Trapped by Him

Chapter 193

Ch. 191 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

A few days later, Gloria talked about her trip to the Silver Mountain Spring with Patrick.

"I have to go out for a few days. When I come back, I'll take you there," Patrick said.

"Ask Christine to stay here with me. I'm bored at home. Since Alpha Alger and Luna Camille want to make up for their mistakes..." Gloria lowered her eyes and said unhurriedly while helping Patrick pack his luggage. "Anyway, Christine will go with me, and I'm just going to go there for a while."

Patrick glanced at her and his gaze softened. "Alright then. I'll call Christine and ask her to go with you tomorrow."

The next day, Patrick asked his people to take good care of Gloria before he left.

Gloria stood at the door and waved goodbye to Patrick. "Stay safe and get back soon."

They seemed just like ordinary couples. No one would have thought that there were so many issues going on between them.

After Patrick's car was out of sight, Christine pulled Gloria and said, "Let's go. You don't need to pretend anymore."

Gloria looked at Christine and asked in surprise, "How did you know?"

Christine smiled and glanced at her. "The first time we met, I asked you why you came to Fittro Club to be a cleaner. Do you still remember your answer?"

Gloria certainly remembered what she had said at that time. "I said, I would love to be a call girl if I was qualified. But I know how I look. At least, I still can do some cleaning work."

After that, she fell silent.

Christine smiled and patted Gloria on the shoulder. "In your eyes, fawning over Patrick and being a cleaner are the same thing. It is just a deal."

Christine leaned toward Gloria and whispered, "Though you seem ruthless, no one has the right to judge you. Only you know what you have gone through, and it is normal for you to hide your true feelings."

Christine smiled and comforted Gloria, who was stunned. She said gently, "Well, it's time for us to go."

A car parked outside the Alpha's villa of the Silver Spring Pack. Gloria and Christine sat in the back seat, and Hank was the driver.

Patrick left with Leonard and the others, leaving only Hank for Gloria.

Hank and Leonard had different personalities. At least, Hank was not hostile toward her.

"Just relax." Christine placed her hand on the back of Gloria's hand.

Gloria suddenly realized that she was nervous because she was visiting her old home.

She nodded stiffly and said, "I'm fine."

The car drove into the gate of the Carter's place and stopped at the door.

"I'm here with you." Christine held Gloria's hand tightly before she got out of the car, as if she wanted to pass her courage to Gloria through her hands. She glanced at Gloria seriously and then pushed the car door open.

Hank got out of the car and opened the door for Gloria.

"Why don't you go in?" Christine asked. Gloria had been in a daze for a long time.

Gloria looked up at the familiar building in front of her. She seemed to go back to the moment before she was put into werewolf prison.

However, none of her relatives in the house went out to welcome her. The corners of her lips curved into a sarcastic smile.

How could she believe Alger's words?

Gloria knew clearly that Alger's confession was fake, but deep down, she hoped that he meant it.

She sighed and replied to Christine, "Let's go."

They entered the villa. Camille held Gloria's hand happily and took her to a quiet place to chat with her.

Christine followed Gloria into the room. Camille looked at Christine with a troubled expression.

She said awkwardly, "Gloria, she..."

Camille looked at Gloria and then at Christine. She did not want Christine to follow her.

Gloria lowered her eyes. "Christine. Camille and I haven't seen each other for a long time. We need some private time."

Christine was well-informed after being Patrick's subordinate for so long. She had long understood what Camille meant and left the room quietly. She deliberately said, "Where is the bathroom?"

Camille immediately said, "Downstairs, at the end of the corridor."

The door closed, and Christine left the room.

Christine turned around and stared at the closed door thoughtfully. With a hint of hesitation in her eyes, she gritted her teeth and walked toward the stairs.

Patrick wanted Christine to keep an eye on Gloria. If Christine chose to act rationally, she would knock on the door and pull Gloria out so that Gloria would not have any contact with Camille.

But Christine didn't have the heart to do so. She wanted to help Gloria after all.

Christine did not know what Camille and Gloria would say in the small room, but she was clear about Gloria's attitude toward the Carter family and Gloria's purpose here.

It was a rare opportunity for Gloria. Christine clenched her fists.

"Where is the Luna?" Hank watched Christine come down alone, and his eyes darkened. He asked, "Why are you alone? Didn't Alpha Patrick ask you to stay by Luna Gloria's side all the time?"

"My stomach hurts, and I need to go to the bathroom." Christine took out a cigarette and glanced at Hank. She took a puff of smoke and then let it out on Hank. She curved her lips and said frivolously, "You know her longer than I do, right? Hank, if you are worried, go and knock on the door yourself."

Christine said as she walked past Hank toward the bathroom.

Hank stood where he was, and his expression changed. Finally, he turned around and chased after Christine. He said anxiously, "Come back soon and stay with the Luna."

Christine smiled after she entered the bathroom. She was right. Compared to Leonard, Hank was not hostile to Gloria.

The small room upstairs had fallen quiet since the door was closed.

After a while, the door opened again. Gloria walked out, her face gloomy, and her thin body swayed. She held the door frame to gain her balance.

The conversation just now shocked her.
