Gloria had been living with her grandfather, while Harry preferred to stay with her parents.
Once, her grandfather gave her a ruby. She was happy as she liked shiny things very much. She held the ruby and looked at it under the sun. Harry wanted to snatch it and was pushed away. She didn't use much strength, but Harry fell to the ground.
The maid saw it and said to her, "You are an ill-bred child without parents. How can you push Harry?"
Gloria was stunned. She didn't understand why the maid said so.
She asked the maid on the spot, "I have Daddy and Mommy. Why do you say that?"
The maid was also stunned. She curled her lips and said, "You have always stayed with your grandfather and are not close to Alpha Alger and Luna Camille. I was worried when I saw Harry fall to the ground and say something stupid. Gloria, don't tell your grandfather about it, okay?"
At that time, Gloria was young, so she believed the maid's words.
Now, because of Damon's words, she curled up her toes and felt as if her right foot was burning in pain.
"Besides the mole, is there other evidence to prove that Gabrielle is not your sister?" Gloria asked anxiously.
After all, Gloria wasn't the only person who had a mole on the sole of her feet.
Damon was about to speak when a strange noise suddenly sounded.
"Who's there?" Damon's entire body tensed up, and he looked around vigilantly. Although he had yet to discover anything unusual, the noise had alerted him.
Damon was worried that something would happen. His expression changed as he said to Gloria, "I can't talk to you anymore! If I can't live, you won't live either! I'll send you to see Gabrielle now!"
Damon began to shift.
His canine teeth appeared, his arms became strong, and his muscles tore his clothes apart.
"Stop!" It was Christine's voice.
It turned out that Christine had been hiding in the warehouse. She never expected that Damon would be so vigilant. She made a little noise accidentally, and he immediately prepared to attack.
Christine sent her location to Patrick secretly before she came out.
"Christine?" Gloria shouted, "Run!"
"Don't be silly." Christine shook her head. "I can't escape Alpha Patrick's punishment even if I leave now."
"I'm sorry. I got you into this." Gloria blamed herself.
"I decided to chase after you. If I wanted to leave, I wouldn't have come," Christine comforted Gloria.
"So, you are Christine, Alpha Patrick's subordinate!" Damon shouted angrily, "Well, it has nothing to do with you. Since you are here for this bitch, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
"You are really talkative. I heard everything about your scandal, and you want to kill me because you are afraid that I will tell others about it," Christine retorted and sneered.
Damon's face turned ashen. He said fiercely, "Anyway, you will die today. So, I don't care what you've heard?"
"You madman! It was a grudge within your family, yet you got someone else involved and even blamed it on her! You are the same vicious as Gabrielle, and she should be your sister! Back then, Gabrielle wanted to humiliate Gloria, but in the end, she suffered instead. Today, you blamed Gloria for killing your sister. You are as selfish and cold-blooded as Gabrielle!" Christine exposed Damon's self-deceiving thoughts.
"Shut up!" Damon shouted hysterically.
"Why would I shut up? You did such a terrible thing. Why can't I say it?" Christine sneered and enraged Damon.
While Christine was mocking Damon, Gloria gradually calmed down. She looked thoughtfully at Christine, who kept provoking Damon and understood that Christine was stalling him.
She looked toward the large iron gate.
Christine mind linked Patrick while he was in the car. He picked it up, yet Christine whispered an address and then ended it.
Apart from that, Christine didn't say anything else. Patrick knew that Christine and Gloria were in danger.
He ordered the driver to head for the address as fast as possible. Nothing could stop him from saving Gloria!
The address that Christine told him was the location of an old warehouse at the border of the Black Thorn Pack not far away. Very few people would go there, and it was a good hiding place.
Patrick prayed to the Moon Goddess. He hoped that Gloria and Christine could hold on and wait for him to rescue them.
In the warehouse, Christine managed to enrage Damon. Damon was furious and quarreled with Christine.
The sound of sudden braking came from outside. It was harsh, and the three people inside heard it clearly.
Christine's red lips slowly curled up and glanced at Damon. She sat down calmly and stopped squabbling with Damon.
Damon regained his senses. He asked, "What did you do?"
"Make a guess. I bet you know it already." Christine admired her pretty nails from a manicure.
"Were you stalling?" Damon asked. He got the answer as soon as he finished asking.
He did not have time to say anything more to Christine. He held a dagger in his hand and rushed toward Gloria, who was tied to a crooked chair. He scolded her through gritted teeth, "Die with me! You bitch!"
Christine's face changed greatly. Patrick was outside, yet she did not expect that Damon would still dare to kill Gloria!
She took action before she could think further. The moment she saw Damon rushing out, she ran in the same direction immediately. "Don't touch her!"
Christine's exquisite makeup was completely ruined. She cared about nothing but protecting Gloria from getting hurt.
She grabbed Damon's arm, which had turned into a claw from behind and shouted, "Calm down, Damon!"
"Get lost!" Damon raised his leg and kicked Christine's belly hard. Gloria heard the dull sound of something hitting a heavy object.
Christine's eyes widened. The huge pain made her unable to shift. However, she still held Damon's arm tightly, the veins on the back of her hand bulging.
Damon was anxious and wanted to kick Christine again. Gloria's heart beat faster because she saw the sharp nails made of silver on Damon's shoes. She leaned aside and fell to the ground with the chair. She blocked in front of Christine, and Damon kicked her on the shoulder.
"Gloria!" Christine was stunned. She endured the pain and said, "You are such a fool!"
"Christine, the real fool is you." Gloria looked at Christine and said, "You and I were just strangers at first. Later, I was your employee. No boss would protect his employees like you."
"Well, since you are so grateful to each other, I will let you die together!" Damon shouted. He raised the dagger made of silver and stabbed it toward Gloria's neck mercilessly!
