Sophie
After they started playing, and the game got more intense, I decided to start preparing lunch. Roxie followed right behind, using one side of the countertops while I used the other. Some of the workers had brought two stovetop's for us to work in. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pictures of them playing, but making sure to keep an eye on the patties.
I prepared the meat by seasoning it and making the patties one by one. Roxie was doing the same, and it honestly looked like she was doing a good job. Midway towards the food preparations, the boys decided to take a water break. They all ran to fill up on water and went back to start another game. Logan came behind me, slapping my butt really hard. I winced at the burn of his slap and turned to see a big smile on his face.
"Logan?" he chuckles, pulling me by my waist and kissing me. "Having a little too much fun out there, aren't you?" I say as I place my hands on his chest, "pff, why, because of Kyle? He's a man, he can take it. He's fine, babe. Just a little game, that's all." He replies grabbing a bottle of water with his free hand and chugging it. He drops the rest of the water on top of his head and shakes his head, wetting me as he chuckles. "Logan?" he chuckles and kisses my nose. "You're such a dork." I sneer at him.
"Mommy, can I play too?" Nate asks making my eyes go wide in worry. "Umm, sweetheart, I'm not sure it would be such a good idea. I-"
"Nonsense, come on buddy, let's go play some football," Logan replies lifting him and sitting him over his shoulders. "Logan, no, he can get hurt." I worried the guys would be too rough and hurt him. "Baby, it'll be fine, I'll make sure he doesn't get hurt, ok?" he says as he winks and walks back towards the area they were playing.
I continue cooking, glancing over towards the game, hoping they won't be too rough, but to my surprise, the game turned more playful than before. The guys loved Nathan and they were helping him play, messing around, and playing like little kids.
Roxie and I prepared a bunch of burgers, though I knew Logan would not like mustard on his burgers, so I made them with a different dressing his mom had taught me to do back in high school. It was so good, I actually started making it at the coffee shop I worked in California, it was a big hit. I placed the burgers for him with the same dressing on a separate plate and made two burgers for Nate with only the meat, the dressing, and cheese, just like my baby liked them.
Then, I prepared mine and Ash, with the works and extra pickles for Ash as she likes them.
The workers had come and set up the dining table for us, along with drinks, appetizers, and a tray with fruit. Which, I knew, Logan and Nate would attack that tray. Something else they have in common, they both love eating fruit.
Just as the game ended, Meghan and the rest of the group got here, including Sam's girlfriend and Meghan's boyfriend.
The boys came back from the game, and everyone began to sit around, grabbing burgers, and other side dishes to accompany the burger. Logan realized that all the burgers that Roxie had done had mustard, and yes, all the other burgers I did had mustard as well. He came close to me as I grabbed the plates I did separately and whispered, "Babe, you put mustard on them? You know I hate eating mustard on my-" he says as I lift his plate in front of me, making him smile. "Mm, thanks, baby girl. I'm starving."
I smile, cupping his cheek and kissing his lips. I turned, grabbing my baby's plate and Ashley's, handing over the plates. "Thank you, mommy." Nate's eyes lit up as he sees his plate, I reach over, placing a few chips along with his plate, and make my way to grab my plate, taking a seat next to Logan and my son.
The rest of the meal was so good. I was so stuffed, but even after eating almost all the food, Logan and Nate still sat down at a separate small table, eating the fruit that one of the girl workers had brought in. They ate away and played on my son's Nintendo Switch console. We all had a great time, for a while, Roxanne even backed off and stayed away from us, talking to everyone else and enjoying her time.
Around three in the afternoon, we went to change into more comfortable clothing. We took a long hike up the mountain and came up to this place where they were already waiting for us to go zip lining. I was a bit nervous, to say the least. Mainly for Nate, but when it came to his turn, he went with Logan, strapping onto him like a kangaroo, and held onto him excitedly.
There are no words for me to describe how happy this trip has made me, seeing how well Nate and Logan are getting along. Nate's completely smitten by his dad, and Logan is trying so hard, though he seems to naturally be a good dad, no, an AMAZING dad.
