After the final stake was announced, many people breathed a sigh of relief. They were afraid that Patrick would make a comeback. If so, they would suffer.
People looked at Patrick, who was once high and mighty, and noticed that his face had become paler.
"Patrick, since we have the result, you should withdraw from the position of the CEO of the Hammond Group." Someone stood up excitedly and scolded Patrick, "Pack up your personal belongings and leave the company immediately."
"Who said that the decision was final?" In the conference room, a voice suddenly sounded. "I haven't voted yet."
Alex, Ellison, and the others in the conference room turned to look at the person who spoke.
"Mark? What are you doing?" Damon was the first to speak.
Mark stood up with a smile. He walked behind Patrick and said, "Did I say that I would take Alex's side?"
Other shareholders felt it ridiculous.
They complained in their hearts, 'Aren't you the first to support Alex?'
"Mark, what are you doing?" Damon was exasperated. "Everyone knows what kind of person you are!"
He was no longer in consideration of the occasion.
If Mark rebelled, they would be the ones to suffer in the future!
They knew Patrick's personality. When he got even with them later, none of them would be able to escape!
Mark smiled kindly. He was not annoyed by Damon's words at all. He said calmly, "That's right. Everyone here, even all the people in Gabbs, knows what kind of person I am."
His expression changed all of a sudden. His smiles gave way to coldness. "But you don't know that Alpha Patrick once saved my life!"
As he spoke, Mark turned around and said respectfully to Alex, "Alpha Alex, I'm afraid I'm going to disappoint you."
In people's eyes, Patrick was indifferent and heartless. However, he was injured when saving Mark many years ago. Mark would not forget Patrick's kindness and betray him.
Alex's eyes widened. He was enraged by Mark's sudden betrayal and coughed violently.
Damon's expression changed. "Alpha Alex, are you alright?"
After a while, Alex finally suppressed the feeling of dizziness. He said weakly, "I'm fine."
Ellison was also shocked. They had guessed the beginning of the meeting, but they failed to predict the result of the meeting.
"Alex, hang on there. I'll drive you to the hospital." Ellison knew that there was no need to stay any longer. He stood up and bent down to pick up the weak Alex.
Patrick was sitting still. He didn't even stand up.
Damon walked to the door of the conference room. Then, he turned back and cursed at Patrick, "He is your grandfather. How can you just sit there?"
After that, he chased Ellison without looking back.
The people in the conference room also left one after another.
Hank reported to Patrick, who still sat up straight on the chair, "Alpha Patrick, everyone left."
However, Patrick sat there as if he hadn't heard him.
"Hank, go first," Patrick ordered calmly. No one noticed that his hands on his knees were trembling slightly.
He did not explain it to Damon. Just as he was about to stand up and send Alex to the hospital, he suddenly couldn't see anything but darkness.
Sean mind linked Patrick and asked, "Is the meeting over? What should we do next?"
The fights in the Hammond Group would not end because of Patrick's victory in the board meeting.

A shrewd and capable leader was urgently needed.
"Sleep," Patrick said calmly.
Sean felt that something was wrong. "What did you say? You want to sleep at this time?"
"Yes, I need to rest." Patrick's expression was cold but firm. "I'm exhausted and I need to rest."
Sean chuckled. "It's rare to see. Patrick, I didn't know you also feel tired sometimes."
"I'm drained." Patrick's vision had returned to normal. This time, he was temporarily blinded for a minute. What about the next time?
He knew that if illness defeated his yearning, he would no longer be able to be with Gloria.
Sean laughed. "Alright, have a good rest. Leave the rest to me."
Patrick slept for a whole day.
Sean found it unbelievable. Such a thing had never happened to Patrick. He put aside his work and hurried to Alpha's villa.
Sean rolled up his sleeves and smashed the door, ignoring Kevin's obstruction.
"Do you have a spare key? Give it to me!" Sean asked while pounding on the door.
As he turned back to look at Kevin, a familiar voice sounded in the room. "I'm not dead yet."
Sean's eyes were filled with joy. He entered the room and patted Patrick on the shoulder. "You scared me to death."
Seeing Sean's worried expression, Patrick explained, "I'm fine. I'm just too tired."
They began to talk about the Hammond Group. Sean said, "While you were sleeping, I could only manage to ease the tension in the Hammond Group, but that is not the most urgent issue we need to settle." He raised his head and looked at Patrick solemnly. "What are you going to do?"
Patrick talked about his plan. "A major capital injection to the group."
Sean raised a cruel question. "Where did you get the money?"
"Do you know the AG Group?" Patrick asked.
Sean nodded. "I heard it started to make a name in recent years. Though it's a startup, it is one of the wealthiest companies on Wall Street."
"That's right. It's mine." Patrick nodded.
"What? Yours?" Sean jumped up.
"Who else knows about it?" Sean asked in despair after a moment of silence.
"Just you and me," Patrick said calmly.
Suddenly, Sean was in a good mood again. "You didn't even tell Stewart about it. He is gonna be mad at you.
"Although the AG Group is yours, if you use its capital to invest in Hammond Group, your money will be put into the pockets of the shareholders of the Hammond Group."
Sean thought that Patrick would suffer a great loss.
Patrick raised his eyebrows and said matter-of-factly, "The Hammond Group is also mine."
After that, Patrick got up, meaning that Sean should leave now.
He returned to work after resting for a few more days. When Stewart called him, Patrick was a little shocked.
He looked at Ellison and said, "You won't mind it, will you?"
He picked up the phone before Ellison could respond.
Patrick was clear that it was not Stewart who was calling him. He waited patiently for her to speak first.
"Let the Carter Group go," Gloria said in a stiff voice.
Patrick was sitting behind his desk. His eyes were filled with rapture after he heard her voice.
He smiled faintly and said in a magnetic voice, "Are you begging me? Or is it your request?"
