Sean copied the video clips from the flash drive into his laptop. Just as Sean was about to click it open, Stewart touched the back of Sean's hand and gave him a heads-up. "It can be hard to watch, be prepared."
Sean didn't take it seriously at first. Suddenly, his eyes widened. He exclaimed, "What the hell?"
He pointed at the video that was playing.
"This is just the beginning," Stewart said indifferently.
Sean shut up. The room seemed to be consumed by silence. Time ticked away slowly before they finished watching the video clips.
Finally, the computer screen shut down.
Sean's heart was beating rapidly.
Sean reached out to take the cigarette from Stewart. After spitting out a large puff of smoke, he leaned against the back of the chair and said, "It should be destroyed."
Stewart's hand trembled while he was holding the cigarette. He refused. "I'm afraid not."
"We can't let him see it. He will go crazy." Sean felt like he was about to lose his mind.
"Why do you think I spent so much time and effort on these video clips? Don't tell me you have forgotten whose mate Gloria is," Stewart said in a mocking tone, "When Patrick came to me, he was desperate to spend his limited time searching for Gloria. I didn't expect that it would last three years, but I never thought of giving up. Sean, do you know why?"
Stewart didn't continue. He took out another cigarette from the box and lit it. He lowered his eyes and stared at Sean's face. He continued, "Because I have never seen Patrick begging anyone for anything."
He pulled out the flash drive from Sean's laptop and said, "I have been looking for those video clips for three years. Now that I have got them, Gloria will show up soon, right?"
Sean found it hard to answer. Patrick had been looking for Gloria for three years. Meanwhile, Stewart had been searching for those videos.
Stewart wouldn't simply give up because of Sean's words.
"Are you really going to show the video clips to Patrick?" Sean looked up. He couldn't see Stewart's expression, but he saw him nodding at him.
Sean suddenly stood up and said, "Okay, I'll go with you."
They walked towards Patrick's villa.
In the study of Patrick's villa, the three were staring at the screen. Sean and Stewart were leaning against the corner of the table with their arms crossed, while Patrick was sitting behind the table with a sullen face, reeking of alcohol.
Patrick stared at the video clips for a long time. His face was pale, and his lips were pursed tightly.
Gloria's faint moans kept coming to his ears from the videos. The harsh curses and laughter of the others drowned her little voice.
The videos gathered by Stewart were limited. It was only the tip of an iceberg, but it was enough to make him shudder.
Patrick's hands were trembling. He could not even hold the mouse steady.
He kept watching them over and over again, his eyes were scarlet.
"That's enough! Stop torturing!" Shouted Sean.
Patrick's face turned pale. Sean could not bear to see Patrick suffer any longer. He slammed his fist on the table and it cracked.
Patrick could no longer suppress his emotions. He covered his face with both hands and growled in despair.
Sean's expression changed as he immediately took out a bottle of sedative. He came with Stewart because he was afraid that Patrick would lose control.
Stewart could not bear to look at Patrick any longer as his eyes turned red.
"I said that this thing should be destroyed. Are you satisfied now?" Sean vented his anger at Stewart. "Alpha Patrick has completely collapsed now!"
In the guesthouse near Waikiki Beach, Ellison got up early in the morning and took a shower. He put on a bathrobe and was about to draw up the curtains when he heard knocks on the door.
Ellison put down his hand and walked to the door.
The door opened, and the two of them were both stunned at the same time.
Gloria tilted her eyes away and said, "You ordered breakfast. They are all busy. So, here I am."
Only then did Ellison see that she was still holding a tray.
The corners of his mouth curled up. He glanced at Gloria and then said, "Please, come in."
Gloria didn't move. She said unhappily, "Maybe you should just take it in,"
Ellison raised his eyebrows and asked, "Do you think I am someone who would do this kind of thing?"
Gloria secretly rolled her eyes at Ellison.
She put down the tray in her hand and said, "Enjoy your breakfast. And just leave it to the housekeeping, they will clean it up later."
Then she turned around and was ready to leave.
Patrick, standing at the door, got a good look at her face. He said, "Madam, don't you want to have breakfast with me?"
Gloria raised her head. Ellison's inexplicable smile was somehow a bit annoying.
Ellison smiled and said, "Madam, you promised yesterday that you would give me a new cup and a lounge chair like yours."
"That's right. After dinner, I'll ask Corbett to bring them there," Gloria said.
Ellison shook his head. "That won't do. I have to choose it by myself."
"Do I have to present all the cups and lounge chairs for you to choose from?" Gloria did not know what Ellison meant.
"Why bother?" Ellison smiled happily and said, "Since you've promised to send me these two things, you can come with me on a tour around Hawaii. How does that sound?"
Gloria refused without thinking. "When Kate gets up, I'll ask her to go with you."
"No way." Ellison waved his index finger and leaned towards Gloria. He said, "You were the one who promised me those gifts, so you should join me for the tour."
Gloria was shocked by his face after finding that Ellison and Patrick looked somewhat similar. Her heart ached, and she shook her head to stop herself from thinking too much.
"Get out of my way!" Gloria's voice became hoarse.
Ellison was slightly stunned. He asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
"Stay away from me!" Gloria frowned.
Ellison looked at his hand in a daze. He quickly figured out why Gloria reacted like this.
"No other woman has hit my hand so hard in my entire life." Ellison covered his hands on purpose, pretending he was hurt.
Gloria's angry expression was quickly replaced by guilt. She said, "Alright, I'll go with you as an apology."
"Sorry for bothering you," Ellison said, pretending to be embarrassed.
"You know how to drive, right? Get changed. I'll wait for you downstairs." She left after saying that.
Ellison looked at her back. A hint of a smile flashed in his eyes.
The car sped along the road, and Ellison winded down the window. He asked, "Do you want some music?"
"Up to you." Gloria narrowed her eyes and leaned against the passenger seat. She had no desire to speak.
Ellison glanced at her.
The wind blew her hair, and Ellison could not help but reach out his hand.
Gloria's eyes widened and she asked warily, "What are you doing?"
"Your hair. I have OCD." Ellison said, embarrassed.
Gloria was silent for a while. She felt that she might have misunderstood Ellison. She said, "Eyes on the road, please."
Ellison turned his head back. He curled up his lips slightly, and his eyes narrowed cozily.
