The Ruthless Alpha's Innocent Breeder

Chapter 55

Ch. 55 / 140 Jan 12, 2026

Eero’s perspective

After Leo's death, the Blood Moon was taking over his pack. There were so many things that Claudius needed to sort out himself. If not, another he-wolf from Red Moon Pack would ascend to lead it.

“You look so tired, Alpha.” I said to him early in the morning

“And you're the one who's tiring me each night, little wolf,” he whispered in my ears, his fingers running against my waist, touching my skin.

“You're twisting the story, Alpha. You're the one who can't get enough of me. And you've been fucking me EVERY NIGHT since the night of our mating ceremony.” I retorted, narrowing my eyes at him.

Claudius stole a peck on my lips, and then he brought back the thread like thin distance between us.

“Should I make love to you DURING DAY too?” He was moving closer to me, “How about we START OUR DAY with that as our morning routine?”

“And END THE DAY with you inside of me too? Wouldn't that make you a sex addict ?” I got up from bed, reaching out for a blanket. Before I managed to wrap myself with the blanket, he had snatched it from me.

“Alpha!”

“This blanket is mine. Just go and get your own. I wouldn't mind you walking naked,” he said, smirking.

I only rolled my eyes at him before sprinting across the gap between bed and bathroom.

Claudius was up and all dressed up when I got out of the bathroom. My feet brought me to the walk-in closet, and his scent told me that he was just right behind me.

“I've been meaning to give this to you, but it took me a while to find it,” he said.

I turned back to him with curiosity as he showed me the pendant of a necklace, with its chain still wrapping around his finger.

“Is that a family's heirloom?” I asked.

In middle of the round pendant of the necklace was the same howling head of the dire wolf from the music box.

“It's the Xerxes' heirloom, not the Cormac's. But Cielo said that Alpha King Asael passed it down to his firstborn grandchildren.”

“Since you have this, the Alpha King must consider you as his firstborn grandson. Why do you want me to keep it?”

He looked at our reflection in the mirror, and then shook his head. “I’ve no idea. It's my wolf telling me that you're the one who’s meant to wear that.”

“But I am not the Alpha King's grandchild,” I countered. But deep inside, I’d no longer wanted to let go of it the minute I had this necklace in my hand.

“It doesn't matter if you’re not his grandchild. By blood I’m not his grandchild either, yet he chose to give it to me, and I’m choosing to give it to you now.”

“Is that a new gift from the Alpha?” Soleil asked. We were at the market, running errands for the main house.

I nodded my head, and she peeked at my neck.

“It's beautiful,” she commented as her fingers traced the head of the dire wolf.

“Miss!” A young girl's voice halted our steps.

“Hello, little girl.” I crouched and played with the girl's curl. But the smile on my face soon faded after I saw her eyes never leaving my tummy.

“Little girl, what do you want from the Luna?” Soleil asked her.

But the girl didn't even spare a glance at Soleil.

“Do you want to buy this crochet blanket for your baby?” The little girl showed us a baby blanket with intricate details, which formed the cute head of a wolf.

“I made this myself,” her voice beamed of happiness.

“I don't have a baby yet, but…" I took the baby blanket from her hands, feeling the warmth of it, “I think I'll buy this blanket still, for my future baby,” I said, smiling.

“Luna Eero, you already have a baby in your belly… can't you feel his heartbeat?” She asked me.

The smile on my lips froze when I saw a woman in her mid-forties shouted.

“That's the little girl whole stole my purse last night! Catch her!”

The young girl tsked in annoyance as she was caught for her scheme. She ran away, and before I could even say anything to her, my eyes could no longer find her.

“That little girl is a menace! Luna, didn't you lose anything?” Soleil asked me, which brought me back from my thoughts.

She was holding my purse, checking whether something was missing.

“Let's go to the pharmacy.” I said, “Go buy me five different pregnancy kits—make it ten.”

“Wait! Do you seriously believe in that girl? She is a theft. What she has told you must be part of her modus.”

I held the baby blanket tighter in my hand.

“Just go ahead and buy them for me. It won't hurt to give this a shot. There is something in her words that makes me want to take a pregnancy test, Soleil.”

**********

A gasp escaped my lips after I got the result from the last pregnancy kit.

“All of them are showing two red lines. It means I’m pregnant,” I muttered to myself.

I bumped into Cielo when stepping out of the comfort room downstairs. The pregnancy kits in my hand jolted her towards me.

“L-Luna, y-you are pregnant? The Alpha would be delighted to hear about this!”

“Cielo, how long has it been since the solar eclipse?” I asked before answering her question.

“The solar eclipse that happened during your mating ceremony? It was exactly a week ago… Why?”
