In the dead of night, Gloria went to the most remote house of the B&B. The look on her face was cold, yet the sadness in her eyes was more than obvious.
"I'm here to see you," she said in a hoarse voice, yet there was no one else in the house except her.
The room was dark, but she knew it so well that she walked forward untroubled.
She fumbled on the table, lit a candle she found, and it illuminated the picture on the table.
It was a portrait of a girl. She looked at it and said, "Mica, I miss you very much."
Mica was smiling brightly in the portrait. Gloria did not have Mica's picture. She asked a wandering artist who traveled to Waikiki Beach to draw Mica's picture based on her memory.
Gloria clenched her fists tightly, feeling bad.
"Mica, if you still don't show up in my dreams, I'll forget your face soon." Gloria didn't want to say that she was lonely, but it was the truth.
She missed Mica, but Mica didn't appear in her dreams anymore.
Gloria held Mica's portrait in her hand for a long time before she put it down. Her legs were numb, and she fell back as soon as she moved.
Just as she was about to fall to the ground, someone grabbed her waist and held her up.
"Be careful." The male voice sounded so familiar.
Gloria looked behind her. Her expression changed, and she hurriedly asked, "When did you come?"
She looked out of the corner of her eye at the door. She remembered that she had closed the door when she came in.
Gloria looked at Ellison warily and wondered how much he had heard.
Ellison said innocently, "I couldn't sleep, so I came down to take a walk. I just happened to walk this way, and I saw a light inside, so I stood at the door and looked in."
He asked, "What are you doing here so late?"
Gloria pursed her lips and did not speak.
Ellison frowned imperceptibly and thought, 'Who is Mica?'
He looked at the table. He couldn't see the portrait clearly when he was standing in the doorway.
Gloria wanted to block him, but he had already seen it, since he was much taller than her.
"Is she your relative?" he asked tentatively.
Gloria's expression changed. She said with a cold face, "Are you so fond of posing into other people's business?"
Ellison quickly raised his hands, having no choice but to give in. He said, "Fine. My bad. OK? Madam, is there anything to eat?"
The incident was soon over, and for the next few days, Ellison continued to stay at the B&B, which became more lively because of his presence.
One day, Gloria said to Kate as Ellison went up to get changed, "Go and take a look. How many days does he have left on his reservation? Put that room online and say that it will be open for reservation soon."
"Boss!" Kate seemed to have realized something. She said, "Boss, you're kicking Ellison out, aren't you?"
Gloria rolled her eyes. "You only know it now?"
Kate was about to say something when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She paused, looking dumbfounded at the man coming their way.
"Kate? Why do you open your mouth so wide?" Gloria said and then followed Kate's gaze. In the next second, she was shocked as well.
Ellison smiled and showed off his great body proudly, saying, "How do I look?"
He leaned against Gloria's ear and whispered, "You are in for a treat. Normally, no one gets to see this."
Gloria no longer looked stunned. Instead, she killed the mood by saying, "Aren't you cold?"
Ellison paused for a second, wondering, 'Gloria, are you into men or what?'
Kate pointed at Ellison. "Ellison! You've got eight abs! That's so sexy!" In the next second, nosebleeds slowly ran up her nostrils.
Kate strongly suspected that Ellison was deliberately dressing like this in front of Gloria.
Danny, the assistant who was with Ellison, blushed with shame. He did not expect that Ellison would try to seduce Gloria.
Gloria said calmly, "Your body is nothing but ordinary. I've seen similar ones countless times."
"I don't believe you." Ellison was very confident.
"Then I'll prove it to you tonight. Do you dare to make a bet with me?" Gloria said deliberately.
Ellison looked at Gloria suspiciously, feeling that something was fishy. "Tonight? Are you sure?" he asked.
He thought, 'She wants to prove it to me at night. And it's related to my body. Does she want to have sex with me?'
"OK! I'll take that bet." Ellison was thrilled.
"Wait. What is the bet? What do I get if I win?" A calculative smile gleamed in his eyes.
Gloria lowered her eyelids to hide the smile in the depths of her eyes. "That's your call."
Ellison's heart gave a quickening beat, and his Adam's apple moved a bit. On no grounds would he believe that she could prove his figure was just average.
Ellison regarded himself as the wolf that disguised himself to trick Little Red Riding Hood, and he had great potential to succeed.
The night came.
Ellison had been restless the entire afternoon, and as soon as he heard the knock, he ran over.
Before opening the door, he deliberately loosened his bathrobe.
"How come it's you? Where is your boss?" Ellison opened the door and saw Kate.
Kate had no idea that when the door was opened, she would be lucky enough to get to see such a seductive scene. She hastily said, "Ellison, why don't you get dressed now? My boss is waiting for you in the parking lot."
Ellison didn't know what was going on. He casually changed into a shirt and left the room.
From afar, Ellison saw that Gloria was already waiting next to the car.
He strode over and asked, "Didn't you say you would prove it to me tonight?"
"I did. And I am about to take you to prove it to you now," Gloria said casually.
Ellison narrowed his eyes and asked, "Take me to prove it? Where are you taking me?"
"Downtown." Then she got in the car. "Ellison, you remember the way, don't you?"
Ellison got into the car, and there was no change in his expression. He wanted to see what she was up to.
Unfortunately, no matter how he tried to sound her out along the way, she did not tell him anything.
After getting out of the car, she took him into a small alley and then entered the only bar in the alley.
"Why are we here?" Ellison had a bad feeling as he watched several male dancers bobbing on a stage in the middle of the bar, surrounded by countless women screaming and stuffing money into the men's thongs.
"I've got things to do. See you." He turned around and was about to leave.
Gloria grabbed his arm and said, "Ellison, a bet is a bet. If you win, you can name your terms. And the same goes for me. If you leave now, you'll be throwing in the towel. In such a case, leave the B&B, and I will pay for your loss."
Gloria was very familiar with the meaning in Ellison's eyes. If he wanted to play, she couldn't afford to play with him. If his feelings for her were real, it would be too much for her, and she could only ask him to leave.
The light in the bar was too dim for her to see the icy expression on Ellison's face.
She said, "Ellison, let's go."
She raised her foot and was about to leave when someone pulled her back. And then she heard Ellison's voice. He said, "There was never a bet from the beginning. You just wanted to get rid of me, didn't you?"
She shuddered inexplicably and said, "It's what's best for you."
Ellison smiled. He pressed her ear and said, "I'll take the bet."
She turned around subconsciously and saw that Ellison had walked up to the stage. She was stunned.
She just wanted to scare him away. It never occurred to her that Ellison would let go of his dignity and walk up.
He was so dazzling under the spotlight that he immediately caught everyone's attention.
When he used his fingertips to unbutton his shirt slowly, those women below the stage screamed crazily, "Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!"
They were throwing money onto the stage like crazy.
Ellison looked around. Through the screaming audience, he spotted Gloria in the dim environment accurately.
She was under the stage, and her lips were slightly pale. She opened her mouth and said to Ellison on the stage, "That's enough."
The music and screams around them were too loud, and Ellison couldn't hear her at all.
Yet Ellison smiled sarcastically after reading her lips. Instead of stopping, he reached for the belt of his suit pants.
Under people's passionate stare, Ellison pulled his belt.