"Ok, buddy, you ready?" Logan asks Nate as he gets ready to take off. Nate giggles, and tightens his grip on Logan, "Ready!" he says excitedly. Logan looks back at me with a smile and winks. "Say, bye mom. See you on the other side." Logan says, making Nate repeat his words. "Be careful guys. I love you two." I say as Logan jumps off and they both take off quickly. They both woot in excitement. But my heart pounds vastly as I see them take off.
"Don't worry, they'll be fine. Logan will protect him." Amber says as the guy finishes strapping me in. Soon, it's my turn, and I take off, followed by Amber and Sam, who strapped Amber's daughter in with him. The whole thing was exhilarating. It was so much fun, it felt like I was flying out there. When I got to the end, Logan was kneeled down on one knee, with his arm around Nate, pointing at me with a smile, and talking to Nate.
Nathan looked a bit worried but a huge smile formed on his little face as he saw me getting closer. I finally made it to the reaching point, getting engulfed in a huge bear hug by my two men after the guy unhooked me.
On the way back down, we stopped at a hidden cave with a small water source in it. It was beautiful, the sunlight hit the water beautifully from above, making it look so majestic. I took advantage and snapped a lot of pictures since I had brought my camera along. I took advantage and snapped pictures of Logan showing Nate around, pointing to the beautiful sight the cave had to offer.
Troy looked down at his watch. "Alright, guys, we should head back, the sun will start going down soon." we made our way out of the cave, but not before taking a few more pictures of myself with my boys. My favorite was one where Logan was kissing me, and another of the three of us together.
When we came back down, we sat down and enjoyed each other's company. The guys sat around talking and drinking, while the girls sat down to have a nice glass of wine together. Roxie was pretty nice and funny when she wasn't trying to be a bitch with me, or trying to get into my man's pants. As she began to get tipsy, her eyes wandered off to Steven instead. God, I do hope she forgets about Logan and decides to seek Steven instead.
My son had become fond of Amber's daughter. They had been playing together since we got back to the camping grounds, sharing his console and playing on Ashley's iPad. When Ashley's battery ran out, Logan grabbed his phone and permitted Nate to download games on his phone.
By nightfall, everyone went to their tents and freshened up for dinner. This time, we didn't have to cook. The dinner and the rest of the meals would be prepared by the resort. Logan came out wearing casual clothing, with black slacks and a blue buttoned-up shirt, his hair nicely combed back and to one side. "Wow, you look hot, babe," I say making him chuckle, and his cheeks turning red. "I have a little surprise for you, mind-changing into this beauty and following me somewhere?" he says pointing to a white box he pulled out from under the bed. I smiled and opened it slowly, inside was a navy blue chiffon dress with white heels. "Logan, this is beautiful," I said as I admired the dress.
He helped me change into it, I left my hair down and clipped on one side, made my makeup lightly, and placed my heels on. "You look beautiful, Sophie," he says as he slowly trails his hands around my waist and kisses my lips. "Mom? Logan? I'm ready." Nate peeks in, making my eyes go wide.
Ashley had changed him into a cute blue suit and a bow tie, combing his hair back like Logan's. "Baby, you look so handsome," I say as I crouch down, he runs into my arms, hugging me.
"Let's go," Logan says as he picks him up and holds his hand out for me.
Everyone was already sitting at the table eating, but he pulled us the opposite way to a secluded area. My mouth was gawked open in amazement as I see a candlelit path to a table beautifully arranged with three seats. "Logan, this is beautiful."
"I wanted to do something special for the two of you," he says as we come up to the table, and helps us sit. He reaches out for my hand and Nate's with a smile. "Sophie, the reason I set this table so far is to tell you two something really important. I want to compromise myself with the two of you. Today, I, Logan Alexander Spencer, promise, to be there for the two of you, no matter what, I will do my best to be a good dad to you Nathan, and be the best man you deserve, Sophie. I want to be in your lives and ask that you accept me into yours. I will love you to the moon and back, a million times and more." he says looking between us.
Nathan lets go of his hand and engulfs Logan with a big bear hug, making him smile. Tears run down the three of us, as we make a promise to be a family that will always love and supports each other. To always lookout for the best for Nate, and give him the best life we can, as his parents and as a couple.
I reach for him, kissing him, I can feel his smile, making me smile as well. "To the moon and back?" I ask.
"Yes, to the moon and back," he replies giving me another kiss.
