "How is Gloria today?"
"Luna Gloria went to the Silver Spring Pack." Kevin was puzzled.
Patrick frowned and questioned, "Why didn't you tell me such an important thing?"
Kevin was stunned. He said strangely, "Didn't Luna Gloria call you?"
Kevin's words shocked him. Patrick's heart was a mess. He had never received Gloria's call today.
Without saying anything else, he ended the mind link with Kevin and dialed Gloria's number, but no one answered the phone.
Patrick frowned and called Alger.
It didn't take long for the call to be connected. Alger asked, "Alpha Patrick?"
"Alger, is Gloria with you?" Patrick didn't want to waste any more time chatting with Alger. The most important thing right now was to confirm Gloria's whereabouts and safety.
"Gloria?" Alger asked in surprise. "Gloria came earlier in the day, but she left already."
Patrick pondered for a moment and then asked, "How long has she been gone? Did she leave alone?"
"She just left, around ten minutes ago. Christine drove the car, and she left with Gloria. Alpha Patrick, what happened? Did something happen to Gloria?" Alger stood up and asked Patrick nervously and worriedly.
Patrick's eyes darkened. He said politely, "Alpha Alger, sorry to disturb you."
Patrick hung up the phone and immediately mind linked Christine.
His expression turned serious because he couldn't reach Christine.
He frowned because this had never happened from the first day Christine worked for him.
Patrick released his cold aura, turning around and approaching Richard. He suppressed his anger and roared, "What does my grandfather want?"
Just now, when Patrick was on the phone, Richard had heard part of their conversation and could guess what had happened.
"Alpha Patrick, what do you mean?" Richard asked with a puzzled expression.
Patrick sneered. He said, "What a coincidence that my grandfather fell ill at such a time."
Richard's expression changed. He said angrily, "Alpha Patrick, how can you say that?"
Patrick didn't want to argue with Richard. He had more important things to do now. He narrowed his eyes and asked, "Where is she?"
"Alpha Patrick, who are you referring to?" Richard asked.
"Are you still going to pretend to know nothing?" Patrick stared at Richard coldly. He said angrily, "Tell me. What did my grandfather do to her?"
"Alpha Patrick, you misunderstood Alpha Alex. He's still in the emergency room!" Richard insisted.
"What a coincidence. Right after he fell ill, something happened to Gloria." Patrick sneered.
"So, Alpha Patrick, you are worried about Ms. Carter. Didn't Alpha Alger just tell you that she had just left Silver Spring Pack? She should be on her way back to Black Thorn Pack," Richard bowed and replied.
