Trapped by Him

Chapter 210

Ch. 208 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

Leonard was efficient. The Black Thorn Pack had been in Gabbs for so many years and was well connected. Ten minutes later, Leonard replied, "Alpha Patrick, forty minutes ago, the car left Gabbs."

"I was right..." Patrick closed his eyes and clenched his fists. He said inwardly, 'I was right that she was only pretending to obey me."

He punched the table angrily. The sharp part of the broken table cut his hand, and his blood dripped down on the table.

Patrick regretted it very much. He couldn't blame Gloria's excellent acting skills. It was all because he had deceived himself.

He didn't forget that Gloria wanted to kill him that night!

He thought that he could keep her if they had a child together.

It turned out that Gloria had never given up on the idea of running away.

Patrick suddenly opened his eyes, which were filled with desperate determination. He roared, "Go after her!"

He wouldn't let her run. He would rather die in her hands than let her run away.

Patrick was determined, and so was Gloria.

This was her only chance to run away.

Gloria paid more for the driver and arrived at the airport in an hour and a half. She bought the ticket to Las Vegas while she was in the taxi.

She knew that with Patrick's ability, he would find the taxi driver sooner or later. By then, he would figure out where she went.

If she booked the ticket in Gabbs, she would likely be blocked by Patrick in the departure lounge.

She wouldn't take that risk.

She thought that no matter how smart Patrick was, he wouldn't expect she would take a taxi to leave Gabbs and book the ticket.

However, Gloria underestimated Patrick.

Patrick had caught up with her.

With a gloomy face, he stopped the taxi that had just taken Gloria at an intersection. He asked the driver, "The woman in your car just now. Where did she go?"

The taxi driver struggled a bit. He was sweating and said, "I can't reveal the client's personal information."

As soon as he finished his words, a group of guards approached him. He was so scared that he shouted, "I'll tell you!"

"Was that this woman in your car?" Patrick said as he raised his phone in front of the taxi driver. "She is my wife. She left because she had a squabble with me. Tell me, do you know where she went? She is pregnant. If something happens to her, you'll be responsible too."

"So you are a couple. Why didn't you tell me earlier?" The taxi driver wiped the sweat off his face. He said calmly, "I sent her to the airport."

"Airport?" Patrick pondered, 'Does Gloria have an ID card? She shouldn't be able to get a new one.'

Patrick's eyes gradually darkened. Alger and Camille could help her with that.

Gloria had been to the Silver Spring Pack several times recently.

"Did she say which city she was going to?" Patrick asked.

"She was going to Las Vegas. She bought a ticket for the latest fight. She got out of the car in a hurry because she had to board immediately," The taxi driver answered honestly.

Patrick shouted, "Leonard."

Leonard took out a stack of money and handed it to the driver. "Thank you. This is a reward from the boss of Fittro Club."

With that, Leonard stuffed the money into the driver's hands, ignoring his stunned expression.

Leonard caught up to Patrick and got into the car.

"Go and check all the fights departure for Las Vegas around this time and check if the latest one has taken off," Patrick said.

"Yes." Leonard immediately took action.

After a while, Leonard answered, "Alpha Patrick, the plane just took off. What should we do?"

"I remember that my grandfather has a private plane," Patrick said as he asked the driver to change directions.

Christine's forehead was covered in sweat. Patrick narrowed his eyes and asked, "Christine, what's going on with you?"

"Nothing, just a bit hot. The wound still hurts a little." Christine's answer was reasonable. Patrick stared at her for a while before turning his head away.

No one knew that Christine's back had been soaked in a cold sweat.

Patrick boarded the private plane, and the plane took off quickly.

He was on his way to Las Vegas.

However, Gloria did not take the flight to Las Vegas. She changed direction outside the airport.

She went to get a new bank card and then pawned the diamond necklace in the iron box.

She felt ironic. She was escaping from him, yet she could only support herself with the gift Patrick gave him.

The jewelry that Patrick gave Gloria was worth a lot. The diamond necklace cost more than several hundred thousand dollars. However, the buyer lowered the price deliberately when he saw that Gloria was in a hurry to sell it.

"You know the value of this necklace, you are bullying me," Gloria said firmly. However, she suddenly changed her tone. "But if you can give me fifty thousand dollars in cash now, then we have a deal."

"Is there a problem with the source of the goods?" The buyer asked cautiously.

Gloria understood. The buyer was afraid that the diamond necklace was a product of unknown origin.

She found the receipt in the iron box. "There is a receipt."

The buyer was relieved when he saw the receipt.

As long as the diamond necklace was not a stolen item, he didn't care about why Gloria would sell it at such a low price.

He said, "Leave the receipt to me."

After that, the buyer said to the assistant, "Go and prepare fifty thousand dollars in cash."

He often had a large amount of cash in reserve in his pawn shop.

"Should I get someone to send you off?" He asked tentatively.

Gloria looked back with a forced smile. "Thank you, but no."

She was carrying a black cloth bag. It was not noticeable when the cash was stuffed into it.

Then, she saved the money into her new bank card, leaving only ten thousand dollars in cash.

Gloria went to another city and pawned other jewelry from the iron box and put the money in the bank.

She went to several stores until only one diamond ring was left in the iron box. She rubbed the diamond ring and stood there for a long time.

Finally, she threaded the ring onto the necklace Christine gave her and wore it on her neck.

Gloria did have much luggage and bought a plane ticket to Hawaii.

The moment the plane took off, she breathed a sigh of relief. She felt the plane going up.

She finally got herself out of the mire.

The sky in Hawaii was blue and close. It seemed that Gloria could touch it with a stretch of her hand.

After she walked out of the airport, she almost couldn't help shouting, "I'm free!"

"Do you need a taxi?" Many cars were waiting at the entrance of the airport. And one of the drivers asked her.

"Waikiki Beach!" Gloria said. She repeated loudly, "I want to go to Waikiki Beach!" Then, she said it a third time, as if she still didn't believe it was true.

"I heard you. You don't need to shout. I'm not deaf," the driver joked.

On the way, Gloria seemed to have become a different person. For the first time, she felt so relaxed.
