Trapped by Him

Chapter 216

Ch. 214 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

"Patrick, did you lose your pride and confidence? The Patrick I know will always be determined and make everyone proud. I don't know this damn drunkard. As long as you want, I'll ask Stewart to buy a plane ticket for you right now. You can go anywhere you want. What if the Moon Goddess lets you two meet again?" Sean could not watch Patrick ruin himself. He roared, hoping that Patrick could cheer up again.

"No, she won't see me again." Dejected, Patrick stared at his palm in a daze. He muttered, "She ran away. She hates me. I know."

Patrick picked up a wine bottle on the ground and held it high. He put the bottle near his mouth, only to find there was no single drop of liquor inside.

Patrick was still tilting the wine bottle with a blank expression. He was completely drunk.

Sean looked down at Patrick and couldn't hide the pain in his eyes.

Sean's eyes fell on Patrick's palm. He thought, 'Gloria, you think you just left behind a letter telling the truth to Patrick. But this note is your trial letter to Patrick, a knife with which you stabbed him.'

Sean knew Patrick well. Patrick could be flamboyant, domineering, valiant, and also rational. But Sean had never seen Patrick so desperate, as if he had lost hope.

Although Sean knew the importance of the mate to werewolves, he still found Patrick's dejection unbelievable.

The memories flooded Sean's mind. The scene was so similar.

The first time they met after Gloria was released from the werewolf prison was in the luxurious private room of the Fittro Club.

They were also surprised at how Gloria, who was once proud and confident, became so humble in those three years.

However, now Patrick was overwhelmed with pain. He was tasting the suffering that Gloria had once endured.

Patrick took away her pride and confidence by keeping her in the werewolf prison for three years.

In turn, she destroyed Patrick's pride and confidence by leaving him for three years.

Sean understood that Patrick was deliberately punishing himself. But how could he stand by when Patrick was so depressed?

Sean twisted open the bottle in his hand expressionlessly. The smell of alcohol instantly filled the room. Sean poured all the transparent liquor on Patrick's head, who was sitting on the floor next to the bed. He said numbly, "Is it enough? There is still more."

Time seemed to stop.

Patrick carefully protected the letter paper in his palm as if it was something more precious than his life.

Sean said, "Patrick, I don't know if she hates you or not, but I do know you still owe her an apology."

Sean threw down the bottle in his hand and walked past the drunk Patrick. Sean opened the door and stopped.

"Think about what you need to do." Sean left after saying that. He slammed the door shut.

The bedroom was dark again. It was dim and messy.

Outside the bedroom, Kevin saw Sean come out. He quickly went up and asked, "How is Alpha Patrick?"

Sean rubbed the space between his eyebrows anxiously. He said, "Let him be."

"What does that mean?" Kevin did not understand.

"There's no need to prepare meals for him. Just give him some pills for the hangover," Sean said a little irritably.

Kevin fell silent.

Sean sneered. "No one can help him, and he has to walk out that door himself."

"I will come back tomorrow," Sean said and left.

A post suddenly appeared on Facebook saying that an Airbnb guesthouse in Waikiki Beach took deposits but chased out the customers. The dark secrets caused a sensation and attracted many people's attention.

But the post soon disappeared.

In a study on the third floor of a suburban villa.

"Ellison, the post has been deleted. The technical department has found the poster. We asked the young couple. This is a dialogue record." The man in a black suit was Ellison's assistant Danny, who answered with a serious face. Then Danny came over to hand a recording pen to Ellison behind the desk.

A large, slender hand reached out from behind the desk. Ellison took the recording pen and pressed the button.

As the recording progressed, Ellison narrowed his eyes while hidden in the dark.

Ellison twirled with the recording pen in his hand. He slightly curled up his lips.

Was it really her?

"The photo in the Facebook post is too blurry. Did you ask him for the original one?" Ellison's voice was a little hoarse and low as he asked.

"Ellison, we've got the original photo," Danny said as he respectfully handed the phone over.

Ellison took over the phone and saw the photo on the screen. He looked at it carefully. It was undoubtedly a photo taken secretly.

Maybe the young couple just wanted to expose the appearance of the guesthouse, but they accidentally captured the silhouette of a woman.

Ellison looked at the photo in a daze. He accidentally saw a boring complaint posted about the guesthouse on Facebook. When he was about to zoom out, he suddenly glanced at a figure. He was stunned and could no longer shift his gaze.

He quickly asked the company staff to deal with this thing.

The photo on the phone was clearer, but the figure in front of the window was still too blurry to see.

Even so, the side face still looked familiar to him.

'Is it really her?' Ellison stared at the photo on the phone. He was a little uncertain, but the next second, he raised his head and ordered, "Go to the airport. Conduct a second inspection before the plane takes off."

Danny nodded and went to arrange the private plane, leaving Ellison alone in the study.

His eyes were shining with excitement in the dark.

Not long after, an SUV on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, was driving on the road. The window was winding down, and the wind brought in some fresh air.

"This place, right?" The car slowly stopped. In the back seat of the car, Ellison frowned and looked around.

The Waikiki Beach was long, and there were countless guesthouses along the beach. Most visitors would choose to stay near Waikiki Beach. But the guesthouse in the photo was a bit far from the beach.

"That's right. It's here," the driver replied.

"Keep driving," Ellison ordered.

The car started again and drove to the door of the guesthouse.
