Trapped by Him

Chapter 211

Ch. 209 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

The taxi driver was easygoing, and Gloria chatted happily with him on the way.

Gloria suddenly realized that she only tried to escape, but she didn't know what she would do after she arrived in Hawaii.

'I've got plenty of time to think about it,' Gloria said to herself. She was glad that she had sold the box of jewelry for a large sum of money.

"This is my first time in Hawaii, and I want to live in a quiet hotel. Do you have any suggestions?" Gloria asked.

"A quiet hotel? Why? Most people would choose busy places, yet you want a remote one. I live by the seaside. Last year, I remodeled my house into a family hotel. If you haven't booked one yet, you can stay at mine if you want." The driver said enthusiastically.

Time passed slowly, and they approached the beach.

"Can you open the window?" Gloria said anxiously.

As the window rolled down, she reached out her fingers, and the cool wind touched her fingertips. It was the feeling of freedom. Every time the wind blew away, it seemed to take away the messy things in her mind.

Gloria thought, 'Everything is over.

This time, it is really over.'

Gloria didn't know that after she left, Patrick was about to go crazy. He searched the entire Gabbs and still couldn't find her. Moreover, because Gloria didn't have a wolf, the bond between Patrick and her was weak.

Patrick investigated everyone suspicious in the Black Thorn Pack. Leonard stood with his head down. He didn't know that his straightforward or suggestive words in the past had hurt Gloria over and over again. When he didn't know the truth, he treated Gloria, who had already fled the city, with pure malice just like everyone else.

In the end, Gloria was the most innocent one.

"I'll give you a chance to explain." Patrick was sitting on the sofa in the living room and looked dispirited and haggard. His hair was messy, his face unshaven, and his eyes were cold.

Patrick glanced at Leonard. He said angrily, "Why did you change the documents? Are you Damon's accomplice? Tell me, where is she?"

The last question was what he wanted to know the most.

"I don't know where Luna Gloria is. I was just soft-hearted for a moment." Leonard did not dare to hide it anymore.

"Enough!" Patrick roared. He rubbed his eyebrows and said, "I only care about one thing. Where is she?"

Patrick was indifferent. He said coldly, "I won't continue my investigation about you. You've been working for me for so many years. I won't expel you, but I won't allow you to be a guard of the pack anymore. Just leave."

"Alpha Patrick!" Leonard looked up in disbelief. He said anxiously, "You can punish me however you want! Please let me stay!"

"Hank, take him away." Patrick rubbed his forehead, exhausted. He had not slept or rested for the past few days. Even if he was Alpha, he was not able to hold on. Right now, he no longer had the strength to deal with Leonard.

"Alpha Patrick!" Leonard shouted in disbelief.

"Leonard, don't make a scene at this time!" Hank stepped forward. He advised, "Don't cause trouble. After Luna Gloria left, Alpha Patrick was about to go crazy from searching for her. If you want to stay by Alpha Patrick's side as a guard, help him find Luna Gloria. Alpha Patrick is kind to you. Now, let's get moving!"

Leonard gritted his teeth and left reluctantly.

Patrick had a headache. Hank stepped forward and said, "Alpha Patrick, please take a rest."

He was worried that if this continued, Patrick would be the first to fall ill.

"Let's go." Patrick stood up.

"Where are we going?" Hank asked in confusion. Had Patrick found a clue about Luna's whereabouts?

"To Ellison." Patrick suspected Ellison's intentions as he appeared in the warehouse and intercepted him so coincidentally.

What Ellison had said before he left the warehouse, as well as the phone call he had picked up, was suspicious. Patrick did not believe that Ellison had only wanted to fight with him.

By the time he got rid of Ellison, Gloria had left the city!

The only explanation was that Ellison was there to buy time for Gloria to leave!

The black Bentley sped on the bustling road and arrived in front of a villa.

Patrick got out of the car. Hank and the other guards followed him and walked to the entrance of the villa.

Patrick reached out and pressed the doorbell.

"What can I help you with?" Nick, Ellison's butler, asked.

"I'm here to see Ellison," Patrick replied coldly.

"Please wait a moment," Nick said and was about to turn around when the door was pushed open. A gust of wind whistled in as Patrick and his guards walked in quickly.

"Sir, you can't barge in. You are trespassing on private property," Nick shouted anxiously from behind.

"Tell Ellison to sue me," Patrick said indifferently.

Nick complained in his heart, 'How rude they are!'

A figure suddenly appeared on the spiral staircase. It was Ellison, who had heard the sound and came downstairs.

He said lazily, "I didn't expect you to come to me. Patrick, are you here seeking my help?"

Patrick stopped. He looked up at the second floor and narrowed his eyes. "Ellison, you came to the warehouse on purpose that day, did you?"

"Yes, I did." Ellison's tone was infuriating.

Patrick sneered. He said angrily, "It's good that you admit it. Where's Gloria?"

"Gloria? She is your mate. You don't even know where she went. How would I know?" Ellison rolled his eyes.

"Don't play dumb. Four years ago, both you and Grandfather were involved in the incident, right? Even if I don't want to admit it, it is an unchangeable fact that you are my half-brother. Grandfather is selfish. He wants you to return to the Black Thorn Pack. But if you want me to treat you as my brother, then stop dreaming!" Patrick said directly to Ellison.

"You hate me. You arranged the incident four years ago. Did you intend to prove that you are more powerful than me? I misjudged Gabrielle. She is a honey-tongued but vicious woman. She paid off a few rogues to ruin Gloria's reputation so that Gloria could no longer be the Luna of the Black Thorn Pack. However, she did not expect she would be used by someone else. You paid those rogues a higher price and asked them to harm Gabrielle. You didn't frame Gloria. Grandfather did it, right?" Patrick told the truth.

He looked up at Ellison and continued, "Just like Gabrielle, you didn't expect that after Gabrielle suffered from her own conspiracy, Grandfather hinted to Damon that the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack would not accept a woman who was no longer a virgin. Damon killed Gabrielle and then framed Gloria. The fake evidence and the series of coincidences were deliberately left behind by Grandfather. Am I right?"

Patrick explained everything that happened back then in one go.

"Is that so? Why did Grandfather frame Gloria? What good is it for him to destroy Gloria?" Ellison looked calm from the outside, but inside, it was a mess.

Had Patrick figured out the truth?
