Gloria walked forward as fast as she could. She could not move quickly due to her legs, yet right now, she reached the stage within just a few seconds.
Gloria squeezed through the crowd, though she wasn't strong to begin with. She pushed her way to the front of the stage and said, "Ellison! Get down!"
Ellison's gaze fell on her face. He looked at her and pulled off his belt in a fit of pique.
He smiled at her, as if he was saying to her, "Are you going to drive me away? You say it's best for me. What do you know about what I want?"
"Ellison! I don't want to bet anymore!" she shouted at the stage in a hoarse voice, sounding like a duck.
"It's too late." Ellison's lips moved. He had made up his mind. Instead of leaving, he wanted to win the bet. He wanted Gloria!
Memories surged in Gloria's mind. In her eyes, Ellison right now was just like her in the past!
But Ellison didn't deserve it!
She walked to the center of the stage, bent down to pick up the white shirt from the ground, reached for Ellison's hand, which was on the zipper of his suit pants, and said to him, "Come with me."
Ellison was stunned by her solemn expression.
The audience below the stage was unhappy. "Who are you? Move away!"
She turned to glare at them. "Shut up. He's my boyfriend! I am now taking him away. Who wants to stop me?"
Ellison looked up in surprise, his heart quivering.
He suddenly snatched Gloria into his arms, walked down the stage while protecting her, and pushed his way through the crowd outside the bar.
He put on his shirt, sat in the car, and looked at Gloria. "What did you just say?"
"Ellison, I apologize for what happened today. I am very sorry for what I did. It wasn't appropriate at all. I was mean," Gloria said seriously.
Ellison smiled, feeling his heart cold. He said, "Your joke isn't mean. The mean part lies in your intention of getting rid of me. Am I right?"
After a while, she said, "I am not a kid anymore. How can I not see it when you make it so obvious?"
"Then why are you trying so hard to get rid of me?" Ellison's chest heaved. "Madam, when you made these decisions, did you ask me for my opinions?"
He questioned as his chest heaved more violently.
He thought, 'I swear to the Moon Goddess that I have never cared so much for a woman.'
"Madam! What the heck are you afraid of?" He knew how important Patrick was to Gloria. However, Patrick had already rejected her. He didn't get it. How come he was not to be compared with Patrick?
Jealousy overwhelmed him, leaving him irrational. He blurted out, "Or is your past that nasty?"
"That's not true!" Gloria felt that all the blood in her body had frozen. She immediately retorted.
Ellison came back to his senses. He leaned back in the seat, reached out, rubbed his face, and said wearily, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that."
After a while, Gloria replied, "I feel cold. Let's go back."
When they arrived at the B&B, they walked back one after the other.
Ellison didn't speak. Instead, he just followed closely behind her.
Just as Gloria was about to enter the house, she felt a force behind her, and someone said, "I'm sorry."
In the next second, her lips felt a trace of warmth.
This time, she did not move at all. She let him kiss her.
At first, Ellison was just pecking her lips. After a few seconds, he became more and more anxious. Finally, he let go of her lips in despair and placed his hands on her shoulders.
Meanwhile, her eyes were as clear as ever, without any emotions in them.
"Don't you have any feelings for me?" Ellison asked desperately.
"You are a great werewolf," she rejected him tactfully.
"I never give up easily," Ellison stood up slowly and swore, staring at Gloria in front of him.
At a suburban villa in Gabbs, Derrick was browsing online, bored. Suddenly, he stopped, turned on his laptop hastily, and then clicked on the software to process the photo he had just seen.
After he took a good look at the photo, he felt himself being filled with hope again. He thought, 'Thank you, Moon Goddess, for giving me another chance.'
Derrick knew the person who uploaded the photo and immediately made a call. He said, "Where did you take the photo you just uploaded?"
"Hawaii. I have been here for the past few days. I took the photo in a bar near Waikiki Beach." The woman was surprised.
Derrick hung up the phone quickly, deciding to go to Hawaii.
After Derrick arrived in Hawaii, he quickly found Tammy, who uploaded the photo. Tammy had no idea why Derrick would be so crazy about a woman.
Derrick had to tell Tammy about Gloria.
"So, she is that legendary Gloria from the Silver Spring Pack, the woman they say you've buried in your heart." Tammy covered her mouth in surprise.
Derrick asked Tammy about the place where Gloria appeared and then left.
Tammy was a fan of sharing her things online, and her conversation with Derrick was no exception.
Although Tammy had no contact with the members of the Black Thorn Pack, countless members of the pack wanted to curry favor with Patrick.
Almost at the same time, several calls were made to the villa of the Black Thorn Pack's Alpha.
Kevin answered a phone call and said politely, "Sorry, Alpha Patrick is busy."
"Don't hang up just yet. I have news of the Black Thorn Pack's Luna!"
Kevin's hand holding the phone froze in midair. After a second, he said to the phone seriously, "You know what happens if you don't take this seriously."
"I'm telling the truth. I have a photo to back me up," the one on the other end of the line said anxiously.
Kevin nodded politely and said, "Wait a second."
Then he quickly came to the study and knocked. He hurriedly said, "Alpha Patrick, there's a call for you."
"Tell him to piss off!" Patrick roared hoarsely. From the day he lost Gloria, he and his wolf were no longer in a good mood.
Kevin pushed the door open and entered. Smoke swirled in the study, and the dark curtains completely blocked the light.
Patrick had been working hard ever since Stewart and Sean visited. Everyone thought he was getting better, but things got worse. He separated himself from others and immersed himself in his own world. He kept working so he wouldn't think about Gloria.
"Someone says they know where Luna Gloria is," Kevin said carefully.
Behind the desk, Patrick sneered, "Over the past three years, I've had a lot of people come up to me and claim they know where Gloria is, but all they want is the partnership with the Hammond Group and the Black Thorn Pack."
"But, Alpha Patrick, he said he had a photo to prove it," Kevin whispered.
Behind the desk, Patrick held his pen in midair, and time seemed to stop.
Suddenly, Patrick popped out of his leather chair. He zoomed past Kevin and ran downstairs.
He quickly picked up the phone and said hurriedly, "Do you really know where she is?"
The one on the other end of the line quickly replied, "Yes. I have a photo."
"Where are you? I'll go find you." Patrick tightened his grip on the phone.
The one said anxiously, "Alpha Patrick, where are you? I'll come to you."
"Cut the crap. Give me your address, and I'll go to you right now," Patrick said urgently.
Patrick grabbed his car keys and left. Not long after he hung up, Kevin received a few more calls from people all claiming that they had a photo.
"Looks like there really is news about Luna Gloria this time." There was a hint of worry in Kevin's eyes. "I wonder how this is going to turn out."
Soon, he informed Stewart and Sean about what had happened.
